Horrible experience, we ordered take away to have dinner at hotel after midnight. We drove all the way to the main city, but the mixed veg was stale, biryani spicy and lacked flavour, rice was undercooked. Complete disaster food, we couldn’t eat anything. The staff was very friendly, helpful but the chef is not good at all & how can they serve old stale food. We are tourists with old people along & had no other option of any food at hotel. Never had such an experience before. Waste of money.

An average Indian restaurant, we went there because of the reviews to our horror..dish that we ordered..was the worst paneer masala I had ever had, the gravy was under cooked and when we complained they put more red chilies and served back to us . We had to order raita to sooth ourselves . Chicken hot wings were okay okay, roti was good. It’s a small space with mediocre ambience. No taste like Indian food but yeah it might be good for locals

Great service, nice people. Food is very good and generous portions. Price is good. The chicken soup with lentils and lemon fantastic. I will recommend this place. I am.coming back for sure.

Less then expected The reviews are high but it’s not I ordered chicken briyan - there’s very small pieces of chicken - no taste Butter chicken it has no flavors no spices There’s a rice with the butter chicken its dry no salt Dal was good Nan was perfect Coca-Cola awesome

Really solid Indian food. We have been twice. Everything has been delicious, fresh, and flavorful. Good portion sizes and value. Unusual attention to detail, such as making sure plates are warm and food stays warm throughout the meal. Spicy if you want but spice level is marked on the menu so it’s easy to avoid if you don’t.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. We are not versed in Indian food but we live the spices and decided to try it out. Such a wonderful experience. I neglected to get garlic naan (my fault totally & it made me sad) and when I mentioned this to our waitress she told the owner (I think?) Anyway, he offered us an after dinner cordial on the house - totally not necessary and yet capped off our wonderful evening in a most unforgettable manner! Thank you to all!!

Very average Indian restaurant. Some of the pieces mix tandoori platter were pre cooked and just re heated. Their speciality chicken tikka Marsala was pretty average. The place is very small. I can’t say it’s bad, but not great either. Quite average

What a lovely little place! Everything was delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming. We had more than we could eat at €60. for two people. Would have been less, but I was so thirsty and ordered 3 drinks myself. An Amsterdam must in my books!

The food was really good, prices for Amsterdam are also regular. I would say for what you get it was not expensive. The staff was very very helpful and friendly, kept asking is everything good. We left the restaurant full and happy! 😊

Phenomenal food and service. Decor is a bit dated but who cares when you get fed delicious food. Not greasy (which puts me off British Indian cuisine) very very nice and accommodating staff. Hands down one of the best Indians I’ve ever ever had! If you’re nearby and hungry do not hesitate. Was worth every penny.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Central of Amsterdam with reasonable prices. Staff are also kind and well mannered. We liked vegetarian food comparatively to Non vegetarian. Non veg platter is too good with variety of starters and Panner tikka masala gravy is good compared to Chicken tikka masala

We had been looking for a restaurant that allows dog for almost an hour with no success until we came across the Samrat Indian. The waitress was incredibly nice and treated our dogs with a lot of care. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. 100% recommended.

We stumbled on this restaurant last night. The staff were so nice and friendly. We were served with 2 poppadoms with mango chutney and mint yoghurt. We then ordered for chicken bhuna, chicken madras, rice, keema naan and peshwari naan. I also got salad with my meal as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Food was great quality, proper chicken breasts. It would have been great with more seasoning, but asides that, we enjolyed our meal. I will definitely go back there if I stayed longer in Amsterdam. Food was good portion and we were full after our meal, no room for pudding.

Loved it! I booked it through theFork and the service was impeccable, the waitress was super friendly and suggested traditional dishes that were vegetarian (our restriction) and super tasty! Definitely worth it. Bonus: it was extremely clean!

Really delicious food, and plenty of it. The Tikka masala was so good! The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive, checking in numerous times to make sure we had everything we wanted. They offered extra rice etc. Cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. Would definitely visit again.

Great find, very quiet (came at like 9:30/10. Staff were brilliant and could not do enough for me. Lovely prawn tandoori and veg. Brilliant space to sit and chill out.

Ordered the chicken korma, it was depressingly bland and the sauce lumpy, like gruel, the rice on par with budget supermarket brands. Disappointing. Service efficient, prices decent. Interestingly, on the menu the chicken korma is billed as “house specialty.” This tasted more like an afterthought than the house dish.

It was all in all am amazing experience. We went together as a group of 10 people and ordered a bunch of different dishes to share. Everyone was so nice and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend!!

Food tasted delicious and the service was 10/10. I would definitely recommend. I will be back.
