Ever
since
I
came
across
this
restaurant
while
biking
around
the
neighbourhood,
I
have
been
wanting
to
try
out
their
menu.
Especially
their
desserts
in
the
display
counter
that
I
was
eyeing
on
from
behind
the
windows.
Fast
forward
two
months,
I
finally
got
around
to
order
the
protein
chickpea
curry
with
paneer
and
the
exotic
tropical
cake
through
Uber
Eats.
First
off,
the
cake
looked
amazing,
they
did
a
great
job
assembling
and
decorating
it.
On
their
website
it
was
advertised
as
a
vegan
pistachio
cake,
unfortunately
it
did
not
have
the
faintest
taste
of
pistachio.
The
cake
was
moist
and
the
texture
was
inbetween
dense
and
fluffy,
unlike
a
superfluffy
genoise
sponge
cake.
I
was
not
impressed
by
the
cake
itself
because
of
the
lack
of
flavour
but
the
cream
layers
were
very
nice,
although
it
could've
used
more
cream
(but
then
again
to
me
there's
never
enough
cream
on
cake
:p).
The
cream
didn't
taste
much
like
coconut
but
the
texture
was
on
point,
light
and
creamy
like
non-vegan
whipped
cream.
The
fruit-flavored
jelly
in
the
layers
were
a
nice
sweet
and
tangy
addition
to
complete
the
overall
tasting
experience
of
the
cake
and
I
think
it
would
be
even
more
complementary
if
jam
instead
of
jelly
was
used,
for
a
softer
mouthfeel.
The
curry
was
nothing
short
of
flavorful
and
aromatic,
a
bit
sour
(from
the
tomatoes
I
reckon)
and
very
salty.
It
was
heavily
spiced
with
garam
masala
spices.
I
definitely
recommend
getting
paneer
with
it
(or
tofu
if
you're
vegan)
to
have
some
different
textures
to
chew
on.
I
couldn't
finish
it
all
of
it
so
I
put
it
in
the
fridge
and
the
next
day
it
tasted
even
better
:)
Had
a
wonderful
meal,
thank
you!
