Nice spot but overrated. We decided to give this place a try by looking at 5k reviews. We ordered few drinks, burger and a platter. Food was service both were ok. Nothing really wowed me here as per se. Its a major tourist trap.

Loved this spot right near the tram, where i enjoyed my drink and meal with new friends, had a smoke then went to Amsterdam central 👍 Very nice menu design and delicious pizza for sure. next time will try the born star martini

We were a group of three friends who wanted to get high. So we ordered some "Weedy Wonders Cupcakes". A pack of three costs 12€ so 4€ per person. In the ingredients are plant materials listed, thats probably the weed. Everyone ate one completely. They did start hitting after an hour. It felt like multiple rushing waves that come and go. But everytime the effect came back it got stronger and stronger. We ate them yesterday at 9pm, it started at 10pm and now it's 9am and we still feel a bit dizzy.

Nice place to chill for a while. But doorman making snide comments about the clothes some of our group were wearing - you exist because of customers money - respect your customers.

Have been to this bulldogs when visiting Amsterdam for the past 6 years, has gone downhill. Some Food&beverage staff were kind of rude this trip which killed the vibe. Eg I had asked if it’d be possible to get a plain toasted cheese sandwich (new menu has ham&cheese but not just cheese) as I’ve had this here in previous years, the waitress seemed irritated as if I had made some impossible request and told me it’s not on menu, I felt bad I’d asked ! Also takes forever to get the bill if you’re sat outside Some tables were reserved for hrs with nobody sitting at them the whole time Better service & prices at independent coffeeshops in the area but good for tourists just wanting to buy a space cake and leave

Great place, maybe don't expect great service if Akhtar is serving you. Other staff were attentive and prompt.

Brilliant vibe this place and a must visit while in Amsterdam. Yes, smoking is freely welcome, but no tobacco inside, please, as most smoking cafes in Amsterdam promote. Whether sitting inside or outside, this place just has a certain feel and confirmation that you're in Amsterdam. Make sure you check out the back wall promoting all celebrities that have visited the Bulldog. Pumping music, live bands adding to the cool atmosphere. You need to pay to use the toilet, but it is worth the donation once you see the style. Be careful, though, after a few beers and smoke as stairs are steep. Enjoy this Amsterdam classic! We visit every time we come to Amsterdam and are never disappointed. 5 stars as always from me.

Okay, clearly if you are headed into one of the bulldog locations you are looking for one thing and one thing only. The thing that Amsterdam is famous for :-) As a non-toker, I was pleased to find that they also have the absolute best hot chocolate I have ever had worldwide! I was able to sit at a table outside during the cool weather of November and enjoy it while meeting new friends from other countries. If you sit inside please remember what this cafe was founded on. There's no point in complaining about being mauled by an alligator if you jump into a swamp in Louisiana. Likewise, there's no point in complaining about the haze of marijuana that will permeate your brain for days when you walk into a Bulldogs. I truly enjoyed all of the historical items and stories that were sprinkled throughout the venue.

Nice Bar. They only have heineken from tap. It costs 7€ 0.5L. The long drinks starts from 11€ and the shoots from 4.5. They offer paper and the hash plant to smoke. The music is a bit too loud. There are no hangers for the coat. The music a bit drowsy. Specially for 17 pm.

Tourist trap. Avoid at all costs. Tried to add items onto our bill to run up the price. Beware of the Karen making you pay to use the toilet. Great way to scare away customers. Much better spots in AMS.

The location is excellent. However, the atmosphere is unpleasant. Profound noise in the place pertained to music and loud discussions. The place is rich of weed smell. It’s not family friendly at all. I didn’t feel comfortable and most importantly the price rate is outlandishly expensive.

Great seating, long wait for the food tho.. banging tunes! we ordered the sweet potato fries cuz theyre always great, this time we got happy mix with regular fries, a random bitterballen and some little onion shoes ! I reccomend the happy mix if your feeling shnacky ;)

Recently came here on a Hen doo. We all had a great time. The decor is fab and a great selection of food. The coffee shop next door is also decorated in a really cool way. The area is particularly nice at night with a great atmosphere. Wanted to say a personal thank you to Martin who was so patient and really nice to all of us :)

Pretty sure this place hates tourists. Ordered some 🍃 to sit outside and enjoy it with some friends. Didn't order any food or drinks so we got yelled at for sitting there when no one even told us the rules. Wish we didn't give them any business by buying some 🍃. Staff could be a little nicer. The 🍃 and staff were nicer and better at Greenhouse anyway! Bulldog may be "iconic and historical" but it's mid and not great at all. Save your time and money ◡̈

Good place at the Leidseplein area. It is good,surround it from a lot of restaurants.

For the cofeeshop "menu" expect to overpay:( It is a famous place but more of a tourist trap. Food and drinks as well. There are plenty of other better places especially the less popular ones.

Very average place, very crowded. There is nothing special about it. Nice place.

Very harsh behaviour from the waitress. They did not clean any pf the tables and they threat us of kicking out if we dont order some Food even if we asked for the table.

Good atmosphere, rubbish weed. DO NOT GET PRE ROLLS. They were all 98% cigarette even tho they claim it’s a 50/50 mix. The food was also stale and not good at all.

Just wanted to say this is the best run bar I have ever been in! The manager/owner who was regularly in the bar keeps a very well run bar to perfection. England bars need to take a note! Never have I seen tables cleared within seconds of guests leaving!! And I dont smoke but we went every day as felt welcome anyway!

The above all extraordinarily friendly Ladies were one of the reasons i went there twice and, I will definitely come back once in a while. Good coffee and very comfortable refurnished

I am surprised how great it is there. The stage for live music, great sound, fast service and it is an amazing place to go even if you don't smoke. Absolutely love it! Food freshly made and great selection.

What can I say ... best bar to spend days with friends in excellent company. Great service and super bartenders. Food 🔝. A joke from 10 and praise. Wholeheartedly recommended to anyone. A must if you are in Amsterdam

My first visit to a world famous place like "The Bulldog Palace" at the Amsterdam Leidseplein wasn't bad at all. Apart from the cannabis in a separate coffeeshop, the Bulldog is advertised as the living room of Amsterdam. Housed in a former police station The Bulldog Palace makes a very well organized impression with lots of Dutch celebs on the huge terrace. That is heaven! Come in and relax. This is the most popular coffee shop chain in Amsterdam. You can have a drink and something to smoke here. The staff is relaxed too and friendly.

Relaxed and layed back place to rest. You can eat outside with drinks (alcohol) too, which is a nice combo. A bit pricey but great location and vibe. Fun place!
