Usually I go to the one in De Pijp and staff is welcoming and friendly. In this one the 2 guys at the counter were very rude , someone asked a clarification about prices and they acted very aggressively instead of explaining. Zero customer service. Also in this store the falafel was incredibly spicy without adding any spicy sauce. Also they were touching cash and then food without washing their hands in between. Not good.

Falafel pita was fresh and very delicious. I agree with another comment that staff attitude can feel like the Soup Guy from Seinfeld which is why I lowered to 4 stars. If the review was solely based on food, it'd be a 5.

Worst service I’ve ever received in my life. They don’t know how to treat a customer, really rude people and they clearly have hygiene issues, touching everything without gloves

Pathetic service by the staff. The aged man at the counter is absolutely indifferent to the customers. The other staff is no good either. The guy at the counter wrongly took the order for garlic sauce instead of ketchup with fries and then threw attitude at us in return. The other staff didn't bother to care. Talking about the food - everything is vegan and it's amazing including the crispy crunchy falafel. But the service is something that wouldn't bring you back again.

Great for a quick and healthy bite in the heart of amsterdam. I always chose the falafel pita, which comes with 5 falafels and which one can refill for free twice at the counter with fresh vegetables, sauces and other toppings of your choice. Only complaint is that i find some of the toppings a bit too salty. The price is very affordable for amsterdam and its a great value for a lunch snack.

We've been enjoying Maoz's falafels as a snack ever since the first time we visited Amsterdam several decades ago. The place serves great falafels - I had mine in pita (with loads of extras_ and m wife had the salad. Both were very filling. .

This place does a mean falafel pita and I love the diy salad bar schtick. The fries were adequately salted and the vegan mayo delicious. Five stars.

i’m extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I am a huge fan of maoz but i’ve been to this location multiple times and all those times it has been a disgusting experience. the guy that served us has been the same all these times and it’s always the same problem. they touch everything with their hands (including our food in front of us) after touching cash and being on their phones. I’ve had enough of this disgusting service even though their food is really good.

Very bad customer service. The guy working there is pathetically rude and doesn't look hygienic, I hope the food is. Anyway, the food very tasty so that's why two stars (and it feels I'm being generous). But I'm sure there are nicer places in the neighborhood where the customer service is better (McDonald's?)

(Translated by Google) You used to have very good service here, now it seems like they have hired people from the ghetto of India. Kwa food they are just good everything is fresh but the employees are really amateurs. (Original) Vroeger had je hier hele goeie service, nu lijkt het net of ze mensen uit de ghetto van India hebben aangenomen. Kwa eten zijn ze gewoon goed alles is vers maar de medewerkers zijn echt amateurs.

Nothing against Maoz as a company, I like the food here, posting this especially for this outlet. I visited today night with my brother and felt quiet unwelcomed by the Staff in service. Extremely rude, charged me 2 Euros extra for regular Pita and also without any bills. I have been to many places all over Europe and beyond, no one ruthlessly denies Tap water. He Flatly denied tap water also. I am not sure if this is how all Staff behaves with Guests or was this person bit exception?

Fresh falafel bullets , hot and unlimited salads (fillings) and hummus. Make your own falafel style place. 100% vegan. Vegan mayonnaise and garlic sauces. Fresh salads. The staff is very warm and friendly and you’ll love the delicious falafel. Totally worth the money. You can choose the size of the falafel too.

Probably the best €7.50 I've spent of food in Europe so far. The salad bowl was a generous size, and with the falafel on top it really became a proper sized meal, great value too. Being self-service there are especially unlimited options as to what kind of meal you will create I'd eat here frequently if I lived locally. I am not too fond of the disposal bowl and fork while eating in.

Very affordable, vegan, middle eastern Falafel Bowl. Generous amount of vegetables, salads and sauces. Right next to the channel, the place offers a filling Lunch during your sightseeing day. You can enjoy your bowl next to the channel in a beautiful architectural scene.

I'm still sick now, 7 hours after "intoxicating" myself with a falafel salad and fries. Clearly this place has severe hygiene issues. 🤢 Used to be better than that.

Legitimately spectacular hot falafel, with delicious fresh pita, and excellent fries/curry sauce. Service/seating wasn’t amazing, but more than good enough. Had to have a second pita…wow.

The best place for us the vegan and Israelis guys! Great falafel with a good vibe, but there is no place to sit.

The place is absolutely a heaven for vegetarian. I mean not only the quality of their falafel is great but the quantity served is plenty enough to fill your stomach in £6. And if you order a regular meal that’s also a saviour for the day which includes fries and a drink too. The place is really close to Amsterdam Central station.

Avoid this place. The guy behind the counter is very rude and makes you feel horrible. I asked something about the meal deal and instead of helping me, he got mad and did not do a thing to help. I can imagine that this location has a lot of tourists so there are a lot of questions, but c’mon on man be professional of find another job. Never ever gonna visit this location again. However, the falafel is amazing, but please get it at the Maoz De Pijp location. The staff there is super friendly.

We specially went to this place for lunch for good falafel and were not disappointed. We loved falafel sandwiches with good spicy sauces (not tabasco sauce). There are so many types of sauces and vegetables. So you can make your sandwiches spicy or non spicy. prices are reasonable and you can add more vegetables and sauces again as needed. We are planning to go again before we leave this place.

Normally i love maoz but today the whole shop smelled like chemical moth balls. But the worst part was that my fries also smelled/tasted like them !!!! The fries were also half uncooked. I had to trough them away.... Hope they will fix this! Also i only have had this experience at this at the Muntplein location.

Desorganized and overprized. They forgot the drinks in my order and the "regular" Fries obviously means 14 (yes, I did in fact count them). That is a solid 20 Cents per frie, so you better enjoy every single one of them!

Really good and fresh late night feed. The place is clean, service is efficient and friendly, most importantly the falafel was tasty, as were the condiments that you could add to it. Would appreciate a better selection of beverages as well some more outdoor seating. A very pleasant experience.

Been already quite a few times, it's a Maoz so if you've been in another store you know the menu and the food quality will be pretty much the same: Which is great taste and affordable. This particualr location It's not the coziest to eat in, there are some stools but not that much space, better to get it and eat it near the canals if the weather is good. Staff is also not the friendliest. Wouldn't say rude, but not with many smiles or patience.

Nice little place where you can buy a falafel pitta and then fill it up with everything you love/. Think Subway but with falafels and you're behind the counter yourself. They even let us bring in some chips we purchased from outside, really nice of them.

absolutely EXCELLENT falafel with lots of condiment choices and great value for money. you can stuff your pita full of all the fresh vegetables, hummus and such you want. open late too! I am a happy returning customer. seating is somewhat limited but there is usually a spot free still as most people get takeout!

  • 4/5 A R. 2 years ago on Google
Was closed last week 26th Jan '22. Service is very "Soup guy" from Seinfeld. However, the falafel is good, its quick and fresh and salad bar and sauces are good enough. Dont buy drinks or fries, you are here for falafel.

  • 3/5 Eli Z. 2 years ago on Google
Ordered Salad Bowl with Falafel. You get a small bowl with Falafel and you can fill it with the vegetables you like. But the quality of the vegetables is really poor, and the chickpeas had no taste. The Falafel itself is tasty but you get only 4 in the bowl, so..

The short bearded man that works there is rude and disrespectful to customers. Noted that he did not use gloves despite handling the food, also touching his clothes and face. Completely unsanitary. The same man was also raising his voice at other customers as they found him difficult to understand. He needs to speak clearer instead of losing his temper at customers. The food is good it’s just a shame that this employee is what you have to deal with to get it

They mixed the olives with pit and i broke my teeth because of them. They reacted so rude just saying "green ones are without pit but black ones are with" What kind of explanation and excuse it is?? Why you're not saying openly or writing that there's PIT on the olives?? I don't recommend at all

Cheap, quick, tasty, in a city where vegan options can be a bit tricky to find. Plus all you can eat - which I totally didn’t realise! - so make the most and load up on those delicious fresh salads and pickles. For people who love pickles and Middle Eastern flavours.
