I stayed at this place and would say it offers great value for the price. Rooms - I was in a 4 bed dorm, and the room was quite good in my opinion. Lockers are available, though they might not accommodate suitcases, they're suitable for smaller bags. A few hangers are provided as well. Each bed has its own power outlet and a small light. It's worth noting that we are responsible for making our own beds, although the hostel provides the necessary linen, pillow cover, and mattress cover. Washroom, Shower, Sink - So all three of these are divided and are provided in the room space. The shower is pretty spacious, has temperature control as well. Do bring your own shampoo and body wash, as these aren't provided. There are two small shelves and three hooks for hanging your towel / clothes. The washroom is small but was clean and good. Locality - It’s actually located in a great place, just in front of the tram station, which is convenient for travellers. Yay! Staff - They were incredibly polite and I didn’t face any problems during my stay. However, there's one noticeable drawback - the Wi-Fi. Regrettably, the Wi-Fi here is quite slow. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend you to stay here :)

An average „we are hip“ hostel chain. The location is very convenient, though, right next to Den Haag HS and the prices are cheap. They also offer breakfast, which was okay, but unfortunately the dishes and trays were not entirely clean. The rooms offer the bare minimum. Might be worth it for a one-night stay, but I wouldn‘t stay longer than that.

I was there august 2019, for exactly 3 nights. I came early before the check in time. They offer a place where you can leave your luggages before and after the check in, which was very convenient. The walk from the main station to the hostel wasn’t far as well, heck the walk to the city center wasn’t as far as some here are saying (15 minutes). I love the breakfast it was simple yet fully fitting, for it was included in the room price and the water refill bottle station was very thoughtful for the environment. The rooms and hallways were clean. The people working there was very friendly. I took one star out because the shower and washroom needs maintain, it was clean but the shower was making everything wet except myself lol It was my first Hostel ever I normally stay at Hotels, I didn’t expected much but was positively surprised. People who expect luxury should be ready to spend the amount of money for there luxurious expectations, this is a HOSTEL not a hotel. Also I adored how the guest was a mix from students to a family group, it made the atmosphere very homely.

it was such a pleasant stay. very kind and helpful staff. my special requests were taken into consideration, communication in English was not a problem. a majority of visitors in this hostel appeared to be German young families and teenagers. the location is a (very pleasant) 15 minute walk away from the Central Station and there's a tram stop right outside, so it's really easy to find. not sure about the parking since i don't use cars, but i heard it's expensive everywhere in the Netherlands anyways.

Nice hostel. Very well located and a safe bike store for those cycling. Room itself was fine, nothing special, but this is a hostel, so you get what you pay for. Rooms could have a desk or shelves for some storage. Unfortunately it was just the lockers available. Power sockets were hard to come by. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a nice, clean and modern hostel. With a little more furniture in the rooms I’d give it 5 stars.

A lovely place in the heart of Hague. Loved every bit of the stay. Just a minute of walking distance from the central station. From there you can get direct trams to the beach and the central market as well. The reception was very informative and helpful. We availed the breakfast too which had variety of options to choose from. The look and feel of this hostel is really modern and they even have a deck by the canal where you can relax or have food!!

Someone walked into the hostel and our room with a saw. Reception clearly doesnt check for weapons. Dangerous environment, can not recommend staying here.

This hostel has mice that hide under the beds and the old furniture they have. The bathroom suffers from humidity and has mold stuck to the walls and there is littering all around. The toilet didn’t work and was in deplorable condition with traces of defecation. I reported this to the night receptionist and he answered in a rude and hostile manner. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSTEL TO ANYONE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSTEL.

Based on my one week experience here as a young traveller, I totally recommend this hostel ! I will be back some day for sure. About the rooms, I stayed at a 8 shared room and was lucky enough to share it with other girls who were really nice and kind. The rooms are big enough and they are clean, which I can not say about other hostels. The distance from the centre is minimum so the location is awesome as you can reach any place from the city centre by walk or by bike (you can rent it there). The breakfast buffet is really good and diverse. It is one of the things I liked the most, honestly. I have to say that I have stayed at hotels more expensive which were a lot worse about the buffet. So I think it is a really good point to think about. Th staff is really cheerful and always trying to help you in everything they can, which I am really thankful for as it was my first time here and I did not know much about the city. If you are thinking about staying here I totally recommend you to do it ! :)

We stayed in a 8 bed mixed dorm for 4 nights. The beds do not have curtains and the pillows are very weird. Make sure you put all the sheets on because I don't know how often they wash the duvets and pillows. We didn't see any of them get cleaned throughout our stay, and we also saw some people not use the sheets at all. The location is very close to tram lines that can take you anywhere and it's close to one of the train stations. Free luggage storage (separate from the lockers which are €2 for 24h) No cameras in the room itself but need to go to the front desk to get access. The dinner was good if you like what they're serving and cost between €9.50 for the main and €19.50 for the whole buffet. The breakfast is not worth €9.50, It's sandwiches, hardboiled eggs, yogurt and granola.

Affordable and generally worth what you pay for. Note: this is nearer to DH Hollandspoor than Centrum / 'middle of the centre', so can be good i.e. not as loud at night, making the 10-15min walk to the hostel from Centrum worth it. Spacious common area/restaurant/lobby and generally clean rooms. 4-in-a-room is the best number for a bunk-room in a hostel, so this option was good.

Staff was friendly, no problems, everything clean. Breakfast was okay for the price, didn’t like the vegetables though. Location is a bit on the louder side but it’s cheap

Stayed here with students. The rooms were clean and a great place for students to stay. Breakfast and dinner was well served. The menu was suited to accommodate teenagers. They also have a pool table and places for kids to hang out in the lobby. Beautiful view of the canal as well. Would highly recommend this place.

[Update after a previous review] I stayed at this hostel for 4 nights - I booked an all-female 6 sleeping room of which there is a slightly higher price for compared to the mixed rooms* (*correct at the time of booking). On the second night I stayed there, a male was booked into our room and I did not feel comfortable leaving the room and drawing attention to myself but I felt unsafe and emailed reception. This was in the late hours of the night and some of the people in our room were already asleep. I got an email response back only in the morning stating night staff do not read and answer emails and that the issue would be resolved, encouraging me to come to reception for more info. I did and upon arrival received an apology and promise it wouldn't happen again but this staff member was lovely and don't blame her for what's to follow. That night, the third night, the same thing happened after I was promised it wouldn't happen again (like I said, I don't blame the employee who promised me). I went down to reception already dressed to go to bed and the man working at reception said "okay, I'll come with you to kick him out". You're not kicking out a guest, you're allocating him a new room after an error you* made. Why was I paying extra for a room that half the time I was there was not correct. I even ended up removing sheets on behalf of other guests who have checked out who couldn't bother to do so themselves even though it was communicated to them, and still on the last night someone checked into the room and there were old sheets on her assigned bed. She ended up sleeping in an unassigned bed with new sheets that she got from reception. Really not impressed, it was a massive shock compared to the amazing experience I had with the other StayOkay hostels I've stayed in. On a side note: Jennifer was lovely and helped me feel calm while I was a little bit afraid and freaking out, and remained understanding when I told her why. She gets 5 stars.

No eating/drinking allowed in the common/restaurant area (only if food bought at the hostel's restaurant). I find this policy absolutely unfair. When you buy food at the supermarket, where are you supposed to eat?! - However no empathy from staff. Wifi super slow. From this hostel you can expect nothing more than the absolute necessary.

Great place to stay in Den Haag for low budget. The employees are very handsome and help you with all your question. We had double room with own bathroom. There is a big public room with bar, billiard, an several seating locations. We would definitely recommend it.

Something went wrong with the automatic booking system, so we were short of 1 room (6 people). However, those responsible responded very appropriately and did their utmost to solve the problem and to compensate us. In my opinion, the rest of the staff could use some extra training because everything (both at the front desk and & at the bar) went very slowly... But everyone has to learn of course!

Pretty good location, near public transport. The room was fine, a downside was an extremely drunk traveler in the room who was smoking and hurling abuse at the rest of us in the room! Thankfully the guy at the desk was informed and did remove the man at around 1am, however there was no apology offered or nothing said of the incident the next morning. I can't get across how scary this fella was it was very uncomfortable being in the room with him probably not gonna stay in a hostel again lol

Service was excellent and there are a lot of facilities (bagage storage, bike rental) but NO KITCHEN. There's a restaurant for breakfast and dinner, but that's it.

Rooms were generally clean and tidy, although the lack of ventilation means that it can get hot, especially in the summer. Breakfast was alright but could do with more variety. Most of the staff are really pleasant and do their best for customers, even when problems come up; that said, I came across two staff members who were rude, disinterested and nasty- one staff member was aggressive and confrontational when asking me about me entering the hostel at night with my keycard. Another was particularly disinterested when it came to serving customers, treating them as burdensome. All in all an alright stay. Though I'd recommend for only a few days at most.

Lovely place to stay with very affordable prices! The staff was very friendly, accommodating and always helpful. The shared areas are very nicely decorated, IG worthy, with plenty of places to work on your laptop or to chill. Everything is very clean and taken care of, I had a very good experience during my stay there. Their balcony is also very nice with a great view of the canals and boats. Is located quite close to the city center where all restaurants and supermarkets are which is also quite convenient. They offer lockers and bikes for rent, they are flexible with the check-in time, definitely recommending them! My only suggestion is that they should include more veggies and vegetarian options in their breakfast/ dinner.

The food was disgusting! Not even seasoned, we were told that there was an all you can eat buffet but then came this disgusting canteen food thanks for that :) apart from that I felt like in a 5 star prison <3

Benauwd droge erg warme lucht, niet toegankelijk voor mensen met een handicap, zeer matig ontbijt voornamelijk erg weinig keus, geen verse broodjes.

Super fun place! Very clean and modern. The bunks were equipped with a light and outlet for each, which was nice. Lots of space in the rooms, too. The only annoying thing was that the bathrooms in the room didn’t have any form of towel- even to wash your hands. I think paper towels or even a hand dryer would be nice. I get that they want people to rent towels for use in the showers, but to completely deprive the sink of them too was a bit ridiculous. Other than that, a lively spot in a great location!

Great hostel with good hygiene, friendly staff and the location is overall very close to everything in The Hague. However, there was no air conditioning, hairdryer or small fridge in the private rooms. That’s a loss.

Very clean environment, strategic location (a few minutes’ walk from the train station and the city center, a Tram just next to the hostel building. My room was also clean (I could walk around without shoes), the toilets and bathroom were also clean, Well lit rooms with lockers, polite and courteous staff at the reception (night and day), good and solid beds (I specifically liked the inner light and personal socket for charging my phone which I could use without disturbing others), Perfect match of roommates (4 boys coming from Amsterdam for a night party in Den Haag and leave in the morning, just like me. We met in the evening, talked and cracked jokes then went to the parties and only saw again in the morning). Easy checkout. The overall value for the money was more than expected.

This feels like the kind of place rich kids go for the "backpacking experience." If you're trying to travel on a budget, maybe find someplace that doesn't enforce a ban on outside food. But if you do stay here, try an upper-floor room; street noise and hallway noise are both problems. Oh, and lockers are extra and bulky luggage can't be secured. Couple more things I forgot: towel rental is 2.50. And the water pressure is fantastic.

I had a really nice stay in Den Haag at Stayokay Hostel. Breakfast, facilities, personnel, all of those items were really good despite a small detail: my reservation was at a 4-male bedroom and instead I was assigned to a 6-mixed bedroom, which was OK for me.

Bathrooms were untiy even if its private room unhygenic pathetic .waste of money i paid 84 euros for 1 person private room .it was better in go in some good hotel price from 100 to 110 euros

The breakfast at this hostel was tasty, a good amount of options as well. The rooms were a bit cramped, but I could still sleep decently well in the 4-person room. During my stay, my laptop was stolen. I will acknowledge that this was my fault, having left it out in the open, but I'm not happy with how this hostel did nothing to help or cheer me up. This was my first time trying out a hostel, but it won't be this one again, that's for certain.

Centralized location with accessibility of all public transport modes, most of the tourist destinations easily accessible, nearby food joints, reception area great ambience & secured accessibility providing necessary safety! Foods are required to be booked in advance, sometimes gets skipped if not planned during booking for first day.
