Tonight
there
was
a
technique
training
with
Andre,
which
I
showed
up
for
as
usual.
I
fought
a
bigger
guy
and
noticed
right
from
the
start
that
he
was
pushing
me
way
too
hard.
I
stopped
the
sparring
and
asked
him
to
punch
less
hard,
after
which
we
continued
sparring.
He
didn't
change
his
strength
and
continued
to
spar
as
if
it
was
his
last
chance.
There
was
a
moment
at
the
end
of
the
round
when
he
hit
me
really
hard
on
my
body,
I
felt
his
aggression
in
that
shot.
I
got
a
little
angry,
stopped
sparring
and
took
off
my
gloves.
Andre
saw
that
and
asked
us
what
happened,
and
my
sparring
partner
told
him
that
I
hit
him
with
the
spinning
elbow.
I
was
a
bit
shocked
because
I
don't
use
those
kinds
of
techniques,
especially
in
sparring,
and
told
Andre
that
there
was
no
elbow.
Andre
started
yelling
something
like
"WHAT
WAS
THEN?"
to
which
I
calmly
said
that
I
had
used
a
backfist
once,
maybe
that
was
what
my
sparring
partner
meant.
Andre
clearly
didn't
want
to
listen
to
my
side
of
the
story
and
said
something
like
"we
don't
fight
hard
here
and
if
you
don't
agree
with
that,
find
another
gym".
I
was
like...what?
In
the
end
the
guy
I
had
laughed
at,
maybe
because
Andre
believed
his
bullshit
story
about
twisting
elbows
and
I
looked
guilty.
This
whole
situation
frustrated
me
so
much
because
A)
I
got
hurt,
B)
my
sparring
partner
used
his
spinning
elbow
story
to
justify
why
he
hit
me
hard,
and
Andre
believed
him,
C)
I
was
left
guilt-ridden
with
the
advice
to
try
another
gym.
to
search.
No
problem,
I'll
do
it.
I
have
always
respected
Andre
as
a
coach
and
listened
to
his
advice,
but
that
is
just
too
much
injustice
for
me
for
one
evening.
P.S
Most
of
the
people
you
meet
at
the
gym
are
really
nice,
there
isn't
a
single
bad
attitude
among
the
team
and
they
are
good
sparring
partners.
Two
stars
because
there
is
also
a
great
coach
Youssef,
but
unfortunately
he
only
teaches
on
Sundays.
