Avoid this place if you don’t like to be treated like $hit. The tall guy wearing glasses needs some costumer service training. It was very unpleasant to be approached by him and his rude behaviour. I don’t know his name but his bossy behaviour isn’t acceptable and I was totally in the mood to stay at this coffee shop. Had to leave after buying what I went for, unfortunately. It’s a shame since the place itself it’s cozy and welcoming. Tourists avoid this place because they will treat you in a very rude way.

great atmosphere, tasty coffee, friendly staff and good weed! we kept coming back and didn’t even try to look for another coffee shop :-D the prices are great for what you get - the edibles especially, that were tasty and strong. very chill vibes, they don’t sell alcohol so it’s just weed, great music (reggae, dub and funk) and people chatting. they provide free rolling papers and let you borrow grinders. great place for introverts looking for a place to smoke and have a coffee or hot chocolate! (the photo was taken right as they were closing but it’s usually very lively, but not overwhelming) another thing is if you look young, remember to bring your physical id because the staff are told to be strict letting guests in!

Stayed in Amsterdam 4 days and went to The Rookies every day, best coffee shop in the city! Not too far from the city centre, great atmosphere and incredible staff, great variety of things to smoke and drink, if I'm ever in Amsterdam again, I will definitely be there again! 💜

Been visiting Amsterdam for a couples of days with my friends, and we found this Coffee Shop. Each day we came back here to chill. High quality weed, soft drinks and also sweets you can find there. Welcoming atmosphere and great playlist 🙂

I am 22 years old, I look my age. when I came with my boyfriend to this establishment, we paid for the drinks, drank them safely (tea and coffee), after 40 minutes the waiter came up who took our order and began to demand my passport. I showed it to him electronically. he asked physically. is this normal at all?!? 40 minutes after we ordered and drank our coffee we were asked to leave the cafe because I didn't have my passport physically with me. I don't recommend this establishment, terrible customer service and attitude.

The first to walk in and the last to walk out :) Great place. Good vibes. Very clean and fresh. Nice music playlist, rich selection of warm drinks (ginger tea, hot chocolate, chai latter etc… ) Highly recommended

Landed last night at 9:30, was in my hotel by 11 and in this coffee shop rolling one by 11:30… this was my first ever coffeeshop experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The smoke was good, price was decent. I’m definitely going to return!!!

A very chill atmosphere to enjoy a joint and a cup of espresso, brewed perfectly not bitter at all. Leo was very friendly and helpful. Needless to say I will be heading back very soon.

Good material and nice prices. You will find here everything you look for. Nice place to chill. You can sit here and smoke as long as you buy drinks or material. Other Shops often insist on both. Friendly staff but drinks could be quicker. Top shop we will come back.

Always feel at home In the Rookies! They are dog friendly too as far as I know! The owners dog hangs out there and other locals call in with dogs too

The worst waitress ever. I just wanted a receipt when he suddenly started to get angry. I stayed calm and be friendly but I didn’t know what his problem was. He also didn’t give our drinks to the person itself. He just puts it at the corner of the table. I thinks that’s really rude and I didn’t expected bad service like that.

Friendly staff, good drinks and a nice assortment of buds for you to enjoy. We were NEVER hassled to order more drinks every 5 minutes like in some other shops. Will definitely visit again and I cannot recommend it enough.

We enjoyed our first coffee shop, Rookies, more than the following two. Staff were helpful and supportive in that we were brand new to the country. Best part is a complete ban on tobacco smoking indoors. They offer you free hemp leaf alternative to roll with on the tables.

Both Leo and Micky were awesome, fantastic coffee and service. I'd absolutely go back again.

You can spend nearly €200 on weed here but don’t expect to sit down and enjoy it at rookies unless you’re also going to buy 2 beverages. Not thirsty? Then according to the manager, you’re not welcome here and get out. You’re better off spending your money where your business is appreciated.

Another coffeshop we a had a great time smoking! If you are a dog person is even better, there is a sweet german shepard chilling with you as well 😍

I don't smoke, or use Cannabis however we visited on a recent trip to Amsterdam for my wife to purchase. She's not a regular cannabis smoker, and told the woman serving that this was her second time smoking. She asked for something very light. The person, we feel gave her something extremely strong as when she smoked the joint that she was given, she completely passed out. She said that it was one of the strongest things she has ever had and had no control over her body while smoking what they gave her. On the upside, the coffeeshop is clean and seemed really popular. I've heard the actual coffee is great, but I didn't get to try.

We were treated very poorly, left without smoking because the waiter constantly stared at us, laughing, and insulted us when we ordered the herbs and drinks. Don't go there; it's the place where I've been treated worst in my life. They also made racist and homophobic comments.

Chill af and stylish yet comfortable lounge. Also top cannabis products. Definitely on my list of must-visits for a return trip

If you're going to Amsterdam, and coffee shops are on your bucket list, you HAVE to go to this one. It's got a great energy and really wonderful atmosphere. I went to end my night pretty much every day I was there. That's how good it was! Genuinely felt like a neighborhood joint (lol), if I lived there I'd probably go every day. The fresh OJ is bangin' and so is the bud. 🔥

The first Coffeeshop I visited in my first to trip in Amsterdam and my favourite ever since. There you can find an informal place where you can enjoy fine weed, soft drinks and some food. Don't miss it!

Some reviews say touristy, it's Amsterdam! I chatted to someone from Brasil, 2 girls from Italy and the whole place is amazing!! Top weed, really nice hash, not overpriced drinks and no hassles. The staff are mega friendly too! Highly recomemded (I'm there now)

Amazing coffeeshop: ample space (which is a rare thing in Amsterdam), warm and inviting seats, and fantastic service. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and they do table service for the drinks! They use hemp instead of tobacco on their products 👌
