Docked a star because the food isn’t as good as it used to be. There’s been a change of chefs and though the food is delicious, the portions are ridiculous. You’ll feed your mouth but not your belly. The menu is seasonal and constantly changes, but so far, all the food portions are like tapas and not regular meals. The service is great. The layout is great. The coffee is also great. However, the cinnamon rolls aren’t consistent - some days you’ll get the most sticky cinnamoney dream, some days you’ll get bread with hints of cinnamon. Asked for it warmed up to bring out a wee bit more cinnamoness.

Another fabulous restaurant in Amsterdam. This is a modern contemporary restaurant based in a large open restaurant. It is perfect for quiet dining.

Very trendy, relaxing restaurant with a great vibe. The food was great although the menu limited and no gluten free options. My husband had the burger and loved it. The salad and potatoes were very well made and super tasty. Well worth the ferry over for a visit

I must say one of the friendliest places I’ve been to in a while. Patient, kind, and chill. Menu isn’t huge, but that makes it really clear and there is something for anybody. Makes sure you get a couple dishes, since they aren’t huge, but super shareable. Would like to thank our servers and the chefs. Well done and will be back!

This stop was nothing short of phenomenal! We were told of this place by a previous traveler and her review. I could not come within 100 miles of here and not make my way. The food, fresh.. the wine and juice is atypical and brilliant. You must go and try homemade rolls, chicken sandwich and cod filet (see photos). With this, the vibe .. the ambiance was modern and authentic hip; aesthetically pleasing with a clean Scandinavian design The staff, personable, well mannered and clean!

Amazing coffee (cappuccino), really outstanding. Plus the place is amazing, great, clean, minimalistic design. The food looked amazing, sadly we couldn’t try it that day, but we’ll be back to do so! Recommended.

We are a regular since they 1st opened. We like the sharing concept, creativity with a fusion of Asia spices - ALWAYS delicious. You have the try the bread to clean the plates ( 😋). Relatively small but interesting selection of Bio wines , and good friendly service . We have never been disappointed

Spacious but cozy place with Brooklyn’s Williamsburg vibe (the whole neighborhood looks like Williamsburg’s little cousin). Great coffee (choice of beans and roast, fancy competition coffees, they even make their own oat milk), excellent gravlax and freshly baked goodies (seriously, try their macadamia nut cookie. you don’t even need to be stoned but, of course, it won’t hurt).

Amazing coffee! Loved coming here for the coffee and the decor is so cool + minimalist and contemporary. Tried to order the fried chicken sandwich, but they were out of bread by lunch. I think this is not cool - if this is your most popular dish make sure to have enough bread (whether you make it in house or not, it does not matter) . I was told to wait 2-3 hours for them to bake the bread.

Amazing place! Very good food with a twist, nice specialty coffee and nice ambiance. Ideal place for lunch, dinner or even for work with a laptop. We had the chicken burger which was delicious.

Food was amazing, really every dish was delicious. The flavours and techniques were very special, and for Amsterdam standards, reasonably priced. The waiter was also friendly and helpful. I would like to share my negative for improvement: I was surprised that the only non alcoholic drinks they offer are coffees and juices (clearly from the breakfast menu). I would expect such a forward looking and modern place to offer at least a few non alcoholic options that would suit for dinner. This was quite disappointing, but I hope the feedback is taken and I am surprised in my next visit.

Had an oyster mushroom sando sandwich and cinnamon roll. The sando was nice the first 3 bites. Then it just became too greasy and sweet to finish. It seemed like the mushrooms were coated in tapioca and then flour. Cinnamon roll wasn’t sweet enough, lacked flavour and the filling didn’t taste good. Ambiance and service is great

Most delicious meal in amsterdam. Would 110% recommend. Flatbreads were phenomenal, as were the gambas with green chilli and asparagus with cured egg yolk. Service was great.

Food was just delicious, service superb and I’d say price/quality ratio is very good as well! Wanted to come to public space for a long time and it didn’t disappoint at all! Efharisto to our amazing waitress!

Great space, welcoming people and fantastic food. The cinnamon/cardamon bunns are a must. From the savoury dishes we did not try that was not good but the kale flatbread was my absolute favourite.

A total unassuming gem. We visited Public Space while they had their July ‘22 menu. We had jerk chicken, courgettes, milk bread, fried plantains, kimchi eggs and spring peas. The food was all perfectly flavoured with wonderful flavour combinations all around. The courgettes with chickpea hummus was especially unassuming yet delicious. The kimchi mayo eggs were the least amusing of the bunch - just simple eggs. We also ordered a cocktail which was awesome! The staff here are really friendly and helpful. Totally recommend especially if you’re visiting the museums in the area.

Excellent coffee and delicious food made with care and presented beautifully. Gluten-free food options, including Basque cheesecake. Lovely space to chill in. Kind and friendly staff. Not much more you could want! Resident dogs were a bonus.

I love working here and have their fantastic food. What amazed me the most next to the great coffee, is the lunch. This is some next level stuff. The presentation, fresh ingredients and taste is insanely good. The chef is humble and very kind. Always a great pleasure to be there. The interior is done in an inspirational minimalistic urban style.

The interior design of this place is just so aesthetically pleasing! Great place to have a meeting or to got some work done on your own! I have tried the (fancy) flat white, which surely was a bit higher in price, but tasted so smooth. We also got an explanation by the waiter on what makes the coffee so special! Definitely recommend!

Great vibe, great service and great coffee! Great to get away from the touristy spots. Great little coffee house. The menu is exciting, they offer a few breakfast and lunch options The service is really good. Also great healthy juices and meal options, and tasty pastries to cover from the full sugar to vegan needs. Check out the art work on my latte in the photo below. You get there by ferry. Thanks!!!

Fantastic cafe/restaurant. The service is fast and friendly. Lovely minimalist interior. Warm vibes throughout the entire space. The coffee and food is 10/10. I especially like that the menu is short and simple. I will be back.

Delicious! Flatbread was amazing. About the sharing concept I would say: share with 2 people, because the dishes are small. Amazing service, beautiful setting.

Amazing place for lunch, coffee was delicious & the guys were super friendly and kind. Both the steak and the pulled pork sandwiches were amazing. Can't wait to come back, next time hopefully in time for their pastries.

I will start by saying that the restaurant itself is beautiful. We got here on a Thursday evening around 6:15pm and there was only one table taken. By the end of our dinner there were a few more tables taken but they are very large and spaced out so that I doubt you'll feel claustrophobic even when busy. The service was great; the 2 servers were nice and knowledgeable. The wine was delicious, they have a nice selection of reds and whites. They also have beers and soft drinks. The food was a bit disappointing, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars after much thinking. We shared 4 plates among 3 people. The portions were very small. The flatbreads were good and so was the pumpkin (it was literally 2 tiny slices though); the lamb sausage was disappointing. We paid over $100 for 4 small dishes and a bottle of wine. I see this more for a date night with no budget. It might be a great night for couples. Honestly, I don't mind paying but the quality/quantity of the plates was not worth the price in this case. Great location though!

Worth the (free) ferry ride from Zuid over to this place. Great space, very stylishly done and really lovely staff. And the coffee is really amazing - best flat white I had in Amsterdam, so creamy and rich! Highly recommended.

What a treat! We had one of everything on the menu. And two of our favorites. Both vegetarians and meat-eaters were delighted with the fare. We savored every bite - great combination of loved an surprising ingredients and flavors. It was magical. Highly recommend!

Such lovely staff! Absolutely love the concrete space combined with vintage furniture. Dishes are very refined, love how different it is from the usual. Will def come back very soon.

A wonderful coffee shop with amazing interior design. Every seat in Public Space is a great seat because there is so much to look at while enjoying your coffee and small food items. I visited Public Space twice during my time in Amsterdam because it was so great. Each time I had a cappuccino that was expertly crafted. The first time I tried the “fancy” version and compared it to the “regular” version, and honestly my palette isn’t refined enough to notice the difference, but I’m sure coffee snobs would appreciate the fancy version. For me, the regular version was great!
