Small cozy museum of pianolas. I am so glad I managed to visit as they are only open from Fri to Sun, and I was mostly busy. Immediately upon entry, there’s guidance every step of the way, from buying ticket, to the mini tour. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour around the room where the gentleman explained the history and played a few pieces. He even let me try one of the earlier pianolas! Highly recommended for all music lovers.

A treasure trove of cool stuff, this museum contains a handful of pianolas, hundreds of rolls, and an enthusiastic staff who will demonstrate it all to you. I was told they even have another hundred pianolas and thousands more manuscripts in storage! The collection also included gramophones, and organ, and pianofortés. Well worth the time to visit this unique and fascinating museum!

My musician friends and I stepped into the experience that this museum is. Music, engineering, and history, delivered in the most lovely way by the free included tourguide. My favourite museum in Amsterdam.

Very nice guide, who started a tour of the museum even though I was the only guest at the time. He demonstrated the different pianolas with well chosen pieces, and you have a chance to "play" one yourself. The whole museum is basically one room with 7-8 pianolas, hundreds of piano rolls, as well as a small hallway with an exhibition, all decorated in the style of the early 1900's, which really adds to the atmosphere.

So glad we went for this, this was the most fun thing we did during the weekend! This museum deserves alot more attention - you get a guided tour and a feets-on experience trying the exquisite pianolas. Plus other interesting trivias about other instruments. They also hold concerts on one evenings so locals should definitely check it out!

Very nice little museum where they really take the time to explain and let you hear the different pianola's on display. Friendly and welcoming staff. It is a little gem , hidden away but definitely worth every penny.

Amazing, unique place with tons of character and dedicated people. Very atmospheric concerts, also from well known artists. Shameful but they're not even recognised as a museum.

Pianola Museum is a very cute little museum, it is also a very nice music venue. The concerts vary in genre from Dutch folklore to pure classical music. I've attended a few concerts and have never been disappointed. The people who run the museum are very friendly. It's always pleasure to go back!

Wonderful little museum housed in an old police station. The tour guide was excellent, with informative demonstrations and opportunities to try various instruments yourself. 9 euro was for nothing for the experience.

Great, fantastic museum. You can learn and feel the automatic piano history from the late 19th to early 20th century. Receptionist invite us politely, and intelligent man introduce us the exhibits. In addition, you would able to try some instruments. It's just 9 euro, I can't believe it...

OUTSTANDING museum. I didn't even know what a pianola was before entering but it was a very interesting visit. The gentleman (who clearly loves music and pianolas) guided us through it and taught us everything about pianolas, played them, and even let us try playing for a bit. It's definitely recommended and they can use any help to keep their small museum afloat!!

Brilliant little museum with a welcoming and knowledgeable guide. We could have stayed all day watching the pianolas and learning about their history. If you like music, history, or machines you will be fascinated.

Hidden between the maze-like streets of the Jordaan, this museum offers a pleasant surprise to those who decide to step inside. We had the privilege to be introduced into the marvellous world of pianolas and even got to play some songs on them with the help of our lovely guide. 5/5
