This place is small but packed with interesting displays and content. Try to explore all the corners and discover fun facts with historical artifacts. The display of vintage photographs is particularly interesting. They also have several interactive displays that played films, audio clips, and even light shows. Be sure to walk through it in the recommended route, because it is easy to miss entire section of displays.

It was fun, definitely some interesting stuff. It's quick and easy only about 30-45min. We got there early when it opened. It started to get very busy when we were heading out. You'll get a good laugh from it. 10 Euro each entrance fee

The tickets are €9 each and I think it’s very good value for the number of the works displayed. It gets very busy on the weekends and because the space is very crammed it’s a bit hard to move around.

i loved it!! it was very funny, entertaining and exciting. But guys... dont go with awkward friends or with your family. it has to be people who can handle the sight of exposed body parts.

This was a unique experience. From the status, to the old clothing and even photos from the 1800's I was fascinated with all the trinkets and paintings. You get to view sex and topics not as a taboo topic but as a history lesson. I would definitely go back and would 100% recommend this museum.

I think this is a good place for a quick visit. There are definitely far better activities and places to visit in Amsterdam but given the price, it’s a nice place to check out and get a feeling of sex history from all around the world. It’s fascinating how far we’ve come.

Disappointing. Came here with a few friends from college while visiting the city. Was expecting a lot more in the museum to be honest. Was funny and entertaining but we got through it in about 10-15 minutes, including time to stop and take pictures (not all attached). Not worth the €9 each we paid. It was a laugh, but a very short one.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Booked online and less than 10 hours later received a positive covid test, emailed straight away and asked to change to just 1 week later. Days go by and I hear nothing, so I call up and I’m told to email again. A further 3 days go by and I’ve still heard nothing, so I call again. I am told the owner will email me. Still nothing. I call again and receive a rude response that states they cannot suffer any financial losses and will not do anything. This isn’t a financial loss, because I’m not there, this should be so straight forward, like every other attraction in Amsterdam (who have been more than happy to change our bookings and have been super lovely!). I get email responses from the ‘owner’ asking me not to harass them and calling me a ‘Karen’!!!! Honestly, I should’ve read the reviews on here before booking. It looks terrible anyway, but you give the benefit of the doubt of it being a laugh. Poor customer service on top just makes this place absolute laughing stock. Go literally anywhere else in Amsterdam but here as they have the manners of a toddler.

Well... Only if you don't have a better thing to do. Hopefully it's not that expensive. A few pictures to see. May be the interesting thing is to discover the tools and positions utilised almost a century ago that are still in the air 😊

This is an interesting museum to hit up if you’re in the area and try to kill an hour. There’s a lot in here, much which can’t be posted for obvious reasons. Definitely don’t go if you’re easily offended by sexy stuff. There wasn’t a line when we went, but it was still fairly packed on the inside.

Mwa....not really very special. But, entrance was only 10 euros, so quite a nice distraction when it rains to walk around for an hour.

  • 3/5 A W. 2 years ago on Google
Bang average, didn’t live up to its reputation. It was funny/enjoyable for a bit with a few friends but I don’t think €9 is value for money. Wouldn’t say it’s actually a must do if you’re in Amsterdam, would say it’s actually quite disappointing if anything

Very funny and interesting Museum. The entry fees are 10€ but you get what you pay. On several floors are exhibited paintings, statues, dolls, and many more exhibitioned. The dating goes from early years as the 13. Century till todays century. I highly recommend to see this museum during a visit at Amsterdam.

Visiting this museum while waiting for a boat ride, very interesting, but not many valuable sex artifacts, many pictures, simple decorations ... the ticket price is not expensive, also should try because it does not take much time.

The guy at the ticket station was extremely rude. I paid with my credit card, the transaction was approved from their matching and the guy tried to scammed us. ATTENTION TOURISTS don’t go there. Plus the museum is not worth the price

I think €10 per person is reasonable. Some funny stuff there, interesting stuff too. But you can get through it in just over half an hour. If you take a few pictures here and there for a little longer, of course. You can do it.

  • 4/5 Clare T. 1 year ago on Google
Was a walk through building. No specific way to walk around, left to own decision. Through the ages. Some interactive an mechanical displays, lots of fun. Generally no what i expected, but only €9 entry each for us. Worth a visit then walk over the road and go on a cruise.

I bought the tickets kinda as a joke with my friends but was actually surprised by how much I learnt from the museum. I learnt about how sex was like through out history and about sexualities and much more. I would very much recommend.

So many stories and pleasure in this museum. It shows the history of sex through out the Time . Old Photos, Statues and more are available to see and be happy after looking at . A visit no one would regret..

A quirky museum about sex through the ages. Start at the top and work you way down. Some.of the images are quite graphic so don't come here if you have any phobia to other types of sexual orientation.

Pretty good fun for €9 per adult. A few chuckles to be had with friends or a partner! Probably not for the more conservative types...you've been warned!

Visited on a Thursday, there was no queue outside or inside. Takes however long you'd like, plenty to see and read about. One of the least expensive museums on the stretch, it seems ok to not book in advance here 👌 Would definitely recommend

Last visited 21 years ago. There seemed to be more historical 'sex toys' & contraptions last visit. However, you can't visit Amsterdam without a visit to this museum. It's good fun & eye opening! Take a light hearted approach & have some fun. We went on a Saturday afternoon & didn't queue. It was quite busy but not too busy. 10 euros is reasonable. Takes about 1-1.5 hours to visit. Some very unusual exhibits & some very informative whilst still retaining that tongue in cheek humour.

  • 4/5 Eve O. 1 year ago on Google
Such a cool place for a quick visit, and only €9! I was surprised at how many artefacts, and vintage photos this place had, as well as tons of interactive displays. It’s a pretty small museum, so ideal to just pass some time, and definitely worth the money

  • 3/5 Roanita G R. 2 years ago on Google
It was interesting but the price €9 isn't fair I think so...

Definitely a fun one to go to on your trip to Amsterdam. Fairly cheap and this is because the cinema itself is not that large, and doesn’t take long to go through. It’s a good laugh if your humour is inclined that way, and surprisingly informative.

Musem was better and bigger than I've expected from average rating. Worth a visit.

  • 4/5 binu v. 2 years ago on Google
Iconic Fun place to visit. Not very mobility inspired friendly due to steep spiral stairways and narrow paths. Some of the vintage collections are interesting if you are a history buff. Bit expensive for a short spell experience. A must do if you are in Amsterdam.

Have to go there with open mind.

  • 4/5 Kirsten C. 10 months ago on Google
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect but had a great time here with my sister and cousin. Fun, informative, campy, in your face, great way to pass an hour or two and genuinely interesting history. Only flag - it was VERY hot temperature wise so maybe best going on a cooler day.

  • 4/5 Rebecca I. 11 months ago on Google
Very good, quite entertaining would recommend if you're visiting the country, not as big as I thought it would be though but still really good. Your tickets are also valid for 3 months once purchased they don't even give you an entry time/slot like the other museums I think they are alot more relaxed.

Was a class run around in this place had a good giggle with the mrs

  • 5/5 Lauren F. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience! Very interesting and entertaining. Several levels of the building to explore with different exhibitions. Worth the entry price in my opinion! (Certainly not a 10-15 min experience only as has been suggested in one of the reviews - I imagine they did not realise it is a multilevel museum.)

  • 3/5 Lewis G. 1 year ago on Google
9 Euro to get in and it's a fair price but often very busy so it is a bit of a task to move around and see everything. I still recommend going as it is a laugh and semi educational.

  • 5/5 Kristina L. 11 months ago on Google
A fun and interesting museum that teaches guests about the sexual history of the human species. The stair gallery had some beautiful artworks, which was my favorite part, but there was lots more to the exhibit worth seeing! We did not buy tickets in advance and walked right on in, but there was a line when we exited, so I suggest buying tickets in advance just in case.

  • 3/5 Kamran H. 1 year ago on Google
We have visited on Mondey, we got the ticket at the place, the staff was not really friendly but the place was nice, but the ticket was expensive (9 Euro) for less than 45 minutes tour.

  • 5/5 Megan S. 2 years ago on Google
Fun to visit while in Amsterdam. We didn’t book ahead and just paid at the door. Inside is small but spreads over a few floors. There is a variety of things to see, most of which are quite entertaining.
