Touching monument for 140 men executed during second world war by the occupier. Many of them were members of the resistance. I wasn't aware of the existence of the monument and came past it at a suiting moment, a couple of days after the yearly remembrance of the fallen, so there was a rose on each chair.

Small corner in the Amstel Park to memorialize the dutch men executed for fighting in the resistance. At first glance you'll just notice it and wonder what it's for....then you read the plaque and it kicks in. Peaceful place you can sit and talk to strangers, at the exact place people were murdered at in cold blood.....for the peace and quiet you now are able to get with a stroll in the park.....quite meaningful...

Lovely monument but a bit far out, if you are already at the park it’s worth checking out.

Decent monument to WW2 losses...

If you are in the neighborhood you should definitely visit this monument. Heartbreaking.
