Hidden gem of Amsterdam. The garden has a big collection of amazing unique plants. People working here are so friendly. You can easily have a chat about the plants and get some gardening tips. It’s such a great addition to the visit. The best part are benches hidden all over the garden, so you can find a lovely spot to read a book or just enjoy the nature surrounding you. The green houses are also very interesting and make you feel like you’re at some exotic place. There is a small shop where you can buy some plants, postcards, plant accessories (pots). It’s also possible to buy some beverages and snacks. The sitting area in front is very lovely. You can park your car on the street close by (paid), the limit is 2 hours.

What an incredible experience! Lots of rare plants and environments plus a bounty of butterflies 🦋 Such a lovely place, so zen and relaxing, away from the bustling city noise.

Small but very rich botanical garden, situated just on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Free admission but you are free to donate. Their collection of Hortensia an agapanthus are quiet interesting, as well as their cactus collection and the tropical glass houses with amongst others a fine collection of orchids.

Unbelievably relaxing and beautiful place on canal next to the medical center to visit free. Lovely gift shop with plants and other items for purchase.

Should update their website or Google maps about the opening days/hours accordingly. Coming all the way here and learning that the garden is closed is unacceptable.

Take a tram to the Medical Centre and then a short walk. This is a well organised botanical garden with many lovely plants inside and outside. Many have been propagated and are available for the visitors to purchase. For those with green fingers there are species just waiting to be discovered. For those that like to sit and relax in the garden, there are many seats to help you unwind and watch the world go by. It must be a real lifeline for the visitors and patients of the hospital next door.

Well worth visiting this garden has a wide variety of plants. I was amazed also by the huge collection of succulents in the greenhouses. I understand that they have the largest collection in Europe. There were lots of lovely places to sit in the gardens. Also a little cafe with plants for sale and other useful gardening items. I will certainly visit again. Highly recommended!

It has been almost three month since I visited there. The garsen seems pretty unique in its type. Really recommended for a break. Don't forget to sit on those chair and have discussion on any topic.

Best place to be in if you want to spend some time in the greenery and with birds, bees and butterflies. It felt like escaping the city bustle when I just walked a few steps into the garden. Will definitely recommend going there.

Very cute botanical garden. Has a variety of specimen from many parts of the world. Have a big collection of bonsais as well as cacti (biggest one in NL for the latter apparently). Also has places to sit throughout the garden and a little shop where you can buy plants. Great place if you're into plants or simply want a place to take a break and relax and all without entrance fee.

I tried to go here on Saturday, May 13 with a group of friends. But, at 14:00 when I arrived it was totally closed. The website clearly said “open today”. As I waited for my group, I watched as one by one more people gathered at the closed gate - families, older people, a tour. All left sad and upset to see it shut without warning. What is going on? Why is there no information? I would think twice about going since there is no way to get accurate hours and no one to contact. Such a shame

Can definitely recommend visiting, especially if the weather clears up a bit.

I live nearby and didn't even know this hidden gem was near me (I love botanical gardens). Went there with my parents expecting it to be quite small. We eventually spent quite some time there. The outside garden was beautiful and felt like an oasis.

Very nice cozy place, with amazing trees and flowers. I just love it . Despite the fact I have been here in January I am fond of it and want to come here next time when I will be in Amsterdam.
