Beautiful place, you can sit or touch anything you want. The staff was super friendly. It costs 8 euros or 5 if your under 26.

Beautiful house with a nice garden. I was waiting for my Museumkaart to arrive so I visited this house instead. Tickets are 5€ for people under 26. Well worth the price to pretend you are among the 17th century elite for an hour.

All this splendor but at what cost? House Bartolotti has an interesting history, and prides itself on its privileged inhabitants. The house is beautifully restored and the audio tour provides a lot of background on the comings and goings of it’s successful merchant owners. Unlike many of Amsterdams other museums, however, it does so without any critical reflection on the Dutch colonial history and its extractive “merchants”. Such splendor will always have a shadowy side and it would be good to engage with that history as well.

Really interesting! This small museum was a private residence and people leaved there until recently. Then has been bought by a company that restored the house and transformed it into museum. Very kind staff that explains vividly details of the house, serves tea and coffe and let you dress the table of the kitchen as in the past. A very pleasant and interesting experience, I really recommend.

Was lucky enough to visit this beautiful house during Open Monuments Dag. Amazing interior and such a interesting glimpse into the lives of Merchants in the 1600s. In my opinion there could be more information about the different rooms and the house itself.

Amazing experience!! it was windy , gloomy and cold day. After I arrived, I have been suggested from the staff to go to the kitchen where I was served with coffee and a cookie. While I was enjoying and resting after long walk there was the staff member who told the story about the owner of the home to who the house belonged in 17th century. I felt so comfortable in there, it was hard to get up and continue the tour upstairs. I highly suggest you to come and take the tour. Such a positive energy - even is super old.

Casa Bartolotti is a museum different from the others because here the visitor is the protagonist of the visit, a truly active subject who can have different experiences by visiting one room after another. For example, napkins can be folded following the instructions written in a book that was used in the past for important dinners or to set the table on different occasions. On the ground floor there is free tea, coffee and biscuits and in the garden if you are lucky some sweet cats will be waiting for you to cuddle. The staff is very friendly but perhaps the entrance fee is a little expensive. However, it is worth it because the house is beautiful both internally and externally.

This his a hidden gem, the hospitality is great and the building is surprising. The rooms of this house are one by one stunning. Nice surprises hidden in the building. It has a lovely big garden (for Amsterdam standards). The association Hendrick de Keijzer did a great job to preserve this beautiful house along one of the most posh canal's of Amsterdam.

Chic place in the very center of Amsterdam. Old house with history. The price of flowers is relatively low! Very attractive staff at the entrance. You can walk through the open rooms as much as you want. Lots of old furniture that you can touch and even sit on. This is not common in museum spaces. Downstairs is a beautiful kitchen and access to a wonderful garden. In the kitchen, you will be treated to coffee or tea, as well as cookies. In addition to the excursion itself, we also took beautiful photos and videos for the girl there. We were very pleased with our visit to this house. Thank you! P.S. now I plan to visit other houses of this type.

I really enjoyed visiting this house. If you are aware or have any interest in the history and development of European culture you'll enjoy it and find it interesting I'm sure. Specific to me as a woodworker I know but I learnt details of Mahogany importation and it's darker side which I hadn't been aware of. But in general the whole experience is great. Really informative and easy to follow with an audio guide. Beautiful place with a beautiful interior. Absolutely well worth a visit.

One of the best house museums in Amsterdam. It is cheaper than others, but still enough rooms, many furniture and stuff which you can touch and move. Friendly stuff.

Beautiful intimate museum house where you can sit on anything. Friendly volunteers for explanations and offering a glass of wine/grape juice in the living room and coffee in the kitchen.

The house is wonderful, especially with the free audio tour, that contains so much interesting information about all aspects of regular life there. The staff is super friendly too. Whole hearted recommendation!
