This is the greatest Sunday roast available in the Netherlands. The lamb roast was absolutely spectacular and provided truly authentic British energy. Make sure to get the desert. This restaurant has a 3 layer ginger cake made by the gods, and a scone cake with custard that can make a grown man cry.

I went there for lunch and the food was beyond my expectations. Loved the sausage and scones, I would definitely go back.

Come just before peak hours to secure a table and good service. The food’s great, and priced accordingly. The servers / chef will also adapt the menu to your needs. Though it does get crowded, once you’re seated, you’re welcome to stay as long as you need without the pressure of constantly ordering more or leaving. There are also board games inside that you can entertain yourself with.

Such a nice breakfast place (they also have dinner service but we went there for breakfast)💕 Amazing dishes, so filling and tasty. Amazing service. Such a cozy interior. If you are in the area, it is a must try!

This small cafe is very cozy, and incredibly popular on the weekend. Not sure if reservations can be made but they very kindly made room for us in a booth corner. The food was good, especially the scones. We had one with cinnamon, clotted cream, and jam. The shepherd's pie was very nice was well. We loved that it came with a tiny jar of mustard. The service was impeccable, even though the place was very busy. Would definitely visit again.

Good place with delicious food for breakfast and lunch. They have enough vegetarian options. All the food I tried was tasty. It’s pretty crowded and loud place, but you can reserve a table. I liked dessert with pudding, it’s veeery good

Cozy spot with tasty dishes. We were recommended this spot by a local, as an amazing lunch spot. But can say that it’s also an amazing dinner spot. Everything was excellently flavored, cooked, and prepared.

Fantastic place for authentic British food here. The Sunday Roast is absolutely amazing. Make sure to book a table though, cause it’s popular for a reason!

The Cottage makes the best eggs in town. Other than that, the staff is super friendly, professional, and dedicated to give you a great time. One of my favourite places in Amsterdam.

Probably my favorite place in the city. The #SundayRoast is amazing. Best platter in town. Great people too.

The restaurant is really small (can probably sit like 30 people), but they do have a bar and the food and service was excellent. We went to try the Sunday roast (were lucky to find a table on the same day), and tried the vegetarian + meat roast. The food was delicious, they have a good collection of beers + wines and the desserts were outstanding (especially the ginger cake and apple crumble). Would highly recommend, but book in advance even though they usually have some seats for walk ins.

Very nice place. The food is amazing and the menu always has something new to offer: new type of scone or new breakfast. The coffee is great and a cookie for it is homemade with a nice selection of spices. The employees are very welcoming! Really love the place and if I want to go for brunch — this is my top 1 choice.

We sat outside with heating lamps, which was quite fine when it wasn’t too windy. Service was a little bit slow, but good overall. Very nice Sunday roast, but serving sizes of other dishes were a bit small.

A beautiful gem hidden behind the flowerstall and ugly advertising column. Basic set-up. Interesting menu. Exceeding expectations. Very tasty and nicely balanced dishes. Staff is kind. Prices very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Super cozy and relaxed atmosphere but it gets crowded on weekends and can feel a bit cramped. Make sure you reserve a table in advance. The vegetarian Sunday roast was delicious and very filling as the portion was quite large. The mushrooms rolls were super good too. I can see why this is a regular spot for comfort food among locals!

I had the pleasure of having breakfast at this restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. I opted for the vegan cottage breakfast, and it was nothing short of amazing. The quality of ingredients used was top-notch, and the flavors were spot-on. To complement my meal, I enjoyed a cup of their outstanding coffee, which was rich and aromatic. A nice surprise was the complimentary bottle of water, which added to the overall positive experience. The restaurant’s commitment to high-quality food and excellent service truly shines through. I highly recommend this place for breakfast; you won’t be disappointed!

This place is amazing. I was visiting Amsterdam for a work trip and decided to find restaurant close to my hotel. Absolutely did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the staff and service was impeccable. The atmosphere was homey and inviting. I was able to sit by the window and have a fantastic view all that was going on outside. The restaurant isn't located near the city center, but I would still highly recommending a visit!

Fantastic brunch location! I sat solo at the bar inside. There is outside seating as well. The food and staff and coffee are A+. Say hi to Cato behind the bar and Matt creating magic in the kitchen! Also check out their deli across the street

Great place to get brunch! Got some good vegetarian options too. I tried breakfast menu and other vegetarian menu, and they were all really tasty. This place is always full of people dining outside the restaurant. Servers are all very friendly and helpful. This area is really chill and nice so it is overall a great place to get your brunch any day.

Sublime eggs, so good we came here both mornings we stayed in the area. Highly recommend. Friendly attentive professional staff. The homemade jam and the hot cross scone were also first class.

We got the lamb pie and Sunday roast. It was really tasty. We saw the table next to us asked for extra Yorkshire puddings with the roast so we asked for extra too. However after we got the plate we were told it's not possible as the chef doesn't have enough. That was disappointing for us but portions are very good size and the staff is really really nice. We saw that the place has some board games so we will be back for some of that as well and to try the desert 😝

Had a lovely dinner here with friends, sitting outside in the summer. The food is great, British cuisine. Service was a bit slow at times but they were very busy and we weren't in a rush. Also I'm pregnant so can't drink - and they had the best non alcoholic cider I've ever had.

Was looking for a place to have lunch with some friends before leaving Amsterdam and this place came up with great reviews. I was not familiar with the food options on the menu but I went with the omelette at the recommendation of the hostess. Probably one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had and in my top 5 omelettes ranking. The eggs were fluffy, buttery, and the sweet peppers, onions and cheese gave it the perfect flavor. Washed it down with a cider beer from their menu. The vibe was super relax and chill. The four of us sat at the bar and was able to chat with each other and take in the scene. My friends really enjoyed their meals as well. We had the sautéed shrimp as an appetizer and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Great place to try if you’re in Amsterdam East .

Visited for the English breakfast and this was probably the best option in the city. A lovely English inspired modern cafe/restaurant with a wide menu and Amsterdam prices. Visit if you want a specific English dish and you'll probably have a good time! The scone with clotted cream was delicious as well.

Pies took a weirdly long time to arrive, chicken pie was a bit soup-y. Scones weren't too bad though!

I’ve had the Sunday roast and chicken pie. The roast was a few thin cuts of beef with potatoes and vegetables comprising the majority of the dish (overpriced). The chicken pie was ok. This restaurant is a bit overpriced - nothing special at all. Servers were rather nice and the atmosphere was chill.

Our first time at this place after seeing all the raving reviews. We had the Sunday Roast (good portion and delicious). Finished with the scone and butter pudding with custard, also very nice. Staff was very attentive and warm. All in all, a great experience. We will definitely come back to try other things on the menu. Make sure to make a reservation, as it was packed when we went there.

Visited this place recently with a lot of expectations but was a bit disappointed. Very few choices to choose from. But the food was really tasty. Tried the chicken pie and full English breakfast- which was really nice.
