My friends and I had a truly disappointing experience at the Social Club. The security personnel treated us with aggression and disrespect. When I kindly asked the guard to be nicer, he replied with a discriminatory remark, saying, "You are not in AFRICA here, and if you don't like this, you can leave!" Such behavior is unacceptable. It's essential for establishments to prioritize customer satisfaction and provide a safe, inclusive environment. Unfortunately, the Social Club failed to meet these expectations. I urge the management to address this issue promptly and improve their customer service. Consider other venues that prioritize respect and inclusivity.

In my case we were all out in the sort of smokers/terasse area Friday night and even though everybody was smoking calmly and chatting, the security guard just came to me and hit my hand HARD to smack the cigarette out of my hand for no reason. I asked him why he did that and why he felt it was okay to raise his hand against people and he refused to answer. He shoved us back inside the club telling us to leave except the exit was where he was, so we wandered confused and hurt in the club with our belongings with no help from staff. Will never go back again. I’m only leaving two stars because there was one great bartender, a black man he was wearing a purple jacket ? He was so kind to us, very fun, visibly enjoyed his job and the music and even kindly exchanged us money so we could have a two euro coin for the lockers. Give that man a raise and a high 5 ❤️

Reading some of the reviews here is quite surprising as it was not what I experienced myself on Saturday 28th October 2023. The bouncer was fine to get in and I personally only saw the bouncers kicking out the clearly off their faced drunk people. I've dealt with bad bouncers in Lisbon and Dublin (In Lisbon bouncers tried to steal my phone) and didn't see that here. Music was good, drink prices fine for Amsterdam. I had a very good night only downside were the toilets. I don't like disregarding other reviewers opinions but honestly I had a fun experience with no issues. I'd go back again.

Body guard was very weird. Refused entry for asking to finish the drink outside and then enter. He expressed that this was bad attitude because I held it when he pulled it from me. I wouldn't recommend, i went to photograph an event, organized by my clients and the security guys were being very agressive pushing me and saying i was rude when if someone was being agressive there, were them. I went there to work, not to have fun or disturb nobody and this guys were treating me like i was a criminal, just because my colleague (videographer) was late and we wanted to start working soon as possible. For sure next time someone asks me to work there i will refuse because i don't feel safe with agressive securities, instead of their target being criminals or not well behavioured people, are normal people who just want to have fun, and sometimes because they don't know the house rules they have to deal with those idiots. What those securities need is to face a real criminal maybe they start being more humble after some slaps on those faces

Bought a ticket ahead of time but got turned away because I had sandals on. Apparently it says so on the site but not at all obvious, and had queued for around half an hour before being turned away. Went to the watering hole instead which is opposite - would recommend instead of this pretentious club!

Beyond impressed. Not sure what the bouncers’ name was but a man with dark curly hair and freckles ( I THINK named sunny; drives a VW) - took it upon himself to help my friend (multiple streets away from the club) to help us get home. Gave us help getting home with nothing but respect, care, and kindness towards us (regardless of some bouncers attitudes towards young drunk girls). You should be proud of such an employee - a representation of exactly what you can wish all bouncers were. Thank you - will provide my support in the future 100%.

The rude girl in the toilet even would cause argument even when we have the stamp to go into the toilets for the night. We went there for new years eve and we couldn't choose worst... entrnace opened at 11.20pm. another 15 min spent on checking the tickets cause the system was crashing down when scanning. Music wasn't too bad, but the staff was really rude what ruined the whole evening (there was just 4 of us - two couples, not like we were making mess or being aggressive... ). Waiters were passing by every 5 min shining flashlights to check if there is anything empty on the table. Really there is so many great places in Amsterdam that you should not waste your time in this club.

I visited the club from the UK for an ADE event. After reading all the terrible reviews about the security guards, I was a bit hesitant but I was totally reassured when greeted by friendly, happy to help staff throughout the club (door staff, bar staff, toilet staff! All amazing!). The venue is really cool, I loved the balcony on the second floor. With the venue being so small it also meant we bumped into a couple of DJs at the bar - incredible, once in a lifetime experience. Would definitely visit again :) After reading other reviews, I see the name Sunny (door staff) - want to give him a big shout out for taking care of me! <3
