Rembrandt Hoeve

Tourist attraction Farm

👍👍 Truest authentic cheese and clogs making experience. Better than Zaanse Schaans . The farm owner has been making cheese for 4 generations . The smoaked cheese is incredible. Well worth the trip out. Bathrooms could use some improvement but the rest is truly authentic Dutch farm style . Was brilliant People often mention cheese, tour, visit, owner, making,

Much more entertaining than I had expected. Beautiful surroundings and well tended cattle which were all visible and able to be seen. Interesting tour with lively farmer.

Took a bike tour out of Amsterdam to visit this cheese farm. What a unique experience. First time around cheese production and its equipment. The owner was really cool and witty, made for an interesting time. A recommended excursion!

Beautiful place just near Amsterdam, Cheese factory and clogs workshop. We had comprehensive explanations about the cheese type and they provide a tasting experience. The Guide at that place was really relented he mange to speak more than 8 languages during our visit. The also attached to a gift shop that sells also all types of the farms type cheese. This visit was part of a day trip from Brussels to visit Amsterdam.

Great place who want to buy authentic hand made Netherlands cheese. It is all made from hand in a traditional way. You can also buy traditional wooden shoes from here. Mostly used by farmers to work on fields, but great for sovereigns and house decoration.

Incredible place. The owner is so knowledgable and will walk you through the whole process. Also a recommendation, ask him how many languages he speaks. He will most likely speak yours.

Dropped in without a reservation. The owner was so nice and gave a great tour of the cheese and shoe making. We also got to see their cows. Really enjoyable!

If you are in Amsterdam, rent a bike and take a beautiful 25 minute ride out. You can even stop along the way at a windmill. You get to see the traditional making of Clogs and Dutch Gouda. You can pet the cows and spend time with the owners.

This place has amazing cheese. The host explains everything amazingly. Throws in Hindi words. Wooden shoes are another attraction. Must visit places. The souvenirs are cheap and amazing. Don't forget to buy cheese.

As part of a tour, we stopped at the Hoeve, where the family welcomed us, and our questions, and shared both demonstrations in clog making and how Gouda is made.

We rode our bikes along the river after visiting amstelpark to Rembrandt Hoeve. When we got there we thought it was closed because it was so quiet. The owner and his son were quietly makes cheese and clogs when we came in. We were treated to a private tour and cheese tasting. The owner was a unique and quirky personality but also funny and gracious. His son was also helpful and engraved a clog for us. THE CHEESE IS EXCELLENT. GET SOME OF THEIR CHEESE.

Loved this place but it was confusing at first because no one was there. We actually called and then someone came out and it was just us. The lady was very nice and showed us around and could taste the cheese. The cheese was soooooo good and we bought a bunch but unfortunately they molded really quickly after we got back home for some reason. Maybe I just don’t know how to keep it. She said not to put it in the fridge and just room temp. Anyways, definitely need to go back for more.
