A year after its founding in 2015, I was a guest and felt very welcome by the more than warm welcome. Both hosts Peter and Wim do everything they can to make everyone happy. Of course there are rules, but they are very broad and therefore it is a very safe environment for everyone where you can be yourself, regardless of your preferences (photography of other guests without their permission is prohibited). Great respect, both ways. Since my first visit I have been coming back here every year, often several times a year and it never disappoints. I often meet guests who return every year. HMC currently (2021) has three camper sites that are fortunately not located somewhere in the back but integrated into the camping site. The campsite is corona-proof. Waste separation is available. But above all the "powderhouse" is sublime. Very cozy space for when it rains. Every morning and evening there is a joint (free) coffee/tea hour in which you are free to participate. Wim regularly visits you to ask how things are going and whether you would like to join us for coffee. And what is very special: the hosts really care that singles also have a say among the couples, and foreigners who do not speak the Dutch language are also actively involved and addressed in their own language (English, French, German). The dedication of the "chapel" was hilarious (see video on the website). All this makes the atmosphere so unique, you must experience it. Keep it up, guys! Cheers!

We would love to come back, also because of the excellent hosts!!! Both are super nice and really great with their guests. We were on site with a 12 ton expedition truck. It was a bit tight but our 9 meters fit very well in the space provided. The place is also very well located, we went on a great bike ride (excellent route) to Utrecht… a city really worth seeing. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl, und alle Bedenken, was einen dort erwarten könnte, sind verflogen. Es gibt auf dem Platz ganz klare Regeln. Tagsüber haben wir oft die Gegend erkundet, manchmal auch gemeinsam mit anderen Gästen. Abends hat man sich vorne immer auf ein Getränk mit andere Campern getroffen, wir haben noch nie so viele Leute auf einem Campingplatz kennengelernt. Dadurch, dass alles so klein, überschaubar und familiär ist, ist auch immer alles sauber. Die Außendusche haben wir bei den Temperaturen sehr genossen! Überall findet mal kleine Details, die einem immer wieder ein Schmunzeln aufs Gesicht zaubern. Fazit: Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
