Beautiful spot, nice hotel, lovely and very friendly and helpful staff. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel though if you have children. It’s just not adequate for young people, especially babies. The restaurants are okay but nothing special, yet quite expensive.

Sep 23 A real place of contrasts. On the one hand an idyllic location and on the spot lake swimming. Wonderful. On the other hand a place with only one rather poor coffee machine for a (quite costly) breakfast is not really trying hard enough. The real problem is it's rather poor on the access for persons with mobility issues. A similar standing of hotel in the UK with similar listed status would do a lot better. Taken together, enjoyed our stay here but we won't be coming back.

Spent a very relaxing weekend at the Abbaye de Talloires, a short drive from Annecy. Very attentive service and friendly staff. A perfect place to rest and unplug, enjoy the Abbaye’s great facilities, gardens and take a dip in the lake, all within a very cosy and exclusive atmosphere. The restaurant facilities on location are very good, but the Abbaye is also close to a number of fine dinning establishments in the area. Well worth the stay.

My husband and I had our wedding here a week ago. It was the most amazing venue! All of our guests were extremely pleased. Everyone’s stay was spectacular. We look forward to visiting very soon and highly recommend staying here and getting married here!

A picturesque and historic 'Abbaye' on the lake of Annecy, gets 100% on location, location, location, but also they looked after us all extremely well. The food, service and accommodation are all top notch and our three nights there were wonderful in every respect. Thank you all so much! PS It was our son's wedding and it couldn't have been a more perfect occasion in the most magical and enchanting hotel.

It is really all about the location. Without the waterfront access it would be a fairly standard hotel. Nonetheless the pontoon directly on the lake is amazing. Our room looked like it was recently renovated but the friends we travelled with had a much smaller, dated room. The spa is small. Staff at the reception was OK. The breakfast was overpriced and the hotel restaurant was closed several evenings. The young guy serving at the outdoor bar was outstanding.

About the hotel : Authentic , well preserved and charming. You Aube the impression of traveling back in time. The rooms are tiny . About the restaurant : The terrasse of restaurant is absolutely magnificent whether you are having breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is of great value and has an excellent choice of wines (bonus: reasonable wine prices). The sommelier (master of Porto) is amazing . Friendly The only « negative » is the setting inside the restaurant, it lacks space and some intimacy. There are only a few tables that are in front of the window which I can recommend - the rest of them are just not well positioned (Stayed there for a few nights in July 2022)

The most amazing hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Came here for a few days on our honeymoon and we fell in love. The staff were awesome, the views couldn’t be beat, and the hotel had so much history. We will be back very soon! The town is also very charming and located near many things, I would recommend making reservations for dinner. We came in the off season and it was really hard to get dinner due to things being fully booked

This was only my second day in Annecy and having dinner outside was the perfect way to end the day. It was a collection of excellent flavors and the service was impeccable. I have included the tasting menu and the corresponding dishes. Delectable!

Merci Merci Merci! One of our first overseas trips with our 6 month old and Abbaye de Talloires did not disappoint. The staff were extremely accommodating and understanding - they provided a cot and high chair. We loved spending the day on the lake enjoying the sunshine, water and views. In the evening we ate incredible food and delicious wine at the hotel - it was from a fairytale. Specially Sebastian was very helpful as we had to amend our dates. Thank you for the hospitality! Until next time.

What a glorious setting for lunch on a sunny day. A beautiful old ecclesiastical building now deployed as a fine hotel with carefully preserved features. A lovely garden setting overlooking the lake. Excellent friendly service from all the staff and a well judged menu. Well worth the trip to this end of Lac d'Annecy. Taking the road to the South will give you the best views of the lake as you arrive and depart.

Just gorgeous. The location is unbeatable in one of the most beautiful spots on the planet. Service is excellent. The building is historic, enchanting and classic; don't expect modernity. Rooms can be small (likewise bathrooms) - a very small price to pay for the whole experience when you can get a lake view like this. Much better value for money than several Talloires alternatives, and highly recommended.

Beautiful setting and great hotel. Food was delicious too except for the curry risotto. That is the only dish that was not appetising but 3 out 4 days food was amazing

Based on our experience at the restaurant and the spa, I would recommend seeking other establishments. The view is fantastic (directly over the lake), and the building itself is elegant in its ancient beauty, but the food was overall disappointing, and our reservation for 2 massages at the spa got lost, the staff apologized, but 50 minutes went by between the moment when we arrived at the spa and the moment we finally walked out, still waiting for the towels that were supposed to have been brought to us so that we could at least enjoy the facility (massages were rebooked for a later date). The staff was clearly stressed about a wedding they were hosting that day, and the stress was palpable for the guests. I think we will cancel the rebooked massages : the facility seemed small, and overall disappointing for a 4-star establishment.

Excellently located. A very elegant hotel with an impeccably clean room. A very good buffet breakfast overlooking the hotel's picturesque decks. Pity our stay was marred by a last minute experience during check out. I was told by a receptionist that i could purchase the canvas bag found in our room . I needed the bag as my personal one had just had its zip torn off. I paid 45 euros for the bag to the receptionist on duty at noon on Thurs 11/08. May I add that she was a very helpful receptionist. After paying, the receptionist' s superior ( probably a manager), told the receptionist to credit the money back to my account and have the bag returned - in spite of the hotel advertising the mentioned bag for sale. I was gobsmacked as we had to leave and I ended up with no bag. Found this to be a real disservice , especially from a hotel like Abbaye which carries a good reputation. What upset my husband and myself most was the arrogant attitude of the 'manager' who didnt even bother to communicate with us after having actually paid for the bag. It was only the young lady who apologized for the circumstance. I believe that such experiences should absolutely be avoided. An additional note to the manager during check out on thurs 11/08 - interpersonal skills are key. Lack of them marred what could have been a stellar experience.

👍👍 Very good food! The place is right next to an actual farm from which a lot of the produce is sourced. The menu is nice and concise. We had fondu (€26 p.p.) with some charcuterie and salad and was just great! Since recently, there is a new team that runs the place. We were one of the first ones to co...
