This is a typical Sri Lankan post office, don't expect top class service. But unlike other post offices, staff in this post office very friendly and helpful. This place is open on Sunday, but some services are not available.

Very valuable place in Kandy.One of the old post offices in entire country.

Friendly staff and offering various kinds of services including paying bills, sending letters, photocipying, binding and so on. Ample parking is available. This place has an internet cafe too which charges lower rates than the other cafes in the area. Even the place is well maintained.

Good. to the best of my knowledge they are opened till 6pm. If you want to send registered posts you have to get things done before 3pm otherwise it will be sent on next shift (day after). They have a internet cafe also. Additionally, provides printout, photocopying facility, fax, downloads, scans, and has a place that sells all related things such as envelops, coverings etc including gift cards.

I do online business so that, I'll have to deliver my items to my customers and I choosed SL post cash on delivery service to deliver several times. I sent a rubber back cover without any damage to my customer by your service but, the customer recieved the back cover broken and damaged. Then I asked a lady who works in the post office, how the cover got broken? and she told it might be broken and been damaged when we seal the parcel before sending it. So then the next day I wrapped the covers using a bubble wrap infront of those ladies who works there. But, those covers are also broken and damaged. I'm confused of how're the rubber covers get broken. I don't know whether they're doing this to everyone and also If I delivery those items by a courrier service, the items I send will be collected by the customers very neatly without any damages. How's it? Who's fault is this? This issue happend in kandy market post office

Went there to claim a foreign parcel. Foreign parcel counter open at 10am. Staff there is helpful. I was able to claim my parcel after paying necessary taxes. Better experience than going to Colombo mail exchange to claim parcels. Parking spaces are available in this post office, which is great. 🙂

I sent some photos of kids to Matale to my parents . This Kandy place is holding them and sent a letter to my parents to come and pay money and pick up them. I called them and said my parents are not well to leave the house and forgetful as well . My friend went to pick them up after I sent an email with her ID num.They refused saying need the letter. After 5 months my sister in law went from overseas and got the letter from Matale and went to pick it up. All of them were sleeping inside the office. I hate to say this what lazy people they are demanding money from us. We are working so hard nearly 7 days non stop. Today they are saying my father needs to fill 11 pages of papers to get the photos. And that we need to pay rupees 60 each day for 5 months because they kept the photos with them. Maybe it cost me nearly ruppes 3000 to post them to Matale. Why do i need to pay rupees 10000 to the post office .I had enough of this bad service. My father is so forgetful and he is not able to fill these forms.They change the rules every minute. So bad customer service. Please burn the photos. It only has a sentimental value. They don't care about people. This is my first public review. I really don't like anyone else going through with this

The Kandy post office provides excellent service with efficient and friendly staff. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. It's a convenient place to send and receive mail, with quick processing times. A reliable and hassle-free experience overall. Service is very good and supportive staff.

I've got to receive 6 parcels from alixpress which is already there in the post office nearly for 2 months,but still they don't send it!

Today I went there for an emergency with my documents. Kandy Post Office staff provided excellent service regarding my matter.👏🥰🙏 They are super friendly. 👌🤝 After long time, I saw some gentlemen🧑‍💼🧑‍💼🧑‍💼in a government office. Hats off to all of you🤞🙏🤗.
