Reason for visiting? Two choices on Anse Lazio, we took the Mabuya. Would I visit again? Most likely, food was good, waitress sweet and friendly although prices are at least 20% exaggerate even co.pared to the high Seychelles standards. Was the food delicious? The food, chicken curry, octopus curry, fish curry was very (!) good and the portions were real! The optics of Hamburger and sandwich plates were promising as well. Price-performance ratio? Mabuya is around 15-25% overpriced, so a "so la la" would be still a friendly comment, with an (delicious ) Octopus curry counting für 540 SER. However the food was very good. Service style: The service was friendl, funny and sweet. Excellent English though. Respect. Keep that heart warming young lady, whatever it costs! 🙂 Atmosphere: Open, Bali style terrace, clean, a lot of wood. Definitely well done architecture. Comments: Too expensive for a spontaneous snack, excellent for a good quality lunch. I am pretty sure Matbuya would make money with prices still in orbit of the 'normal' Seychelles price ranges. We saw several customers turning their backs after seeing pasta for 440 SER, steak for 640 SET and curries between 375 and 540 SER.

The best restaurant at Anse Lazio for sure. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautifully designed interieur. Great view and the relaxing noises of the sea in the background. But most importantly: Great food with good quality ingredients and well cooked. We definitely loved it here and enjoyed our time here. Thank you! Some mentioned high prizes, but to be honest I found the prizes quite fair for the good food and the perfect location. Great things should be valued!

Great food, service and atmosphere as well. The dessert coconut nugah (in the menu, described as "candy"), is tasty and quite big, so I advise not to order it if you want something small and light😅 We left pretty satisfied with everything, dined in two days there (to be sure not to get disappointed if trying some new place). Recommend

Expensive but the food is really good. We had fish "catch of the day" and it was nicely prepared and tasted delicious. Batter for any fried Calamari/Prawns is really crunchy. Direct view at one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. Staff friendly and efficient.

The food is super delicious, however a bit expensive- we paid about 200eur for a lunch (including wine). The restaurant provides WiFi but it is not working which was very disappointing. It is a new restaurant -clean and the service was ok.

We had an absolutely terrific lunch at Mabuya! The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the ambience and views were outstanding. (The decor is very coastal chic!) We found the prices to be extremely reasonable as well. We really enjoyed everything we ate - the fish ceviche, the aglio olio pasta, the fish tacos, and the brownie dessert. The drinks were also great, including the mocktails and espressos. Thank you for hosting us - we can’t wait to come back and try more things on your menu!

Nice new restaurant opposite Anse Lazio. Expensive but nothing more than normal seychelles prices. Serving sizes are large. Chilled fresh coconut was really good as well. Big open space with views of the beach. Good for a pre or post beach snack, drink or meal

Disgusting management and service from rude staff. My wife and I have never been spoken to in such a disgraceful manner. Our food came to 736 rupees including 15%VAT. We had 750 rupees total as cash on us and wanted to pay using that. Was told by the manager that service charge is a legal requirement in the Seychelles which is 10% making our total supposedly 804 rupees. I had no wifi to check at the time if this was true or not. Since returning to our hotel it is very clearly NOT a legal requirement and therefore the 750 we offered as payment was more than what was required legally. I have never been so disgusted in all my life and what the manager did was actually illegal in itself. Forcing us to pay more than we are required to. We would never come back and I will be claiming the money we paid extra back. ***UPDATE*** restaurant has replied stating that 10% service charge is normal in the Seychelles but that isn’t true. I have eaten at a lovely Italian restaurant where service charge was completely optional and no compulsory. I paid 10% over and was offered change which I then left. Embarrassment this place. I have attached a photo showing that not all places ‘expect’ 10% as standard. Your staff members expecting to get 10% before the meal is even brought out is just embarassing.

👍👍 I had the tuna steak with lemon pepper and it melted in my mouth and was absolutely superb. My partner had the octopus curry and the aroma and the taste of the curry was amazingly delicious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come back again! Very impressed!

👍 Lovely resturant with several delicious vegan options. The staff are absolutely amazing. The ambience is nice but the tables seem a bit too close.
