I knew about this monument few years before I planned this trip to South America. So of course this was one of the places I wanted to visit the most. And I don't regret it. It's very easy to get to, even hitchhiking.

Not worth the hype. It’s a fine place to stop and have lunch or pee but I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it. It’s just what you see in the pictures, a huge art installment in the middle of the desert. I was with some friends on my way to see the flowering desert in the south and stopped on the way by. I wouldn’t go back or advise anyone else to make a special trip to see it.

A hand. On a dessert. Impressive. A must go if you have a car and a few hours to spent around Antofagasta. And want to impress your friends with cool photos.

Amazing art monument in the middle of the desert 🌵 I only saw by day but apparently it is best to go at night to see it with a starry background- an hours drive from Antofagasta and nothing else around so take water with you - worth a visit if you have time but quite expensive to get there ... by car only so it’s rental or taxi

The ‘must do’ photo in Chile! But it’s like 200m from the main road and not in the middle of the desert. it’s hard to take a photo without the powerlines or another vehicle in it. Even big trucks are coming to the monument to take pictures (and ruining the gravel road to there)

It's a great place to drive to to see the stars. It's basically in the middle of no where so you must drive and bring warm clothes with you.

A truly magnificent piece of art. I don't visit churches, museums etc but this, standing in the desert alone, is truly grand. Must see!

The off-road to get close is very bumpy, but it is a cool structure to visit!

😠 Sadly, lots of homeless people but far worse is the litter. The local Council did their best with this beach but is ruined by people not thinking about their environment. Trash everwhere.

👍👍 Always a wonderful beach witha lot of fun activities around it. It also has a floating dock to where you can swim to and enjoy the ocean current and view. It has a jumping point, bathrooms with shower, food areas and more

👍 Small beach, nice but not many facilities. Next to a big Líder supermarket and the fishmarket though!
