I am writing this comment because I don't want anyone else to have the unpleasant experience I had with this hotel. The room allocated to me and my wife was a very dirty room, women's hair had fallen all over the room and you could see the stains all over the floor to identify the tiles that were not mopped. The bathroom was very unpleasant the wash basin was blocked and the bathroom walls looked like they had never been cleaned.The most unpleasant thing is the presence of worms in the dinner we were given. The hotel management has not considered to give a reply to the e-mail message that was sent to complain. An unpleasant hotel

ROOM 102 - Room was clean and washroom was well maintained, Internet connection is strong. AC & Hot water facilities. Tea Coffee facilities were not available in this particular room however my colleagues said they got it after requesting. Restaurants - There's two restaurants the new one looks great and breakfast was good. Staff - was able to extend the check out time upto 1pm.. so they are flexible. Overall the place is good for a family night out while visiting the religious places in Anuradhapura. NEW VISIT 2019 Sep After Almost one year from my previous visit I re visited the hotel 23rd September 2019 for a training. I was so disappointed to see how the service have gone down. The room that was arranged for the training had a Air Conditioner which sound like sitting in a the beach. wind sound was so strong. The water bottle used for a dispenser was from a locally filling company, no seal just wrapped with a plastic bag. The dispenser bottle which was in the restaurant was covered with dust and dirt, since someone noticed me taking pictures it was covered with a cloth on the next day. The milk tea served included red ants on the 1st day Morning tea. When we reached the front office to request for two more chairs for the training the staff member who was responsible mentioned one of the other staff's name and told us to check with him. Then we asked how can we locate and identify the staff. Then he mentioned there is no way to communicate and he wanted us to wait until he showed up. Then we changed the tone and asked whether we were supposed to stand until he the person shows up. Then only the front office person took the request bit seriously. Unlike the last time I didn't stay overnight therefore I am not sure how the room quality is however, the chairs in lobby areas didn't seem to have seen a cleaning cloth for weeks. Food was still okay like the past visit, and the desert was very good. Other than that the hotel services has really gone down. Hotels think that the people don't visit often because of the country economy and the other risks but they don't understand people stops visiting because of the poor service that they provide for customers.

We booked 2 rooms. 207 and 208. 207- Bad odour coming from the room as well as from the bathroom. Shower cubicle door has come off and they have just kept it without fixing it. Could hardly do what you want to do in the room as the odour is so bad. Bathroom was not clean fitings were disgusting. We could not even hang a towel as the railing to hang the towel was full of bug dirt. No place to hang clothes/towel in the room. 208- Bathroom rub rennage was having an issue. Water was being collected in the tub and not drained out. Bathroom door couldn't be closed and had to be addressed by a carpenter. Toilet paper provided was dirty. Even though l have rated the room as 1 star it doesn't really deserve any star ratings. Only good thing about the hotel was the food.

I have been going to this hotel since 2009. A new manager has come and cares less about Sri Lankan people. All four of us had to wait an hour and twenty minutes to order. Not very good.

I would have given 4 stars for the way the booking was handled, check-in was done and room condition. We were able to reserve over the phone and we checked in almost midnight and were welcomed without a fuss. However, for the rate, they could have offered a better service. Even if we checked in mid night and were out at a doctor's appointment all day and got back to hotel at 11am, we asked for time till at least 2 pm to take a shower and have a nap before the long drive which they only gave till 1.30 pm. As there were hardly any guests, this could have been given easily. The TV was not working. Though we didn't fuss about it at midnight however informed them, we expected it to be fixed which did not happen. They refused to give a discount for this eighter. They rooms were nice, clean and comfortable however the common areas were not even swept. Poor value for money in a highly competitive area.

I had my wedding at Randiya on May 2018. We cannot thank you and all staff at the hotel enough for making our wedding day so memorable! We are so happy that we chose Hotel from our first visit to look at the venue right through to the day itself all the staff we met and dealt with have been professional and helpful. We would like to thank to Mr. Ridley who looked after us on very first day onward and all made sure that the room was set up as we wanted it and that all of our guests were comfortable and well looked after. The menu suite was perfect, the hotel and rooms were spotless and the food taste was amazing as all other said (since we both couldn't enjoy it at the moment :-).

Good hotel to explore Anuradapura. The rooms are clean. The bed is comfortable and toilets are good. The shower cubicle is a bit cramped..and need s a upgrade. The food is excellent. I recommend the rice and curry buffet...its really good. There is a small ish..pool if you want to cool down... I recommend Randiya to anyone visiting Anuradapura.

We are very frequent visitors to this hotel because the staff are very nice, friendly and obliging. The food is good and they would even oblige you with any special food request. The rooms and wash rooms are clean and well maintained. The pool is a nice addition to the hotel. It is a home away from home for us. A hotel with a personal touch.

After couple of years back, I had time to stay at this hotel for a workshop, so telling to sad the service is very poor. I had very bad experience with the hotel staff specially served at the restaurant. The people in the restaurant dos not any flexibility in dining, so one day they chased us before had our dessert. During the workshop, they reluctant to arrange the table as we requested but had to forced them to do so.

Great place to stay when you visit Anuradhapura. Very close to Pooja Nagaraya and Town. Very friendly staff and clean rooms are very attractive.

My family and i stayed at Randiya for two nights during our stay in Anuradhapura. It is an amazing hotel with a wide variety of amenities ranging from a bar to an infinite pool. The staff was friendly and made sure that we had a pleasant stay during our time with them. Moreover, the rooms were extremely clean and up-to great standards. The meals were fantastic as well ! Would definitely recommend to a family member or a friend ! Thank you Randiya ! 🙏

Service is good and the staff are kind. I think the hotel is average and acceptable.I know this is a very personal thing, but for me the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Use your own judgement as you always should.

Excellent service. Mister Mohan and his team are day and night at your service. Nice people with a warm hart! Our son had an accident and had to be hospitalized for 5 days in Anuradhapura. Instead of 2 nigths we spend an entire week at Hotel Randiya. We will never forget the good care, help and support that we received from the Hotel Randiya. We cannot thank you enough! A gentle and a reasonable place to enjoy your stay in Anuradhapura. Book the new wing which they call as delux rooms. The rooms are new and cozy. I've been there for full board basis. There was nit a vast spred of selection for meals. But the provided meals were really taisty and perfectly fine. I recomend this place if you are looking for a good place with a good value for money..

It was ok. Nobody knew how to run the bar. Swimming pool good, but no attendants to sort towels. It wasn't very busy, so difficult to know how many staff should be on duty.

Its a great place with friendly service & tasty foods that valuable for rates . Clean swiming pool & beet bar . I know this place for last 7 years & visiting twice year when go anuradhapura . If you walk few minutes from the hotel you can see nice lake view .
