My partner and I still are talking 5 years later about the most wonderful New Years celebration party we ever attended that took place at this hotel. Superb food, amazing band, fun raffle, electric dancing, competitions and staff getting involved in performance pieces for guests. Truly spectacular and something we will remember with the greatest of joy for the rest of our lives. Thank you. I hope you are all still doin well.

We had a wonderful vacation at the Miridiya Lake Resort, Anuradhapura. Special thanks to Mr. Udara for allocating the rooms and arranging the facilities for us. our stay was so relaxing. The price I paid was absolutely worth it.

We stayed on this hotel, room was ok and foods was good. However, bathroom was not cleaned enough and it was disgusting. Attached photos. Not recommended Also it is not a 4 star property. It is fake as confirmed by hotel manager.

My stay at Miridiya Lake Resort was a complete disaster. The poor room conditions, non-functional amenities, and lack of hot water, coupled with the outdated rooms and abysmal customer service, made for a truly miserable experience. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice and look elsewhere for accommodation. It was a stay I will not soon forget, but for all the wrong reasons.

I think Miridiya Lake is the Best Hotel to stay in Anuradhapura. And also It's pretty close to all of the temples.

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in Sri Lanka. We checked into room 131, last night and just checked out a ehe ago. The rooms are in such a dilapidated condition. The main door has big gap, and they had nailed a strip of plank on the door. The head board of the bed, the side cupboard were all dirty. You could see the head rest oily marks of others on the head board. The towels were even worse. They were yellow and thinned down after many years of use. Fortunately I had taken my own towels as I never use any hotel towel. The food was disappointing. We ordered noodles for dinner, and it was so salty. The only taste one could get was the soup cube. I overheard another family complaining about the food. I don't understand how they are a 4 start. The Hotel cooperation or tourist board should do random check up on all hotels in Sti Lanka.

Atmosphere is very calm and cool. Rooms are spacious and clean. Can spend good time blending with nature. Food also tasty.

We used to go to Miridiya Lake Resort every year as it was a good hotel with friendly staff. But this time we were dissaponted. We had to wait 1 and half hours till our rooms ready. Buffet was very poor in selections and taste as well. Once my wife got into the swiming pool with a t shirt, she was asked to get out of it although several others were there in the pool without swiming wears. A total discrimination. Cant recommend now. I stayed 2 nights and it was nice stay for the price. Rooms were cleaned and spacious. The staffs were good. Food were served à la carte and more than what we expected. Delicious food. Plenty of options as our wish either western or local cuisines. This was my first stay and we were delighted and thanks for the hotel giving us nice stay.

Stayed at Miridiya hotel from 26-27 February. The location is beautiful with a lot of greenery and trees. Rooms are specious and clean. The food was tasty, good quality and we were given a choice of dishes to choose from. Special appreciation goes to Mr Pradeep, FnB manager. He went out of his to make our stay a comfortable one. Would like to thanks the resident manner and the house keeping staff too. Looking forward to re-visit the hotel in near future.

Highly recommend this place. Staff was very kind and helpful. Food was excellent. Rooms were very clean. Great view of lake and environment was very quiet and beautiful.

Worth for the money you spent. Though they have limited number of variations for the buffet food selection, the taske of exsisting items can meet your requirements. Friendly staff, clean big rooms are reqlly good. Since the open restaurant you need to be careful from the mosquitoes and fly. Overall im satisfied with this hotel and definitely visit once again.

We have been staying at Miridiya when we visit Anuradhapura since last 10 years Food was delicious. Should mention Chief Chef Mr.Premathilake & his team for their hard work Rooms are spacious & clean. Close proximity to Anuradhapura sacred city & Railway station.

I stayed at this hotel during February this year and really enjoyed the location and the very helpful staff. The reception staff and those serving at the restaurant are exceptional. I enjoyed talking to the Gardners and shown about the way they turn garden waste into compost. The room was spacious and well maintained.

Loved everything about it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They have a baby pool as well as a big pool. We had a wonderful time there .

Lovely hotel set right by the lake. Food was great serving wide selection of foods to suit all. Service was great and location was beautiful.

Unfortunately we ended up in this so called 4-star hotel. It is actually one of the worst places we have stayed at in Sri Lanka. Their customer service is worse than you could possibly think of, there is no WiFi available at the hotel rooms eventhough they pretend that there is and the place is just dirty (see photo). The list goes on and on. We strongly suggest that you pick one of the many other hotels in Anuradhapura. One that actually very beautiful and know how to be there for their guests. This place is absolutely not worth the money at all. You could easilly find a place that is much better and cheaper at the same time.

Our stay was extremely serene. Apart from the entire experience, should definitely mention about the top notch cleanliness and hygene that the entire place is kept in. we had an amazing time as the management and staff made sure of it. Thank you for this lovely stay.

Room facilities are satisfied. Bath room conditions to be improved further. Since part of the hotel is under construction, had faced few difficulties. Dining facilities and area should be more focused. Restaurant staff to be trained and aware on quality services .Surrounding environment was cleaned and attractive due to Nuwara wewa tank.

Under construction and did not mention that at the booking. Superb location. Clean rooms. But the hotel could improve a lot for such a great location. The buffet area can be improved by being cleaned up. Food it self tasted good, however the dining area has obviouse issues.

Perfectly located hotel at the edge of the lake though you cant have a nice view from the rooms. Lake walking tract is easily accessible for a walk. Buffet are not well standard for the rate. Rooms are elegant but AC is not ok. Hot water is out of order .

Great stay at Anuradhapura, close to all attractions. Clean and cozy rooms with attention to detail. Tea, breakfast and dinner all served in buffet style, with a good variety and deliciously prepared. Loved the open air ambience of the dining hall, with polite service similar to a fine dining restaurant. Amazing views of the Nuwara wewa and a lush garden full of green. Well maintained pool. One could spend the whole vacay at the hotel premises itself, specially mornings and evenings at the garden by the lake are so serene. Everything was great, a lil extra than we expected. Exceptional value for money.

Absolutely awful experience. In the restaurant the food took 1,5 hour to come out and was very bland and over cooked. Cocktails were also poorly made. But worst of all was the service. The staff does not seem to understand the point of their job and the manager is very arrogant and would not say sorry or reduce the price no matter how much we argued our case. The restroom was dirty with dead mosquitos and cockroaches. Stay away from this terrible establishment.

While I was making the booking, wondering why they've got 7.5 rating? Soon we checked in, realized why. We've directed to the rear entrance as the front demolished for renovation and landed into a muddy carpark (security guard apologized). Checked into the room and soon realized AC was making a horrible sound. Complained and redirected to another room, maybe of lower grade, where the AC was with a lower noise. Then realized that the bathroom accessories were not in order. They have highest room rates in town though. Expectations were not fulfilled for the money spent. Not recommended. This hotel is at an excellent location near Tisawewa Lake with a nice view and cool breeze. Staffs were helpful.

Pool was superb! Staff also so friendly. Rooms were spacious . We ordered pineapple juice and it was so fresh and so delicious. Loved the environment as well!

Rooms are neat. Bathroom has some issue. bad odour. Looks like there is some issue in the disposal system. Friendly staff. Easy access to town. Parking at the facility should be improved. Friendly staff. Found mosquitoes in the room.

We went here for a day by the pool which costs 400 roepies. The pool is nice and big. We also had lunch which was good. This hotel is surrounded by a beautiful park. Friendly and attentive staff.

Ordered a very simple meal on the menu that took 1.5 hours to be served. It was shocking as we were the only two customers in the restaurant. Left feeling completely disrespected by the manager to whom we complained.

Food is not suitable for kids. Very spacy menu. At night you will sleep with mosquitoes and flies in dining area. Also, we found few rats in our roof (Gutter). Moreover, swimming pool is designed very dangerous way. Sudden slop to the deep end without any indication. Depth of the deep end also higher than normal pool. On top of that they don't have a proper life guard. Please do not send your kids to this pool.

Food was not good ,not tasty not served well. The day we were there , we had dinner and at that time mouse is eating the deserts. Wash rooms also not good. We complained and cancelled our FB booking and checked out next day early morning. CAN'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

Worst hotel experience.... Poor customer service as most of its staff are tired and not committed to work... Dirty rooms, linen & washrooms... Dirty and unclean dining room.. 🐀 are running inside dining room even in buffet area... Unhigienic food Totally dissatisfied
