Best meal in Thailand. The amazing lady who runs the place approached us with her menu which she prepares a day in advance and cooks just for you. It’s 590pp and worth every penny. She asks for any allergies/preferences then surprises you with whatever she would cook her family. She changes the menu depending on the fresh produce that day, and the season. We were lucky enough to have things ranging from a fresh local fruit which was presented beautifully. We then had poached chicken, the most unbelievable mushrooms that were dancing off my tongue and massaging my mouth, spicy crab curry with noodles finished off with some unreal coconut ice cream with egg yolk, don’t ask how just go there and eat it honestly. We were sat shovelling it down our throats whilst her family were bloody lovely to us. She told us how she cooked each dish, was so grateful when we enjoyed the food. Honestly she should be charging 5x the price and living from her chefs table Netflix feature. If someone doesn’t put this place on a documentary then they’re all getting lazy. 10/10 unreal god bless that lady.

We enjoyed the secret menu here, which was a selection of local food and traditional dishes with a twist. We then came back two subsequent days for the mango crumble which is just incredible. This is hands down the best food we had in three weeks in Thailand.

We've been to Grandmas House twice now. The ice cream, is the best we've ever eaten. Also highly recommend their ice cream rolls 😋 they are so friendly, their beautiful son is a joy! We'll be back 💚

Really friendly family. I ended up going back every day for 4 days for the mango crumble with coconut ice cream. I also did the secret menu (you have to sign up the day before!) which was delicious! I had entrees I’ve never eaten before.

Incredible fresh baguette and sourdough. Top with smoked salmon, bacon, eggs, avocado or you name it. Coconut ice cream amazing as well.

Mango scramble is flawless. Delicious, amazing. They make homemade ice cream which is very tasty. A bit pricey compared to location, but definitely worth it. Also very nice people running this place. We went every time we visit old town.

We did the 3 course experience and it was the best meal/dining experience I had in Thailand after 3 weeks. The sourdough bread is also much better than any other bread I came across while there. All the cold drinks were also delicious, with some creative recipes I hadn't seen before. Really friendly family and relaxed atmosphere. Breakfasts also lovely.

Stopped in old town for a walk around the shops and bite to eat. Had two tuna and cheese on sourdough, they were absolutely incredible. So so tasty and loaded with filling. Also had a mango smoothie and an orange smoothie. Freshly made and so so delicious! This is a must visit whilst in old town! To top off the experience, we left a bag at the table (too full to remember our stuff) and the owner set off on this scooter to find us with the bag. I don’t know how but he managed to track us down at the pier!!!

Located in the center of Lanta Old Town this is an amazing place where to have breakfast (they are also open for lunch and dinner). We had avocado, mushroom and grilled tomatoes bread sandwich (homemade bread) with coffee and we liked it. Moreover, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. If you are in town stop by, you won’t regret it.

A little place in the Old town run by a wonderful Thai family. Their sourdough bagels with homemade cream cheese and salmon were delicious. Highly recommended

Adorable place to have brunch or afternoon snack. The owners are awesome people and make the vibe really friendly. The teas are high level quality as well as the sourdough. You can also draw while your order doesn’t arrive

The food here is great. I've had the dinner which you order in advance and it's amazing. Breakfast items and lunch...always perfect...and the mango crumble is a little piece of perfection.

I keep going to this place every time I came to Koh Lanta because everything was perfect for me. There’s sandwich with cheese, bacon and British sausage was amazing including mango crumble with homemade coconut ice cream. You will get the same flavor as what you had back home for the western food. The owner very was friendly.

The mango crumble is delicious and the homemade ice cream is to die for- so creamy! I came back the next day and had a bacon and cheese sandwich (actually a blt with cheese) on sourdough and it was also yummy. Everything here is homemade (including the bread) and served with love and a smile by beautiful owners- definitely recommend 🌺

One of the best ice creams of my life - creamy coconut tastes like it fell right off the tree. Wonderful Thai hospitality. Refreshing break on a hot day.

Delicious cakes and teas. We tried mango crumble with coconut ice cream and brownie with vanilla ice cream. Cakes were delicious but the ice cream was outstanding. Like this was one of the best home made icecream I had in Thailand. The cafe is family run and the service is excellent.

I wrote to the Michelin guide about this place. Does that say enough? The food is not only delicious, it is artful. All local ingredients, no single use plastic, tastefully and elegantly presented. Every aspect of the creation of every dish is meticulous. Moreover we were welcomed is if we were family, and apparently this family has been in this location for 5 generations. This place is what you look for as a food tourist. Make reservations for the mystery dinner, don’t miss out

Extremely friendly staff & nice coffee. Not many tables. Cakes looked great! You have to preorder if you want Thai food!

Highly recommended. Came without a reservation and we were lucky to get a seat. Had the pleasure of dining at @grandmashousekohlanta where you do not get to choose what to eat and it remains a mystery till it’s serve. It’s run by a couple and their adorable kid, PJ. The dishes are a reminiscent of home comfort food sourced locally. Do try if you are in Koh Lanta!

Absolutely delicious family-run restaurant in old-town Koh Lanta. Amazing sourdough and smoothies. They were all so friendly and lovely 💕 Make sure to get the mango crumble!!

One of the best meals I have ever had. We attended the mystery dinner and each plate was a feast! The owners are incredible, the food is locally sourced and they limit their use of plastic. If you are in Koh Lanta, don’t miss the opportunity to have dinner here. You need a reservation.

A lovely little family run restaurant. The owners where very kind and attentive, even recommending spots on the island for us to visit. We had brunch here with great coffee and amazing sour dough bread. This is a little gem, don’t miss it if you are in Lanta old town!
