Amazing place, great views, Historical Place well maintained preserving the feeling that you go back in time. Stay several nights with lots of things to do. If driving use small car remember you are visiting a place developed centuries ago. Looking forward to coming back staying more days having delicious ethnic food

The Parador de Arcos de Frontera is a classic Andalucia gem. Set in the centre of the historic part of town it oozes southern Spanish charm. The views of the town and the surrounding countryside from its terraces are absolutely stunning. A great place to stay!

The hotel’s staff is excellent, they have such a helping attitude that is admirable. We felt at home in a safe and beautiful setting. We will come back and we highly recommend such a pleasant place. If possible, request rooms with a view.

I don't really know how to rate this properly because the hotel is excelente but the town is probably the worst I have visited on Spain. The town is tilted , you have to walk a few minutes down to encounter everything closed, nothing opens early, nothing opens late and also they take a nap, also the cathedral is close so you can't do anything in this town except for the hotel. 4 stars on the room because we didn't like the shower, service was good but they had just a handful of workers and there were a lot of guest so everything was a little slow( but they really were high good working people), location was "excelent" like I said this is the worst town in Spain i have visited, they doesn't have parking and parking are like 10 min away, the streets are REALLY SMALL, be careful whit that, but the hotel was the highest peak with an excelent view and in the cathedral plaza, the hotel and service are excelent I just hope they fix or make more attractive the town.

Lovely traditional Parador in a typical Spanish style, staff very friendly, nice local dishes on the menu, room spacious and clean, great WiFi available. Location great for visiting old part of town but not so good to arrive at by car very very narrow streets and parking 15 minute walk away

Arcos de la Frontera is a small hill town, on top of which proudly sits Hotel Parador. This property is charming, well perched and offers old world hospitality. One thing important to note if it’s your first time at Arcos - DO NOT RELY ON GOOGLE to get you there if you’re driving to the hotel. We got stuck multiple times in narrow lanes that are no more than six feet broad. Once you enter the town, put Plaza Espana in google maps and when you reach the spot, look for the hotel’s directions. Arcos has super narrow streets that offer no scope to turn if you find yourself in the wrong direction. Most of these are one way streets, so be prepared for some adventure reaching here. Locals don’t speak English but are quite helpful.

This is a review for having lunch in the restaurant. Firstly as other reviewers have mentioned the drive up there is quite 'exciting', extremely narrow especially the tunnel through the basilica, if you have something like a Land Rover, Land Cruiser...forget it. We were a bit disappointed to have to eat lunch inside the restaurant rather than on their lovely patio with the fantastic views. Service was OK. Menu was good. Food was good. For me a one off experience, it was a nice thing to do but next time I'd try somewhere else.

Clean and spacious room overlooking the valey. Staff super friendly. To drive is not for the fainthearted, but worth it in the end. Lucky to get parking in the square. Of all the nights we spent in different paradores, this was the first time to be dissapointed with the food. Starters ok, main course ruined overcooked and dry Orange desert fabulous, but apple tart was a slice of wood with two thin slices of apple on top. Breakfast just about ok.

The best part of our stay was the friendly service and the view. While the building is beautiful; it's dark, tired and dated. For 180€ for a superior room it was missing niceties that you receive at other hotels e.g. tea/coffee/water in the room and was 50€ more than some spectacular hotels we have stayed at. The bed was hard (even by Spanish standards) and not unlike sleeping on the floor plus complemented by sad, flaccid pillows. With the combination of a hard mattress, darkness, limp pillows and bars outside the window it felt a bit like we'd been incarcerated. We paid for the breakfast buffet and it was ok- great variety but the bread and pastries were very stale.

Had a great time. But be prepared for the hardest drive up if you're staying in this hotel

If you're driving, understand that the hotel is on the very top with very narrow streets on the way. Can't beat the view though and has plenty of charm and history.

Average food. Complicated description for simple homemade meals. Ají blanco with pistachios which did not take of anything, very disappointing. The side is beautiful. The hotel in itself very welcoming and worth the stop. But meals are very so so … and the small appetizer “especialidad de la zone” is a joke to fool guiris!
