I always love to drop by BMK when I'm in Paris since the food is decent and it has a friendly, chilled vibe. There is a small but sufficient range of African dishes in the menu, with equal options for chicken, fish or vegetarian, plus one beef option. I love the traditional chicken yassa.

During our trip to Paris, we wanted to try something we could not find easily at home. We were specifically interested in trying a cuisine from the western part of Africa and were recommended BMK Paris-Bamako. The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with an olfactory orchestra of sensational spices. The place is decorated in a no-nonsense yet cosy way. The food is truly fantastic: we tried the Afro veggie tempura – which reminded me somewhat of bhaji – as well as Bamako's Yassa, and Gao's Thieb Guinar. All dishes were delightful. The latter – a take on the Thieboudienne – was my personal favourite. I can heartily recommend a visit to BMK Paris-Bamako if you're in the area, and would even recommend giving it a go if you need to travel for it.

The ambiance in the cafe was cosy and friendly, the decore was colourful and inviting. The tables arrangement invites you to be able to talk to your neighbouring table if both tables are feeling social. It was busy around 20.30 when we arrived, but the service was fast. They messed up one of our orders, but they were super nice, they gave us the the correct order and left the one we didn't order, so we had an extra free portion. The food was tasty especially the yassa with its tangy flavours. The Mafe was more earthy and subtle but very filling and satisfying on a cold evening. Over all a very pleasant experience and nice staff

Absolutely delicious! I love it here! I had the Durban vegan bowl and my husband had the Thieboudienne. When I saw the vegan bowl, I was a bit dubious and didn't expect much but it was so flavorful! The cashew hummus was great, the vinaigrette was really tasty, and all of the veg in the bowl was great. And my husband really enjoyed the fish thieb and said it was really flavorful and even enjoyed the rice, which he doesn't always at other places. Plus I love that they have a selection of African grocery items like atieke available for purchase. Ioved it and can't wait to have it again. I love restaurants like this that have tasty vegan options that aren't reliant on fake meat and other heavily processed foods. Great job! My only critique is that I personally would have liked the okra to be a bit softer and more cooked, but I think that's just a personal preference thing. I can't wait to try more items from them. Update, I've been there a few times and they're consistently good! Once i felt there wasnt enough salad dressing, but usually the portion is good, (although i like getting a little extra on the side because it's so good). But all of their vegan bowls are really tasty.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The embodiment of West African Cuisine packed with a plethora options in their menu may have you a bit overwhelmed but regardless of what you end up choosing, you won’t regret it. I got the maafe and it was so good, I wanted to buy two more plates even though I was full. If you are in Paris, I strongly urge you to visit here because it will be worth your while. The staff extremely friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing, the decor is amusing. Only thing that was missing for me was a hint of music then I’d be fully locked in. I intend to come back here with friends and family and will continue recommending it to everyone visiting Paris. Such an amazing restaurant!

When you first enter the restaurant, you notice that the mood and ambience are extremely pleasant. Beautiful colors, a good mood and fine smells. I had no experience with food from Mali. I ordered a fish dish and baked bananas. Both very excellent. Although I liked the bananas so much that I had to learn how to cook them straight away at home. And now they are one of my frequently cooked dishes. I have been and am often in Paris since I was a child. And of course you learn a lot after so many years. But BMK is one of my GO-TO addresses and also a warm recommendation to all friends who are visiting the city of wine and baguettes. Oh yeah, the juices completely blew me away too :)

Delicious food - one of very few spots in Paris where you can fina actually spicy food. I’d recommend ‘Bro from Luanda’ as my favourite dish but, honestly, you cannot go wrong there with any dish.

Such a hidden or maybe not so hidden gem. This restaurant is so special. I wish there were more opportunities to revisit. I ordered the vegan maffa with attieke as the main and allocos for app. The textures and flavours were delicious. Highly recommend visiting!!

Excellent food (we had the Yassa, Mafe, plantains, and chicken Pastels), warm ambiance, and incredibly friendly staff. The Bissap (made with hibiscus) was very refreshing. In fact, I ordered it three times! The restaurant has a lot of great organic products for sale as well. I want to come back just to do some shopping. Oh, and the playlist? Well, they played virtually all of my favorite Afrobeats songs. I forgot to ask for the playlist before I left, but the music is incredible and it’s not overbearing. You can enjoy a nice conversation without yelling across the table because they have it at the perfect volume. This restaurant gets two thumbs up from me 👍🏽👍🏽

Pretty good food but relatively basic, especially since the price is quite high compared to the quality and price of nearby competition. The setting is nevertheless quite pleasant

Absolutely warm, pleasant service with a lot of love. The food was fantastic for us! We had the vegan and meaty mafe and were very happy with it. “Starters” were honestly very large, we didn’t expect that! The dessert was to die for. All in all, a wonderful meal! If you come after 7 p.m., it's probably a good idea to make a reservation. 1 small point deducted because here, like almost everywhere in Paris, it is incredibly narrow and you are almost on your neighbors' plate. If I touch the food on the next table with my butt when I get up, it's definitely too narrow!!!!

Ordered via Ubereats. Malinese Senegalese food. Had Le Thieb Guinar de Gao and Chicken Pastei paired with strong Ginger juice. It was exquisite, if only I was in the restaurant I would ordered more. Food could be spicier in my opinion

Both the food and staff were great. Would highly recommend this place. Carla was very patient in explaining their menu, and did her best to explain in English. Would highly recommend this place if you're visiting Paris.

🌱Vegan food • I remember 3 vegan dishes: Mafé, Yassa, and the African style salad I had of which I don’t remember the name. • The menu is given in a tablet (so you clearly see pictures and descriptions too). The order is not taken with the tablet, they come to take it. • They have nice fitting background music that doesn’t disturb conversation • very comfy ambience • They sell African products there too

Starter dishes drinks desserts at the top, all that was missing was the smile of the waitresses and it would have been perfect!

I ordered the smoky mafé, with alocos appetizer, the ambiance was nice and the service was great, but the food wasn't good, the chicken was too dry the sauce was dull and lacked taste, and the rice was overcooked, in addition to that the food was served almost cold. I think this place noods to revaluate it's recipe

I ordered from them from Uber eats. The chocolate lava cake with ginger and a orangey sauce- wow most moist tasty thing I’ve had in a long time. Ordered a vegan rice dish and chicken with peanut sauce- splendid! Can taste the freshness, flavors and love in this food! Highly recommend for taste, health and culture.

Nice little food joint with hearty West African food with a chic twist. Their Yassa is very good. Portions is not really big but it's good enough.

Really nice place with great food!! Beeing early for dinner wasn't a problem either. I defently recommend to also try one of the drinks, cause they are tasting very different but great. The staff was also friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our dinner there and would totally recommand it.

I love the place. Imagine Bamako in the heart of Paris😋 and the surprise was one of the food in the menu "Bro from Luanda", Luanda a capital of Angola. This food tastes wonderful and satisfying. Now I am convinced that Paris-Bamako is one.of the best restaurants in my list.
