I have been looking forward to visiting the glass house, the fairy tale castle like home (now tourist attraction) since I heard of it years ago but wasn't until the day after traveling 4,500 km that I got to make that dream a reality!

Never heard of this place before driving past it and stopping by. It was definitely worth it! They have a tour guide to give you tons of information about the history and how the glass house came to be and about the man who built it. Very beautiful hidden gem with some neat history.

Very special house, it’s different experience and story is interesting. The gift shop is so cute, I love it. The staff is very friendly.

Absolutely stunning passion and true craftsmanship in every square inch and as far down the cliff side as we are rightfully allowed to access. The family who carries on his legacy is absolutely blessed to have this place to share. We are as lucky to have as much to see as we do. Wow! An undeniable must-visit, slowly.

Very friendly well informed guides. This is a must-see if you're in the area. Interesting tour, well worth the price.

Friendly staff. Love that it is still owned and operated by members of the original family. My group of Girl Guides enjoyed their visit and appreciated that they allowed us to stay while we enjoyed a picnic luncheon on their grounds.

Best place to check out of you are in the area. You get a short 5-10 minute tour of the house (well, you go into the main entry, can see the main bedroom and living room before going into the kitchen and leaving). But honestly, the house is cool, but I preferred walking around the gardens around it. It's more like a little castle and you get to explore the area yourself. It's very pretty and if I were to go again (I don't think I would, once is enough for me), if bring a book, find one of their benches in the shade, and just relax in the garden. Was only $10 per adult and $5 pet kid.

Visited here in summer on the way to Crawford Bay. Right on the highway and not to be missed. Not very expensive. Good to know the history and harwork behind this glasshouse. Tour guides were kind , friendly and informative. Roadside parking is available

Had a great visit and the hosts here were fantastic. Even had a guided tour of the house. Gardens were great too!

I visited here back in the 60's, about 10 years after the owner completed the place. Still worth a look, given the backstory of what to do with 600,000 used embalming fluid bottles. Not much has changed since then, maybe a little more worn around the edges. Still in the same family and they actually stay there on occasion. Whimsical outside decorations, killer views of the lake.

Interesting 30 minute stop. Well maintained historic site with beautiful gardens. Pleasant staff, a brief guided tour then self guided. Requires some “surefootedness” as walking paths are all stone and on some slope.

The house is very beautiful and unusual! The most with children! And of course adults will love it. Made with love inside. And what a view of the lake from the balcony is generally beautiful 🥰. Everything is clean and the guide explains well too 👍🏻. But one small minus the staff girl always followed us when we ourselves wanted to look inside or take a picture. yes, they are probably afraid that people will spoil or steal. But I would like without it. and everything is cool 👍🏻 Beautiful photos guaranteed! 👌🏻✊🏻

Absolutely wonderful little piece of history! This was such a cool sight and beautiful gardens and view as well. Don't drive past this, stop in and see it! The lady running the souvenir shop was very informative and made sure we understood the ferry schedule to keep our trip moving forward without any issues!

Very cool place, definitely worth the drive. I'm amazed at the work that went into this old house. The view is amazing as well.

This is a very interesting stop. We enjoyed the tour by the builders granddaughter. The structures are made of discarded embalming bottles.

Love this incredibly unique structure! Cylinder buildings made from embombing bottles? Unbelievable. Breathtaking views, too!

Unique and interesting place. Beautiful setting. Worth the $10 entrance fee for a short informative tour.
