This is such an environmentally significant location that it seemed awe inspiring to stand on this point on our planet. The continental divide is a longitudinal landmark which indicates the change in direction of natural water flow. All water systems such as rivers, creeks and streams west of this line flow towards the Pacific Ocean. All water systems east of here flow towards the Atlanta Ocean. There is a clearly marked pull off spot with plenty of free parking right off Hwy 1 in the Kootney National Park B.C.

This is a such place of scientific value and marked as a stamp on my travel-log. I have no idea there is this sign and with so much content to read and to understand. Fun to have a stop here to gain valuable knowledge. Worth visit.

Cool little pit stop for those who like to say, "I have been in 2 places at once!" Great photo opportunity, and there are also toilets here which are well stocked with toilet roll and hand sanitiser.

Such a wonderful visit despite our reason for being there. We only happened upon it by chance as the road we needed was closed. This was a delightful surprise and learning point for the kids. Saw a lot of people stopping to have their photos taken.

This rest stops, although it seems like a normal reststop, but it has great geographical importance. It's the Continental divide also dividing two national parks, Kootenay NP and Banff NP. It was pretty much empty when we got there. It has garbage disposal and bathroom and signage showing the Continental Divide. Nice little place to take a quick bathroom break, walk the dog, or just stretch legs.

Not a great deal to see, but has some minor geographical interest. Stone and sign to pose for photos at. Good sized vehicle parking area.

The fact is interesting but there is not much to see here. Please see the picture. That is all (and a washroom)

Safe and right off the highway. Easy to locate. Signage a little worn but still legible and viewed in photos. Information plaques are available. A very cool place to quickly visit.

👍👍 Stunning trail. The marking of the trail get squirrelly at the end but enjoy this hike.
