Came here with a few friends. Reservations are definitely recommended as this is a trendy place. The dinner itself was good. Food was fresh, chef came around to say hi and check on us, wine was reasonably priced, etc. The only downside is that the host is in charge of seating guests, bringing menus over, explaining the specials, taking your order and recommending wines... Seems like he is overwhelmed and it takes longer to get your order in and get your food. It took us over two hours to eat our shared dishes tapas style. I think they should share responsibility, take the order faster and keep an eye on the timing.

When you enter Barra y Mantel you enter an urban jungle. The decoration is beautiful and the service is outstanding. The menu has a wide range of dishes that are suitable for all. We had an perfect red wine with our delicious meat. Don't forget to try the salpicon de pulpo and the canelones! I highly recommend to go here and enjoy a perfect food experience.

I really love this place, it is really good food’s quality and a nice service, the decoration is also good and warm! Nice to go there in every visit to Madrid!

Best chuleton I've had so far. 45 days dry aged. The stuffed chipiron with sobresada was amazing too

This spot is absolute gold. Quality control, obsession with product/experience, and dish creativity don’t even scratch the surface. We sat at the bar and had the Caesar tacos and Paris steak- I have no idea how this place is short of 5 stars for anyone who went. The whole staff is obsessed with making every detail perfect (even for patrons who didn’t make a reservation and ended up at the bar). Thank you to the team here- we can’t wait to come back.

One word: Fantastic! Top place serving top food managed by top people! The prices are a little on the higher end, but its worth it! Always a pleasure to be here!

We had new year in this restaurant. I need to tell you that it was bloody expensive for a set menu (160€PP) which wasn’t tasty at all. Only good thing was the waitress who served us.

Nicely decorated restaurant. This part of the city is very nice and there are many elegant and beautiful shops around. Feels posh. The food was good, not outstanding but perhaps I just wasn't very hungry as I had eaten so much that day. You know what they say hunger is the best spice. The service was attentive although a little bit slow but friendly.\ They offered a complimentary starter of cauliflower cream which was very good,

Low quality food. We paid 13 Euros for the worst patatas bravas injave ever had in my life. They were stale and had no flavour. We also ordered alcachofas, pulpo and steak which were all well below average and not at all worth it. Really regret wasting time and money at this place.

I visited alone and sat at the bar (they did not seem very favorable to me sitting anywhere else, even if they offered). Ensaladilla and croquetas de jamón were nice, even if not that special, and maybe a bit too expensive for the size and quality of the dishes. Atmosphere was lively, maybe a bit conservative, as expected in this area. Service was poor, at least if you come here by yourself, as waiters don’t seem to listen to you at all (I had to ask for the bill three times). Most probably I won’t be coming back
