#55 Follow my Michelin Stars Marathon in Paris A brasserie that is not shy to offer classics in a palace. The great thing here is that it’s one of the very few étoilés where you can have «true » French classics. There’s a very strong tradition in France : The Sunday roasted chicken. Every French family will have a roasted chicken on Sunday. Ask around, it’s very old school but very traditional. Some may do it monthly or less but the tradition is strong. Hence, it’s extremely dangerous for a restaurant to have it on its menu. Every French father is a specialist and will tell you how it was done from generations in his family, and how it should be done! And yet, despite this enormous pressure, here you can have this monument of the French gastronomy! Well, you should have one. This is a great opportunity. It was superb (and I’m French, I do mine, my father did etc…). Also I comes with mushrooms (cèpes) that people would beg for! Simply for this it deserves its star. The crowd was business and upscale. You’re eating at the Bristol, what would you expect ? My experience: I’m still dreaming of the cèpes with the chicken ! Update 2022: went back for the chicken ! I know I should I’ve tried something but simply can’t resist. Crowd was business and palaces goers. The staff was as nice as the last time.

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant with impeccable food, romantic ambience and excellent service! We had a wonderful time and a very sweet memorable dinner in this esteemed restaurant! Every thing was finely prepared with a good wine list and every dish clearly explained . Must come back and visit again when the pandemic is over ! Well done 114 Faubourg !

I am really apologetic about leaving this review, but it is an honest one. I dined here in November and opted for their 10 year anniversary menu degustation. In terms of positives, the service from beginning to end was extraordinary and fitting of their Michelin star. I was very impressed by the attitude of the host and servers throughout my experience. The restaurant was beautifully decorated as well, with a gorgeous spiral staircase and view of the kitchen. Unfortunately, this was where the negatives began. I sincerely did not enjoy the experience. I walked in with reasonable expectations but nearly every dish was overly salted and not reflective of the quality I expected. I notified my server and they seemed quite apologetic; they had noted that they informed the kitchen and my subsequent courses would reflect my feedback. However, the remainder of my courses were similarly oversalted. It was such a shame, because many courses such as the scrambled eggs with lobster had such potential. The overuse of foie gras in multiple courses resulted in the overall experience to be overbearing-- the flavours were so heavy and overdone. For almost all dishes, there was such lack of depth in flavour because every course seemed to be one-dimensional and so heavily focused on heavy, savory elements with nothing to cut through them. This was an ongoing theme I felt throughout the entire gastronomic experience. The restaurant also deviated from the anniversary menu that I selected, for reasons unbeknownst to me. The pigeon and foie gras in a cereal crust was almost completely inedible to me, to the point where I was nauseous. Out of everything I ate that night, I will comment that the bread service was absolutely out of this world and spectacular. The butter was some of the best I've ever had, in Paris or anywhere else. The dessert was also light and fresh, beautifully presented, and was a welcome change from the previous courses. Strangely enough, I also felt multiple times throughout the night that one or two chefs in the kitchen kept staring up at me for an extended period of time for unknown reasons, as I was seated in full view of the kitchen. This occurred after I notified the server that the dishes were overly salted. I am not sure if they thought I was a reviewer but these were just my genuine feelings about their menu degustation. As a disclaimer, all thoughts about the experience consider the price of the experience to determine if it was "worth it" or not. Personally, I would skip and look elsewhere. Every corner of Paris is filled with wonderful gastronomic offerings.

Absolutely delicious food. My wife and I both enjoyed our tasting menus. No dish was lackluster. Each had its own taste and was prepared to perfection. To top it all off, the chocolate dessert was excellent. The service was friendly, from the doormem to the hosts to the wait staff. The price was fair given the quality of the food.

Excellent experience as usual for a Michelin starred restaurant. Came here with 2 buddies while in town for TDF 🇫🇷 2023. We ordered the 5 course dinner tasting. The food was wonderfully prepared and came out delicious. The service was great and evening was very enjoyable. Juliet the server was very polite and patient in explaining some the dishes to us.

Excellent service. Delicious food. However, I’d put a slight music on the back as we came for Xmas night, but during other days it’s fine. We also took 2 bottles of champagne (Pierre Peters and Pierre Moncuit 2005, both blanc de blanc) which were excellent and rich in taste, I recommend them instead of well-known brands. Definitely will come back :)

It was an experience I’d never regret! The food price is relatively high indeed here, but totally worth it. The waiters were very friendly, they would check (but indeed not too often) on your table if anything is needed or you are happy with the food and would offer free tab water if you would not like water from bottle. I took the usual menu, and asked to change one starter and the desert. They kindly accepted after checking with the chef. The wines were fine and good. The food tasting experience was amazing! Something you cannot find so easily at this price. The timing between meals was also nearly perfect. The ambience was really nice and enjoyable too. Maybe out of 5 course only a part of one course wasn’t pleasant for me to eat and it was mainly because I didn’t pay attention to the first ingredient and later realized the meal contained a meat type that I feel very uncomfortable to eat. But overall I’d love to repeat this experience. I’d hope you try this place… It will make your day…

Fantastic dining experience ! Went to 114 for our last dinner in France before heading back to HK and found a gem ! The food is exactly was we love : Perfectly executed dishes with a focus on the product itself. The service is top notch without being too "up tight" : We often feel a bit of an heavy atmosphere in starred places in France in general. Not at all the case @ 114 : You can have a decent chat with the staff. The wine selection is good with some premium selection by the glass as well. Will go again.

I don’t even know where to begin. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Our server was the best: friendly and so courteous. The food was incredible. I have never in my life tasted food this wonderful. My taste buds were the happiest they’ve ever been. If I had to pick just one place to eat, this would be it, over and over again. Thank you all at 114 Faubourg for making this experience what will always be one of my most memorable ever!

Outstanding. The food is excellent as you’d expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. As we’re the service and ambience. We both ordered the fixed price offering. The scrambled eggs with lobster dish (my description isn’t good) was probably the best thing we’ve eaten in Paris. It is very expensive, but you know that coming in. Highly recommend.

Incredible 30th Anniversary dinner at this restaurant. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and attentive especially our waitress Juliette. Everything we ate or drank was extremely top notch. Very highly recommend.

Excellent experience, as always at le bristol. Perfectly stricken balance between the casual cool of a French brasserie and the poise and refinement of a Michelin starred restaurant. I was very impressed by how vegetarian and vegan friendly the menu was, something I wouldn’t typically expect from a Michelin star restaurant. The servers were all warm and welcoming, like all of the staff at le bristol, and the sommelier was very knowledgeable. I usually hate soup but the artichoke soup I had as an amuse-bouche changed my mind. Sadly I didn’t take any photos but the food was delicious, and if you are sat downstairs you can see the food being prepared in the kitchen (or you can catch a glimpse on the way to the bathrooms). Perfect elegant atmosphere, much more informal than epicure but just as elegant and inviting.

Amazing food and such impeccable service. We walked in without a reservation and the whole staff were so lovely and welcoming. We tried the tasting menu, which was really fun. The standout for me was the lobster in scrambledeggs, but all the other dishes were delicious. Will definitely make trip back next time!

Last 5 days we've been at 5 different Michelin restaurants in Paris and this one was the best one of these by far. Very very very good service by the servants and very excellent food experience. Also allergy friendly. :)

It was really an excellent experience to have dinner last night at 114! I love everything in the tasting menu especially the artichoke soup! The service is also excellent! Thanks a lot for the arrangement of drawing plate to celebrate my first time Michelin experience. Good job to Paul, Baptiste, Serge, and Mathis for their professionalism. Also thanks a lot Mr. Jeanne for all the setting.
