What an amazing hostel! I wish i could have stayed longer. The owner, Gabriel is so kind and warm. The volunteers here are also very helpful and welcoming. It’s a very peaceful place with lots of nature and animals. They have a pet horse and two dogs that are so sweet. It is a little away from town, but they have breakfast and dinner that you can sign up for. I am a solo female traveler and really enjoyed the communal dinners where you can meet other travelers. The food is also very healthy with lots of vegetables! They make a fire at night which was super cozy to sit around. I definitely recommend this place! I didn’t get a chance, but I heard the horseback riding is a must!

Ohhhhhh Yambolombia. It's the sort of place you book for a couple of days and end up extending again and again. A good 2km or so out of Salento was perfect. A beautiful 25 min walk to town or to nearby coffee farms. The property is gorgeous with stunning views and the most wonderful hostel horse, Campanita! Great vibes. The owners are so wonderful and helpful and they welcome you with open arms. Affordable vegetarian breakfast and dinner and amazing vegan cakes and delicious fresh sourdough!!!!! Free tea and coffee all day, lots of communal space. Also yoga classes if you would like and they'll organize the most mind-blowing horseback riding tour you never knew you needed. This place is not one you will forget and if you're into a wholesome alternative vibe this is the Salento experience you're looking for! Love and light 💓

One of my favorite hostels I’ve been to, ever. The beds are huge and comfortable, the breakfast is to die for and the owners and their employees and volunteers are just so lovely. We really loved the vibe and the people and especially their pet horse who just chills around the hostel. We really enjoyed that the place was a little bit further away from the busy town. This place feels like home and we can highly recommend. Thanks guys, Lisa and Glenn

One of the best hostels I have been to in Colombia! Located 20mins outside of Salento, this hostel is the perfect place to relax and take in the surrounding nature! Special thanks to the owners who were really great people

This is the place to be if you are in need of healing - either physically or emotionally. Both the owners are incredible humans with enormous empathy, philosophy, and overall good to be around. The facilities work well and you can be guaranteed to have the basics available.

It's probably a nice place if you're travelling alone and want to meet other hikers/cyclists to hang out with and you have time to enjoy the big garden. The other guests seemed happy, so it seems fair to mention this. It was for sure not the best choice for us since we stayed just one night after visiting the coffee fincas and our priority was to rest and sleep. There were people chatting loudly and making noise in the kitchen next to the room until midnight and from 5 am in the morning and not even ear plugs could help. The bed was also not comfortable and cleaning needs some improvement. We were probably not the right target.

Absolutely the best experience we could ask for. Gabriel and the staff are so lovely and fun. The hospitality is great and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The hostel is a 30mins walk from the center but it has an amazing and unique view, and you have breakfast and a yoga space in the property. The staff also calls a taxi for you anytime for 15k COP. A truely quiet and charm experience

Maybe the best hostel i have been to. A lot of space, good vibe, the owner and the staff are super friendl and helpful. Super clean also. It is a bit of a walk to salento (30 mins), but its worth it. Very quiet and has an amazing view. Yogastudio and a place for arts and crafts is abailable. Breakfast extremely good, also very good coffee and tea 24/7. When we were there there was no lunch or dinner, but the kitchen is freee to use, or just go to the city (jeep/taxi 10-15k pesos) Gracias por todo!!

Honestly, I can't understand why the hostel is so well rated. The staff was really nice and the breakfast was very tasty. The location is also quite cool, because the hostel is located a bit outside and you therefore have a lot of peace. However, there are also very many negative aspects (we were in a single room): - Our mattress was probably older than my grandpa. It was incredibly worn out - Our bathroom had some holes or openings in the roof/wall, which is why we constantly had all the bugs and mosquitoes in the room. - The shower was cold on some days - Breakfast cost 15,000 pesos instead of the stated 7000 pesos, which is still cheap, but still double the stated price in HW - A tour to the national park is also not (more) offered and one is referred to the local providers I think for 1-2 days the hostel is quite recommendable. However, we would no longer stay there.

had the most amazing stay - the space is obviously beautiful, the animals are such a lovely touch, delicious and generous breakfast, everyone working there is so lovely and have many many tips about the local area, walking distance to Salento up a picturesque road, lots to do nearby e.g. horse riding, coffee fincas, Cócora valley etc…seriously cant recommend enough!!!

Best stay of our lives. It's going to be very hard to compete with this place. As soon as you arrive, you are welcomed with enlightening vibes! Probably the best host you will get too.

The best hostel in Salento. Especially if you are looking for relaxation. Thank you.

The vibe here is it. Friendly staff, open spaces, and beautiful scenery. I think the place could benefit from a well-enforced quiet hours policy (even with earplugs, I heard ppl in the common spaces at night and early in the morning). But it was nice to walk to/from Salento and the coffee farms to get to Yambolombia. Would definitely recommend. Oh, and the WiFi signal was strong everywhere on the property. And the beds were the softest I had in Colombia. The showers, however, were not hot when I had one.

I loved everything about Yambolombia: the location, the people I met, the staff, the food, the animals (I love Campanita the horse), the recommendations, etc. But guys, the mold! I stayed in two rooms, and both were completely covered in mold. We would wake up feeling pretty sick from this. I hope they fix this soon because it’s such an incredible place to stay otherwise.

What should I say, Gabriel and his team offer a family atmosphere from day 1, they cook amazing vegan food, the entire place is beautifully decorated. You feel that this has been built and is run with love and passion. Thank you for your hospitality. Make sure to let campanita when you visit. Only downside I'd say is the rather remote location, but that also makes it a very quite and beautiful place.

The finca is so beautiful. It is a calm place where you can relax in the hammocks and enjoy the rest view over the coffee plantations. The breakfast is so good and the people are so nice there. The have a horse which is just walking around in the garden and two dogs. Best place in Salento to stay. :)

Awesome hostel just outside of town in a wonderful secluded spot. The hostel has extensive grounds, complete with hammocks and tables, carefully situated for a lovely view. The common areas are very comfortable, and there is tea and coffee available all day. Most importantly, the whole hostel is really quiet and relaxing. The rooms are spacious and fairly comfortable, although in our room the mattress could do with being replaced. The showers have hot water, too, which is not to be taken for granted in Colombia! This wasn't the cleanest place I have ever stayed, but that didn't bother me too much. If you've read this far, the hostel's horse, Campanita, loves a mane scratch!

This place is a must if you're interested in a clean, peaceful and quite place to stay, hosts are super kind and they adapt to fit your necessities, they serve veggie food. It's about a mile away from Salento.

I read my journal from a year ago while I was there. I sat outside of the hostel and looked at clouds, horses, trees, etc. This place is ideal for someone who wants to go somewhere quiet and away from the crowd. However, be aware that it is a trek from the bus station and other major sites. The owner is a very charming and interesting dude. It was not easy to communicate but it worked out fine.

The location is amazing , the building is beautiful, with a lot of personal effort, the food was homemade and veggie, with Fereira making the best bread and cakes in Colombia, but the most important was the people, Gabriel and Ferreira are ready to share with you, they make us feel like home and of course we end up stay longer. Always in my heart!! All the best for your beautiful life!! Waiting for you in Greece! Hasta la proxima!!!

😐 We came here for a basic coffee tour which was still more expensive than other tours in the area that we enjoyed a little more. But it is interesting to see a larger scale operation. The tour guides all speak perfect English and it's a nice experience with picking coffee beans which is a nice touch....
