I would highly recommend going here. The man working here was so friendly and helpful and seemed to really enjoy interacting with tourists. He quickly helped us organize a homestay which was one of the highlights of our trip.

In general they are doing great things and you can not come to Kyrgyzstan without going to Arslanbob!

Arslanbob is a beautiful and relaxed place. Definitely recommend. Our CBT arranged guesthouse (homestay number 10) was reasonably priced and overall nice. However, the evening before we checked out we got a laundrybill of 32USD. Since we usually payed around 5-10$ for a similar handwash this felt quite like a scam. We could bargain just a bit (with help of our cbt contactperson), a rather bitter aftertaste for a fantastic couple of days remained.

The stay was ok but the food wasnt great and felt little unhygenic

I stayed at a pleasant guest house with a nice house and garden. The food was nice and the price was ok, but the family was a bit odd. Hayat was very unfriendly when we told him we already had a place booked. He talked about putting money in the community, but isn't the place we booked also part of the community? The place we booked was more affordable and the CBT prices seem a little inflated as well. I wonder if his attitude influences others in Arslanbob because we were confronted by someone when doing a hike to the Holy Rock. He questioned us about what we were doing, why we dont have a guide, etc, all in an unfriendly manner. It was an easy hike to navigate using a map so a guide wasn't necessary. I still recommend visiting Arslanbob, but just beware of the price gouging and potentially bad attitude you might receive.

Hiyat is fantastic! I recommend going to the CBT office and choosing a homestay here rather than booking because there are more options and the guesthouses will keep more of the money.

I had a great experience here. We went horseriding on nice calm horses, a beautiful route. The guide was excellent. Spoke the local language as well as english and french. He showed us beautiful places and explained about the culture and history of the place. We had an amazing lunch with plenty of fresh and delicious food. After that we stayed the night with a homestay family in house 8, which was amazing. A nice shower and toilet, great, homecooked food, a clean house and nice warm beds. The owner speaks english very well also, which is rare in this area. The price is also very nice and reasonable. 10 out of 10, would definately reccomend.
