😠 Went for a drink at midnight with 2 girlfriends. We were warned at the door that the clocks had gone forward so therefore it would be closing shortly so we said we just wanted one drink and will leave. We were seated and we ordered our drinks. Then we were told that there is a minimum charge of 25jd... People often mention cocktails, good, told, great,

Went for a drink at midnight with 2 girlfriends. We were warned at the door that the clocks had gone forward so therefore it would be closing shortly so we said we just wanted one drink and will leave. We were seated and we ordered our drinks. Then we were told that there is a minimum charge of 25jd per head. We explained that we hadn't been told of this at the door and it would be unfair for us to pay it considering they were close to closing and we just wanted one drink and to leave. We asked for the manager and he insisted that we pay 25jd each or leave. We were shocked at this treatment especially to 3 ladies at the end of the night. We left immediately extremely disappointed and embarrassed by the treatment. Very shocked at such bad customer treatment. The manager should be reprimanded by the owner for sure!

Situated down the side alley behind the hotel and Irish Pub you will find “Off the Record”- Hands down the best bar in town if you like great cocktails, bartenders who know what they are doing, a great atmosphere , and some of the best small plate food around. (The Avocado Crab). The dimly lit speak easy if a perfect setting for pre-dinner , post dinner ,or just a place to sit all night with some of you coworkers or a special someone. Apparently it is only open during the winter months which is unfortunate . So there are some downsides. Everyone in Jordan smokes which means everyone in this bar smokes and the ventilation is not so great , so be prepared to smell like smoke when you leave and enjoy everyone else’s cigarettes for them . The prices are high. - to high . This is clearly done to focus on a particular clientele, but at some point I’d rather just fly to NYC to have a $20 drink. lastly there is some inconsistency about treatment. While the place wants to style itself as an exclusive venue, the manner in which the doormen and managers engage is hit or miss. I have had little trouble but usually it takes a discussion to enter the bar which is at the time of my arrival virtually empty . I understand reservations , but accommodating guests is what will buy loyalty . Not a good location for kids.

Amazing speakeasy style bar with exceptional food. There's nothing like it in Amman, it has such a hip 1930 prohibition style feel to it with great house cocktails. A must see if you can get in!

I loved the atmosphere and the drinks were decently priced and tasted good. My one qualm was with the service; bartender told us it was last call (12:20), but they closed at 1. Then 15 minutes later a group of men came in and the bartender served them. Very unfair. Menu looked delicious and unique but the kitchen was closed when we got there.

Service was very unfriendly. We felt like a burden in the empty place. The cocktails were okay, but the food was highly overpriced and not completely freshly made. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Arrived just past 11, beautiful interior, place was empty and music was off. Greeted by a rude staff member that seemed to be unhappy with our arrival. Asked about food and was rudely told that the kitchen was closed, as if we had inconvenienced him by asking a question that we somehow should have known the answer to. (The hours of operation and kitchen times don't seem to be available online.) It did not seem like our presence was wanted at all. Cocktails, however, were great, and another staff member offered us some nuts to nibble on. When other patrons arrived, music was put on. Overall nice bar, but an upmarket place like this needs much better service.

A truly excellent cocktail lounge. It was a surprise to find original cocktails in Jordan. The atmosphere can’t be beat. Book ahead if you plan on going on weekends.

Really liked the atmosphere, drinks and food were very good. Service was very good. However a huge disappointment was when the bill came. When we first arrived my colleague asked about Happy Hour. He was told drinks were 50% off during Happy Hour. However, when the bill came we were told Happy Hour was only 25% off drinks. Big difference, and a Huge disappointment.

Awesome wine-local and imported. Both are reasonably priced and I like the speakeasy type feel. The only downside is that there is smoking in bar:(.

👍👍 Original & delicious! Very good place to come for local food. Place is a bit rough on the corners, but food is excellent. Falafel was best, they do it fresh on-site. Service is there just to get you food- on the rude side but efficient and everything works. Great experience!😊

👍👍 This place does not need reviews, it’s a place you just have to go to whenever in Amman full-stop, no two ways about it! An almost religious act. They only serve lamb shawarma, super fast, little to no waiting time. Very unique taste.
