    Historic River of the Owerri people. Flows across some parts of the Capital city. The dredging activities ongoing have somewhat brought about siilting and jeopardized its regular glow at various points. The economic viability is also affected by the unprofessional dredging activities.

    Nworie River is one of the popular rivers in Imo state. I observe that that there's serious land degradation at various region of the river which calls for immediate government intervention for land reclamation. Also, various regions of the river are very dangerous because they're hiding area of bad gangs who are capable of robing and molesting any body who walked through those area. Therefore avoid that area, if you must go, walk in group. Thanks
