This was our first dinner in Greece. We stumbled upon this place and said “let’s try it out” and turns out it set the bar extremely high for the rest of the trip and we kept comparing other traditional Greek food but couldn’t find anything better, so 2 weeks later after traveling to other islands, we came back for our last dinner in Greece. Very well priced, attentive service, and the food must be prepared by a bunch of grandmothers in the kitchen. All the food was amazing, beet salad, beef stew, mussels; but the Mousakas was no question the best we had in Greece. 10/10 will recommend and return!!

Get the moussaka. Very simple. You go there, eat the moussaka, pay, and go out happy. As a tourist I've only tried 3 moussakas at different places, but this one is the best by far. Very solid, strong and powerfully taste in a good way. Would go again next time in Athens for sure!

We enter this restaurant after a very hot morning walking in Athens at 42 degrees. It was as we had a Nirvana. Hopefully the food is very very good. The moussaka is delicious and very light. The pork chops very tastes. We ate very well. They have only 2 white wines in caraffe and some red wine. I got a very nice white. Enjoy

The service is excellent. I ordered a salad and moussaka plus half lt of wine. They put the ingredients of Greek salad in a tomato which was very cute and different. Moussaka was tasty! I went on a Wednesday night and there was a live performance on 1st floor, traditional Greek music! I love it.

Super delicious Greek food served in small plates which was ideal for sharing. Really friendly waiters and everything we ordered was cooked so nicely. Highly recommend the moussaka and Greek salad (which came in a massive tomato stuffed with cucumber and feta cheese!)

Wonderful restaurant food and service! We came back for dinner two nights in a row the food was so good. A lot of outdoor seating next to large orange trees and jasmine vines. We had the mussels, best I have ever eaten in my life - full of flavor! Great house red wine, arugula salad was amazing and very fresh. Went both nights without a reservation in late October. Neighborhood is great to walk around after dinner and grab a cocktail. Highly recommend!

We had our first dinner in Athens at Stou Mama and set the bar high for the rest of our trip. There were only a few tables inside, placed far from each other which has made our experience better during a pandemic. Our favourite dish was the beet salad. We also received a complimentary mastic liqueur in the end which added one more thing to my shopping list before we leave, delicious!

So far the best Greek restaurant in Athens. Traditional taste restructured in modern cuisine, genuine and tasty ingredients, a good choice of organic wines matching with the mains, delicious and light desserts... This is the second time we are coming here to have dinner and it has been again a fantastic experience. The service is at the top, warming staff and excellent quality/price rate, still hesitating? If you agree that the cuisine is a pathway to dive into a culture, do not pass by Stou Mamma!!

The moussaka was the best we had in Greece. Also the other dishes were lovely, traditional greek with some modern twists. The prices are really reasonable and the interior is nice. I recommend this place for a nice dinner!

Absolutely delicious dinner. I would go back just for the eggplant dish, but everything was very good. So happy that this was our first dinner in Athens.

We had a lovely evening at Stou Mamma. We sat just outside the restaurant, it would probably be nicer on the other side of the road or inside due to passing vehicles. The moussaka and stuffed aubergine were both delicious. The mushroom starter was tasty but a bit too much sauce and the prawns weren't as impressive as the old review photos suggested (smaller and out of shell) but the feta sauce was fantastic if you like feta.

We had a really nice and authentic dinner here with the family. The service was outstanding and really attentive. We can highly recommend to come here!

One of my favorite places in that short period in Athens. We‘re no big eaters, and the menu full of amazing starters was the ideal place to try Greek delicacies. We had the spicy pork stew, the shrimp saganki and the eggplant salad, all served with tasty toasted bread. I can absolutely recommend if you are looking for a higher end Greek experience! Though the prices are still absolutely reasonably, especially including the friendly staff. The location is also amazing, located on the side of a busy street, which was immediately much calmer… in front of a church.

We went here on 12/23 looking for a place with nice salads, since we ate too much for lunch. Not only were their salads everything we were looking for, the staff was very friendly and let us know about their Christmas Eve dinner with live music for the next day. We really liked the taste of the food and decided to visit again for Christmas Eve; this time with empty stomachs. I’m glad to say this was an amazing decision; every dish was exquisite and we had an overall amazing experience. Definitely the highlight of our time in Greece and one of the best restaurants we went to during our time in Europe. We will definitely be going again the next time we are in Athens. Love from Japan!!!

What an incredible experience! The food at Stou Mamma was absolutely impeccable from start to finish, particularly the beetroot salad! Excellent and friendly service (including a shot of their homemade ouzo on the house) made for a wonderful way to start my holiday in Greece :) Cannot recommend enough!

Such a cute little restaurant - we sat out in the courtyard, which was lovely in the evening. The fried zucchini and beet salad were so delicious - as well as the meatballs! But the standout was the baklava ice cream dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive - would highly recommend!

You know a restaurant is good when it has only a few dishes. Screw all those places with pasta and pizza dishes along with their "traditional authentic" Greek food. This is the stuff, and the staff is very friendly, and the prices aren't bad at all. I spent 20€ for an fried cheese appetizer, moussaka and drink.

Incredible spot for outstanding Greek food - each dish is delicious, from the mussels to the saganaki to the beetroot salad to the Stou Mamma salad to even the Tzatziki, is incredible. The only disappointment was the grilled octopus, which was really small for its price. Other than that, an outstanding meal and will definitely be back!

I had a very pleasant dinner with my family here. The food was very tasty and well presented. The location is nice and the service was quick, attentive and kind. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food. I hope to be back soon, well done! :)

Amazing food at very fair prices. Easily the best restaurant in Athens. It's so good that we ate here every night could. The spicy stew is delicious and perfectly portioned. The baklava with ice cream is incredible!

I absolutely enjoyed our dinner here. The staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed/wanted. The food was incredible. I will say that some of the servings can be small which caught us off guard but that gave us the chance to try a couple more dishes on the menu that we were thinking about. The restaurant nearby had someone playing music which was a nice ambience especially while sitting outside. Our waitress even started to dance to one of the songs. Will definitely be coming back when we are in Athens again.

Not sure if they were having an off night? The stuffed tomato was super cold and tasteless, the saddest tomato I’ve ever come across in Greece. The beet salad and cheese saganaki were okay, nothing special. The moussaka was solid. Don’t bother with the wines -flabby and tasteless, stick to spirits. A bit disappointing given the great reviews.

Cute little restaurant! We had the grilled pansetta, Greek meatballs and my partner also had the baked lamb. Along with a huge portion of fries, this was more than enough! Reasonably priced, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Very good food, atmosphere and service. We did not like the fried zucchini since it was shredded into very thing slices and when fried it got very dry. The waiter noticed that we did not eat from the dish and listened to our opinion then very kindly told us he will not put it on our bill. This shows that this business cares about costumer satisfaction, I respected that a lot. The Imam was very tasty and dressing of the fried saganaki was so good.

Geschmacklich gut und preislich im Anbetracht der Portionsgröße etwas teurer. Es schmeckt aber fantastisch. Ich kann das Lamm sehr empfehlen. Es befindet in einer Seitengasse und liegt somit recht ruhig.

We found this hidden jewel in a little alley in the Psyri neighbourhood. We had Moussaka and Imam which were both delicious. The ambiente was authentic and the service very friendly. We can definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to taste good Greek cuisine at an affordable price.

09/2023 vacation trip to Athens best food I ever had I stay for 3 nights and went to dinner 2 times to this place. I recommend this place to everybody. From the service to the environment and the food everything is 100%!!! My god I can’t tell you how much I like this place moussaka the drinks my god prices are fair Party of 4 food out of this world

We found this small and cosy restaurant during our short stay in Athens, looking for a place to take dinner. I’ve searched on Google Maps for some close restaurants and this one caught my attention. From the other reviews and photos i said we have to try and how lucky we were! The staff is so nice and warm, always trying to make your stay as nice as possible. The food...very good and nicely plated. Definetly looks like a familiar place where people gather and share good food. I don’t want to spoil the surprise so you better try it and see for yourself.

Saw this restaurant on Google before our trip to Athens and had my Greek friend help me reserve us a table for 40 hungry students! They came up with a fantastic sharing menu that exceeded all of my expectations and it was a great way to introduce us to authentic Greek cuisine by trying a bit of everything. A spectacular way to end our first day in Athens! Definitely give Stou Mamma a go! Everyone who worked there was so friendly, impeccable service and the food was absolutely fantastic. Our vegetarian students ate very well too which made me very happy because that was one thing I was worried about. Safe to say we're all very full now. Thank you for feeding us all so well 💐🤍

Really a perfect choice for well priced amazing food. We ordered eggplant, pork stew and moussaka. All were high quality and recommendable. The server was extremely personable and the atmosphere was cozy. Only good things to say about this place!
