One of the famous bakery chain in Colombo. I liked their short eats and bakery items. Quality is ok. But bit expensive compare to other bakeries. Small and clean place. I think only takeaway for now. Available in ubereats. Recommended.

All the cakes they sell are spoiled and they keep all old cakes in the freezer and resell. When complain, they just exchanged. Will never ever recommend Green Cabin 🤮

Worst lamp rice ever. It took more than 1.45 minutes to deliver from Uber. Placed the order from the Mount branch. The rice was stale and was reopened and fried again. The chicken was black cus it was burnt and spoiled. There was no one to complaint at the end called the Vishaka road branch . Never ever wanna buy again. Shame on a restaurant that’s been there for ages that treats the customers by giving stale food

The quality of food items have really dropped Purchased an yule log cake and it had mold formed in it, it was returned after we complained a few times (this was a few months back) Today I purchased 2 lumprais portions ,received lumprais portions that were frozen and still cold and not fresh at all, when I inquired they only give frozen lumprais now which is very funny since it's supposed to be a freshly served dish. Did not accept a return when inquired they simply asked us to microwave and eat, only accepted return in the form of purchasing something of the same value. Even the banana leaf used to wrap the food is very very old brown in colour, can tell the lumprais has been reheated and frozen many times. Best of all is the price : lumprais costed over 900 LKR each. Quality of service and food has really dropped

Pineapple gateau Experienced the most horrible pineapple gateau from the GREEN CABIN - MOUNT LAVINIA for the second time. Before ordering gave specific instructions as to to freshly baked cake since the previous cake too was spoiled. The contact person at Green Cabin Mount Lavinia said the cake was a fresh one as they got it yesterday. This happened late last evening. When it was served for the visitors today couldn’t even cut the cake as it was all sludgy with rotten and dried pineapple on top. When called to inform now, we were asked to check bottom of the cake to check the date and to our astonishment the cake was made on the 10th January and we received of 15th late evening & without any apology was inquiring how many pieces was missing. Highly dissatisfied and this concern is made for the top management of Green Cabin.

The place is a very calm and quite area. The staff is friendly there was only one person but he was very attentive. The food was of good quality. There was seating facilities available for about four people. Parking was not available as it was a small shop but you can park by the side of the road. Thereare good cake options for very reasonable prices.

Lump rise was terrible and tasteless, first time had a lump rice with out an egg in it, they have used cheap broken rice for it and portion was very little not enough for an adult, certainly not worth for Rs600/- last time ordering from Green cabin.

Iced coffee tasted so weird and Devil chicken bun is not good. First time experiencing this sort of low quality form GC. 😓

Be cautious when purchasing food items in the evenings. Came across some spoiled paste inside a certain products. I'm not sure whether it is unique to the Templar's Road branch. But in case just be cautious of giving such food to kids. The branch did replace our food without any complaints. But food items should be double checked to maintain the quality of Green Cabin as an established brand in bakery products.

Ordered a chocolate delight cake through pick me and received a one that is going to expire tomorrow. The cake was very firm and stale with no taste at all. Can't believe they sent a cake that is almost expired. Ruined everything. Never going to order from green cabin mount lavinia 🤮

Most of the times during my visits, I have found that the food items are at an edge. But those are evening times. I love the lemon cake, actually the old version of ot with less icing...

Green cabin is best known for their good lump rice pack and pine apple cakes. The food is good in taste and priced moderately high. Hence not value for money in terms of the price you pay. Service can be improved for sure. One of the other things you need to try is the lime and the ice coffee they make it taste great and will quench your thirst if you drag yourself in the hot sun.

A smaller outlet on Templers Road. Parking is on the sides of the road and usually doesn't prove to be a problem. The pastries and other short eats are not as fresh as most other outlets because the baking and frying etc are not done there. But except for the lack of freshness and flakiness the taste and flavors are intact. Space is a problem in such a small place (obviously) and only 2 tables with 2 chairs each are available if you want to gobble (or gulp) down something then and there. This gets filled up quite quickly. Is there only one staff member? Maybe there's two but when it's just one, service becomes super slow even though that staff member tries his /her best to oblige. The pre packed ice coffee tasted old and "spiky" and some pieces of cake were dried up and hard. This doesn't happen frequently in their other outlets. Maybe it's something to do with the food delivery times from the main bakery to this outlet. That's a shame because Green Cabin has upped its taste, quality and freshness since recently.

Yesterday when I inquired the price of a Sandwich I realised that the price marked on the item was LOWER than the price mentioned by the Sales assistant. Also the Expiry date was not displayed on the item. In my opinion a Sale such as this is ILLEGAL!!

I just ordered A Chocolate Cake. There was an insect inside the Box... They finally answered the phone. They replaced with another cake. They say that it must have happened during the Transport by PickMe... God only knows.

Burnt pastry crust with raw dough at the bottom. What. The. Hell. They claim something's wrong with their oven. If you like to taste carbon and flour at the same time, go ahead.

This is the second time around that the cake I bought was not fresh. 1st, the cake I bought was the red velvet cake, which was very dry, and the base was pretty hard. The 2nd was a chocolate fudge cake, where the cake was getting spoilt. You could taste it badly. Upon calling and informing them, they sent another cake, which was good. I'm a bit disappointed that Green Cabin is doing this. 😕

I live literally less than a kk away from the outlet. I ordered via Uber eats. It took them almost 2 hours to complete the order. I called them and asked them to cancelled when I found out the shown complete time is takes 2 hours. They said “No sir we are baking some items” it will only take 10 minutes once done we will get a rider and send” regardless of the assurance they still took 2 hours after the delivery rider has arrived to the location they still took 20 minutes to handover the food to the rider. Utterly disappointing
