They get a star for adequate parking. So, LA Fitness sent the same manager that couldn’t manage the Piedmont Rd location to this one. This location is so poorly kept. They are missing majority of handles for cable machines: it’s so bad that people bring their own. PEOPLE PAYING MEMBERSHIPS BRING THEIR OWN BASIC EQUIPMENT! Weights are always missing or not racked. The staff does no work. I see one tall guy with an Afro actually walk around and be productive. The bald, round manager sits at the front all day and laughs with the young girls who also do nothing but stretch and yawn. Oh, and you have to search for a dispenser with paper towels in it.

If I could rate it a zero I would. Staff dnt know cpr can't use defibrillator. My daughter in law could not die in my son's arms because he had to do cpr and do the defibrillator until the 911 rescue came . Rip my wonderful daughter in law. Miss you .

Portly maintained, dirty, useless front desk staff. Everything is broken, rules are not enforced, the people that work here could not do a worse job if they tried. Theft is a major issue.

I’m reading posts about just how horrible the staff is at this gym. I brought a friend in on a guest pass that was approved and validated by la fitness corporate and the staff denied his entry to the gym. They notified me that I would need to pay an extra $20 a month for guests pass, when I declined they kicked us both out. I’m never coming to this gym again

Enjoy the vibe. Great basketball to watch and if you want to join in be ready to compete. It's nice to see young folks faster now. I've got much hard doing either. LOL competition is going to bring some arguing no matter what. Hahaha

STARTED OFF GOOD ENOUGH, and then it didnt. So. It's 1/21/2023. I have a new phone. And couldn't log in. The lady at the front desk did a good job at telling me how to get log in. I get checked in.... I turn to her and asked if I could get a racket and ball. She said they don't provide them at this location. I explained that I play there every month and they give it to me and the person I usually play with all the time .. She then tells me I CAN "...come BEHIND the counter and LOOK FOR THE RACKET MYSELF, if I want".. I said look my self, be hind the counter??? No I'd decline. Places of business that serve black communities have got to do better with customer service. And it won't happen until the ppl who PAY for these services make their standards mandatory!!! I will be sending this complaint to the next level. We don't get a discount.. I REFUSE DISCOUNT SERVICE!

Honestly this gym is the worst gym I’ve ever been too. The management attitude is so nasty. The ladies come in with McDonald’s. The equipment is always broken. There’s literally a box that’s been standing by some equipment that’s there everyday. If a gym is suppose to promote health and wellness then why are your ladies eating McDonald fries. The only positive attitudes remaining is the short guy with the curly fro and the tall guy who wears glasses. The trainers are very arrogant and snobish. Time for a new gym because this gym is going down the drain.

Between the cameras, tripods and lack of sanitary cleanliness being displayed all over. LA Fitness has dropped off since begging patrons to comeback from COVID-19. Shouldn't matter what side of town you are own standards should be kept. You can tell there's no full time janitorial service on staff, treadmills haven't been cleaned in weeks and don't look underneath.

I recently joined this gym. It does have a variety of gym equipment and amenities. However, it smells awful and the equipment is filthy. I've been a member of several gyms in the past where equipment is cleaned frequently throughout the day. I don't think this gym has had a thorough cleaning in several months if not years. Everything is caked in sweat and dirt - including the floors. They do come around and pick up wipes every once and awhile. There's also a lot of broken equipment. There aren't very many options in this area so you're almost left with no choice but to go here. If I wasn't receiving a significant discount from my employer, I would not choose to workout here. This location has a huge Black population and it's pretty sad how we choose to service our community. We gotta do better.

I come to this location on the weekends because it’s close to my house, it’s not crowded but damn you can never find dumbbells, they’re always scattered all over the gym, due to people not reracking their weights! Barbell plates are always laying everywhere also, it’s just so unorganized. It’s not kept up at all and probably the worst location I’ve been to so far in Atlanta. The LA fitness off of North Decatur rd is the best!

I had a guest pass that I wanted to use at this facility. When I arrived, I thought it would be a pretty smooth process. I was prepared with my DL and expected the staff would show me around the facility. Not that I needed it, but just wanted the experience. Well, it didn’t go well. At all. The front desk girl (I say girl because she lacked maturity) went to Harold Davis after presenting my pass. She came back to me saying that they weren’t focusing on guest passes due to COVID-19 (?) and that he called me to tell me this. Mind you, this isn’t stated when printing out the pass. So, the first statement sounded more like an excuse/lie to get out of doing the job they were paid to do, and the second one was a complete lie. Verified my number. No missed calls from him. I told him that was a lie. When asked to present evidence of said phone call, I got more excuses. Figured that. If you’re going to lie, at least be good at it. The girl at the front desk laughed. What a joke. I don’t know where they hired these people. Completely unprofessional and need to clean up their act and hire people that have the necessary skills/experience to work with the public. And judging by the reviews, I guess I’m not the only one. Do better. Corporate will be getting contacted after this experience.

This facility has gone down the toilet. I originally joined this location back in 2006 when it opened and I remained a member through 2020. I canceled my membership because the facility, the staff and the quality of patrons declined significantly. Fast forward to November 2023. I moved back on this side of town and decided to visit each gym to figure out which I’d join. My son and I signed up for the complimentary day pass and we met with Harold. He was sitting behind a desk (front desk unmanned) and I felt like he was bothered by our presence. I told him that my family of four would possibly want to join again and that we wanted to check out the facility. There’s no other word to describe Harold except for rude. I was told that I could not use the day pass since I was a former member and he offered no alternatives. I was willing to pay just to check it out prior to joining but he left a very disgusting taste in my mouth with his sense of entitlement, lack of customer service and slick mouth. He ultimately gave me a pass since my son (minor) was allowed to use his. After that terrible experience, the facilities were even more terrible than Harold. There’s original, rusted, screeching & dirty equipment that is in the same spot that I found it in 2006. This location is by far the worst. My family and I joined Planet Fitness in U/C. Great experience upon entering the facility. Follow up: Harold called to follow up 3 weeks later and introduced himself as Camp Creek LA Fitness. I asked whom I was speaking with and he repeated name of the facility and not his name. GET THIS GUY SOME BASIC TRAINING.

I love to come to this gym, the classes are amazing and the instructors are the best. I have no complaints about them. But one of the things I don’t like : there is no security at all. I came in one day and I saw a guy go in without checking in and there was no one on front desk. I kept my eye on and no one was on the reception for at least 10 minutes. The guy has dirt jeans and Tss and he started using the equipment, i can be totally wrong and he could be a membership we will ever know. But bottom line is why there is no one checking in members?! There are kids inside this gym, so anyone can just walk in? Nobody is safe? This is no the first time the happened. And the reception staff is no bad but it is also no good , there is no customer service touch. There is just someone saying “whats up?” No ever I see them say “ good morning how can I help you?” . There is always a breakdown in the parking lot Nobody manages the gym to keep things clean and organized such as weights and rooms. The gym is just doing a mediocre and average work for members.

Many patrons that attend this LA Fitness are messy and inconsiderate of the other patrons. There are some members who consistently listen to their phones loudly without headphones. Many patrons do not re-rack weights. Honestly, I think this is a problem at many gyms, but the difference between this and other locations is that the LA Fitness Team typically does round and will re-rack weights that patrons have failed to. On multiple occasions this facility has run out of wipes/papertowels/ sanitizing solution/etc. Most recently was 2 days ago. Also, there have been several times where the person who was supposed to open the gymn either never showed or was late resulting in the gym not opening until 45 minutes after it was supposed to open and a whole crowd of people waiting in the parking lot. It's closest to me which is why I go to this location, but whenever hubby and I get a chance, we go elsewhere to LA Fitnesses that are less crowded and better taken care of. Update 10/18. . . Yesterday hubby showered at the gym (we usually dont) He said he hasn't seen so many cochroaches running rampant since he cleaned out a cochroach infested apartment. They were running all around the bathroom. So gross.

This place is supposed to open at 5:00am on weekdays, which works out well for those of us who want to workout prior to work. However, frequently over the past six months, no one is there to open the doors on time, leaving customers out in cold/rain until they show up. Garbage cans are run over and trash fills the parking lot and around the main entrance. Weights and equipment are not put away by night crew and scattered all over the place for opening. Please do better!

This is probably one of the better well put together LA fitness facilities I’ve been to but I swear the staff or management needs to be able to police people in the gym a little better. This is close to my house and convenient but the men in here act extremely intrusive. Not the staff but the members. I’ve had to address 4-5 different men for either staring, intruding on my space, or just unwanted contact. I am a very confident person and I don’t mind the fact that men are going to see pretty and well built women but there should be something in place that allows us to either report people or staff should be able to see a situation happening or forming. I feel like I have to watch for that here at the Camp Creek facility than any other facility I’ve been to.

This is by far the worst la fitness that I've been to. The pros are that there are quite a few machines. That's it. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Numerous times I've come in, and the staff is on the phone, not even paying attention to who is coming or going. I'm almost certain anyone could walk in and work out, and no one would know. If you have a question or anything, good luck! They are nasty. The machines look as if they're never cleaned. Most of the cardio machince have so much sweat build up that they are rusting. You can literally see the drips of God only knows how many people's dried sweat. To put it bluntly, this place is ghetto. The guests get rowdy, and there isn't anything done about it. This isn't to say the staff should be like Superman, but give them a warning or something. It's always, ALWAYS crowded. Long story short, skip this location if possible.

This gym could be alot better they are kind of the only game in town in this area. The sauna needs to be cleaned more it smells really bad and there is trash in there. The equipment needs to be replaced for small things like triceps pull downs. I rarely write reviews but hipefuy thus gets to someone who can make this place better.

I’ve contacted this location 3 times with respect to Michael H. By all accounts, he is an unprofessional aqua fit instructor who does not consider the health and safety of participants in his group fitness course, particularly, those who are new participants. I’ve sent 3 written email complaints with attached evidence of his aggressive and poor behavior dating back at least two years. My husband and myself will be following up in-person. Michael H displays misogynistic behavior, and quite frankly, he has a complex. If you’re a personal trainer who doesn’t bother to ask if your participants have limitations or other valid reasons (such as being a first time participant) that prevent their participation from meeting your “personal expectations” then you are a liability. Do better and be better for the sake of your job that is being financed by the naive participants who continue to finance their club memberships. See the attached evidence of his behavior. We demand, and deserve better. I called today on 9/26/21 and was told to call on 9/27/21 between 9-5, although we were told someone would call or address our complaint between these hours on 9/26/21. Not acceptable. I’ll be calling daily until this is resolved.

I signed up again mainly to use the pool. No one was able to tell me the exact length of the pool - I paced it off at about 25M. Plus it would be nice to have a real swim clock. The office clock at one end is barely visible even when your at that end of the pool, the second hand is basically invisible - so worthless as a training aid. August’21. Despite posted signs asking for mandatory masks, about 20% are actually wearing them, including on my last visit, the staff at the front desk. Still.. 50-60 people breathing heavily during an airborne virus pandemic… what could go wrong? I feel sorry for the staff trying to enforce the mask rule. It must be hard for a few young people to confront the non conformists. I assume it must be hard, coz though I visit three or four times per week I have never actually seen anyone try.

Went in as a guest with my friend who's a member on a 7 day guest pass, was constantly badgered with sales quotes, my free pass was cut short 3 days early, so I got to use the gym a total of 2 times, everytime I would walk in they would coerce me to sign up when all I wanted to do was check out what equipment they had available. The jacuzzi was broken and smelled like urine, gym was overcrowded, the sauna was constantly filled with men pretty much standing with their behind to your face. Extremely poor customer service, felt like they were just trying to scam me out of my money from the moment I walked in.

Don’t really have any issues with the gym itself, I’ve been coming to this particular gym on and off for about 5 years. I enjoy all the new equipment and appreciate this gym as I started my gym journey at this exact gym. The issue is that within the last year I’ve been horribly disappointed with the customer service. The ladies at the front desk are so rude for no reason. Entirely unprovoked and unprofessional. No idea what their problem is, but every time without fail, their attitude is so nasty. It’s disheartening especially when we come in giving our best attitude and being kind. I’m afraid further training is needed for these folks. I recommend going to the Old national location, I’ve experienced the quite opposite there.

The service here is horrible if it has anything to do outside of them pushing their membership on you. I have the VIP membership and gave a friend of mine the vip pass for a week. They had the pass starting two days before we showed up, and then the jacuzzi was inoperative for three of the five remaining days we went. When we mentioned the incorrect start date to the vip pass they said they didn't have proof that we came in later yet when told to look at the cameras their tune switched to "oh we can't change the start date". They kept pushing the membership in lieu of fixing the error. As far as the equipment goes the sauna is small, maybe 9 people thigh to thigh will fit in there. The treadmills are plentiful but the bicep and chest machines are scarce. Out of the 5 days we went we didn't see the juice station open once. The pool was readily available every day and the locker rooms were clean. All in all a sub par experience for the premium prices they charge. I'd recommend going to another gym where they see you as more than another membership to add to their quota.

Got to the gym this morning at 6am 7/3/23, none of the staff was there to open the facility, waited until 6:45 & left. Spoke with the manager at 12:31 to find out someone overslept & didn’t come to work, we need to do better, we need to require better, the manager was professional with his apology, maybe there should be more than one person responsible for opening the gym.

Easily the worst LA Fitness in Atlanta. Weights are all over the place and the equipment is older than Lean on Me. People don't wipe down after using a bench here. The staff never cleans anything or reracks equipment. I don't know how the manager here still has a job. Their DM must not care at all.

Very nice gym. Friendly staff from my experience so far, especially Harold. Great selection of equipment, and some interesting pieces you don’t often see. Some of the equipment is a little older, but I like that old school bodybuilder type of equipment. Great hammer strength products and variety of dumbbells. Only thing I’d like to change is add more cleaning stations.

Considering the uptick in COVID cases you would think, multiple different machines and space between them...great. That's why I left PF, to spend more money here... simple right? This location has recently switched out the COVID friendly setup for cheap artificial turf as a "training area". I absolutely hate the change and honestly I could be the only one. So if you enjoy a lack of space and waiting on equipment in a gym that is typically overcrowded already..go for it!!

  • 2/5 Littron C. 1 year ago on Google
The location is great but the gym culture is lacking. The morning staff is inconsistent with greeting and weights are rarely put back from staff and clients. You can never find the weight your looking for and clients hog the cardio machine. They stay on for longer than 20 minutes and staff aren't monitoring. Ie stairs. There are machines that have been out or order with posted signed for ages. The new remodel is nice.

  • 3/5 Erica H. 2 years ago on Google
This location could be more organized and cleaner. You have to constantly look for weights because people leave them all over the gym. Used paper towels litter the floor and workout equipment.Trash cans are often overflowing too.

  • 1/5 Jasmine S. 4 months ago on Google
Excellent gym to go to if you wanted to be openly disrespected by staff members and have mangers do nothing about it. Dirty, nearly all lighter weights are gone, things always broken who knows when they’ll get fixed or replaced. No one should be paying the full rate for what you’re getting.

  • 1/5 Yaz H. 1 year ago on Google
They are liars… the people that work in membership. I’m not about to sit here and type my experience, but I will say this, if you don’t watch them, they will try to scam you and cheat you out of your money. They will tell you one price one day and something different the next. They’ll play dumb and make up whatever they can to spend more money. So disappointed in them. And!!! You can’t find a dumbbell no where.

Variety of equipment. Never been too packed when I go. But it stank. I know folks working out but dang it be musty as heck. Work out floors dirty. Need to be cleaned every night. Not sure what's in the bottles they provide for cleaning equipment. The music they play when the cycling class isn't playing some decent music is tragic. Still able to get worked out what I want. The sauna is the only reason I signed up. Jacuzzi water looks dingy compared to pool water.

Feels like a meat market. Too many guys hawking all the free weights. Uncomfortable working out around them. Didn't have certified personal trainers on staff last summer and they allowed my ex to have our 15 year old daughter sign a 12-month contract for personal training?? Who does that? I canceled my membership online and got confirmation, but I got billed the next month. I called and was told that canceling online basically doesn't do anything; I had to physically come in to cancel. WTH? Why? And why is canceling online not sufficient? Anything for money, I guess.

Beware: The pool and the “complimentary” 3-Day Trial Pass. The complimentary 3-Day trial/guest pass isn’t complimentary at all :-/ They will require you to pay $10-20 for a “day pass” (it depends on who you talk to, I guess), even though my complimentary (i.e free) pass hadn’t expired yet. I wouldn’t recommend the pool: I’ve noticed a few times there were band-aids, bandages, and alcohol wipes as well as other debris floating in it. Also, I noticed a blood stain at the bottom on one end. 😐

Agree with many of the negative comments. - weights are rarely able to be found. So much wasted time searching for them - multiple sets of weights would be nice - equipment is outdated - not very clean I’ve only been here a few months and already searching for a new gym. I would even consider going to PF over this LA Fitness location.

Only reason I come to this gym is because the other LA fitness that’s closer to me have too many car breakins (campcreek) anyhow I like to come at 5am I came on three different occasions and each time., they were beyond LATE! they show up at 6am , by this time guest have chose to walk the parking lot or better yet they just left all together - totally unacceptable, I don’t do late, and just always something at this gym! One min cars were getting broken into as well, they have solicitors selling stuff inside the gym or selling rib plates outside or they close the gym repeatedly for the water not working or oh we smell gas or oh the fire department is inspecting and the list goes for them to close the gym - however it won’t be we long before I cancel my membership

I think the facility is nice, but the people here never put weights back, nor do I see staff walking around to return weights that are left at machines or squat racks. I have to use a Dumbell thats too light or too heavy a lot

The worst gym I’ve ever been too for numerous reasons that I will name, missing and broken equipment specifically dumbbells and exercise machine attachments this is especially annoying for women who need to use lighter weights, they’re all missing.Gym culture wise the individuals who go here have no regard for others and don’t put their equipment away or clean after themselves, expect to spend at least 10 min of your workout trying to find equipment you need or re-racking others peoples weights. If you need a gym def don’t go to this one dirty, a waste of time, and a waste of money.

Overall, this particular branch is huge and loaded with all kinds of equipment. The staff is friendly and the patrons are respectful or mindful of others. I haven't gotten a chance to try out the whirlpool so cannot comment on that. Its location is favorable because it's close to the Perimeter as well as dozens of shops, eateries, and Target. My only gripe is that there are no ceiling fans and the temperature is way too hot in there (75-78F). Maybe once the Spring warmth is steady, the HVAC will switch to cool versus heat mode?! Otherwise, it's a terrific place!

This gym has a serious theft problem INSIDE THE GYM!! They’re using paper clips to pop padlocks and steal anything valuable from your locker. I’ve been going to this particular location for over 10 years, but I’m switching locations. It happened to me today, and has happened to other people I know also. Car break-ins are a problem at this location also. Earlier this year they made an announcement over the loud speaker, and the whole gym had to clear out to check the parking lot, to see if they’re car had been broken into. BEWARE!!!

Months ago the mirror to the left of a weight area got a large Crack (may have even been about a year now). Finally after months and months they removed the broken mirror and were doing work. I expected the mirror to be replaced, right? NOPE. They just painted the wall where the mirror was (wrong color BTW as it doesn't match the standard LA Fitness charcoal color throughout the gym). . . Doesn't appear there is any intent to replace the mirror at this point which is truly frustrating. The mirror was essential to checking form while working out on the machines giving 90 degree visibility. Now there is only a mirror on the back wall which is less helpful than the mirror that was removed. Would have been better to just leave the cracked mirror 🪞. Do better, LA Fitness. This is the worst managed LA Fitness I've ever been to. So bad my husband just froze his membership and is opting for the recipient center membership which is actually much more affordable. We pay a lot and this gym is over crowded, so I know you're raking in the $$$. Use our investment to fix stuff not this sorry excuse.

One of my favorite locations to go to. Tre and Tasha are the highlight of this gym! They really go out their way to make the members happy and definitely go out their way to take care of the gym. They deserve a raise!

I went to utilize my 3 day free pass that was sent to me just to determine if I would make this my home gym but the customer service sucked they also informed me that the sales team is the only people that can allow you in and I’m like okay the email never stated that they aren’t in until after the time I would normally get my workout in then when I stated it doesn’t say that on the email they just looked at me and was like okay. No one tried to resolve the issue the fact that I just drove by 8+ miles to get here I was rudely dismissed yeah I’ll keep my money I’ll find another gym

🫤 Gym is clean but your car is NOT safe in this parking lot!!! Multiple car break ins in this planet fitness parking lot! Security should be onsite monitoring the lot. We shouldn’t be in fear that our windows will be busted while we are trying to maintain our health! I told the staff that there was a...

😠 For a gym located in Buckhead, I expected SO much better. Great location, but here’s a short list for why I’m giving such a low rating. • The women’s locker room is consistently FILTHY. We’re still in a pandemic, yet there was no soap in any of the restroom dispensers…? Also, people don’t flush t...
