This is my third time here at the Marriott Apartments. The kindness of the girls at the reception is always the same, never to be overlooked. The apartment was clean, very spacious, equipped with almost everything you'd need in a house, from kitchenware, TV's in every room, 2 bathrooms, washer, ironing board and iron, umbrella, toaster, microwave etc. All bed were comfortable, pillows as well, heating and aircon can be controlled independently. Water pressure in the shower really powerful with instant hot water. I had a salad with room service, it was delivered in just a few minutes. The restaurant itself is good, have had several meals there during my 3 visits. I'm not sure about breakfast, haven't tried it yet. There is a grab and go small store for some groceries, like cereals, milk, bread, yogurt, chips or small items you may have forgotten at home, everything will be charged to your room or can be paid at the reception. The gym is at the top floor, they even have a screen golf enjoyable with a small fee (roughly 12 euro per hr). Unfortunately the only 2 available elevators were out of service, you could either use the stairs or the staff elevator. (The written notice of this inconvenience was dated late February...) The location is good, right by the river and a very popular restaurant, 10 minute walk from the "city center" (if you may call it that).

Room is pretty big. But. 1. Hot water is not that hot. 2. Inside the room was really cold. Really. 3. Price. Too expensive. About $150 per night in cold room, without hot hot water in the bath... That's too much. Positive sides: 1. TCO HQ is across the road. 2. Personnel is kind and polite. 3. Pretty good location. Good neighborhood.

Very comfortable. I feel like at home. Shops, restaurants, markets and malls are 10-15 min walk away or 4-5min by taxi. View from 20th floor is amazing)

Rooms smells terribly. I lived in 610 and it was something else. Finally left for the Renaissance after three nights there. The only good thing about the Marriotts is the view. It is located next to the river and you can enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. Breakfast has very limited choice. If you plan to stay for a few weeks you better stay in Renaissance. Much nicer place. Believe my, I tried both.

If your room is on the south side of the building the temperature will never be correct. When the sun hits that side in winter with the sealed windows, the room hits 33c no problem. The air conditioning gets turned off in the winter. Even in summer there had better be no problem with the air conditioning or you will cook. It's Kazakhstan you know there will be a problem. The furniture and kitchen are nice as are the other amenities. The views are fantastic, the best in the city. I lived here for 18 months on the 19th floor. 😎

Nice rooms. Service is not of a Marriott level.

There is no cooling in the rooms and no way to open a window or even an operating fan. This problem has persisted for over a year and they have not addressed the problem. It is 31 degrees Celsius in my room while it is only 21 degrees outside. The room is otherwise great, the location is great and the food is good, but the room is almost unusable during the day due to hot temperatures. The gym on the 20th floor gets even warmer approaching 40 degrees. Unbelievable that this is allowed to continue at a Marriott hotel

The apartments are nice but you cannot turn off the heating. This makes hard yo fall asleep. The restaurant does not offer a great choice but the food is good.

Like the place, try to stay there every time when in Atyrau. Breakfast and restaurant in general are sub-par.

Reception area was freezing cold, no heating in that area. Apartments are good

The hotel is very old, with the last renovation made possibly in early 2000. The service is not great as well. The quality of the food in the restaurant is objectively bad. If you have no choice and staying in this hotel, eat outside, there are plenty nicer places. Overall the price vs quality of the hotel is not matching. There are not many options in Atyrau unfortunately, and they don’t put any effort to make it better.
