Loved this place! Theres a problem with google when you get out of the metro, it tells you to walk along Lamarck. If you do this you have many stairs to climb with your luggage. When you head to the hostel be sure to walk along Caulaincourt unless you feel like running a gauntlet before check-in.

We just had 5 nights here as a family in 2 rooms. The staff are friendly, the decor very nice, rooms are small and warm. It's a great location to explore Paris.

Fabulous overall experience - canā€™t wait to return. It is very difficult to find a room in Paris in an acceptable location at that reasonable rate. Keeping this in mind you know that canā€™t expect a four star hotel comfort and service.

Room was really bad. Sheets had hairs on them. I asked for a new one and that had hairs on it too. Room I stayed in needed refurbishing. Bathroom and bedroom looked old and more care needed. Room was of a much lower quality to how the reception and breakfast area looks like. Strange contrast. Older white man at reception always looked unhappy and wasn't very helpful AT ALL. I found him quite rude with minimal customer service skills.

A quaint little hostelry in the heart of Paris situated away from the crowded, touristy areas of Montmartre - This is ideal for those seeking an authentic Parisian experience. The hostel is the has an informal atmosphere, all the while benefitting from an ideal location in the center of Paris, at the foot of SacrƩ-Coeur. Breakfast is plain and simple and the location is perfectly what you envisaged when you chose to come to Paris. It also benifits from being very closer to the Metro, with a variety of Cafe/Restauarants near by as well as a local shop.

Magnificent location in Montemarte near cafes, restaurants, and entertainment. The room was a little dirty and when I told the grumpy man behind the front desk that we found a mouse in our room he only became grumpier. Very little was offered to make this situation more comfortable. The rest of the staff was nice.

3.5 Stars For the price, itā€™s pretty decent. The staff are friendly, itā€™s in a safe area, and close to the metro. Removing 1 star for the lack of sound proofing (inside the building is tiles and sound echos all around the building). Removing 0.5 stars for the shower size. Iā€™ve been in some pretty small showers, but this was just not well thought out at all! Staff were friendly. Breakfast was very basic, I often bought pasties from the bakery next door instead. Given the price, I would probably stay again.

Fantastic location. (as long as you don't mind steep hills and steps) Bus stop right outside. Metro one minute away. Resterants on your doorstep. SacrĆ©-Cœur 10 mins walk with many many more restaurants. Rooms was fine for what you pay in Paris. I stayed in a single room with a shower. But shared toilet. Clean room, sheets and towels. Enough space for one. TV, safty deposit box, a few hangers for clothes and a small table and chairs. The shower was hot and powerful. It's a bit of a tight squeeze to get in and out. I was given a few toiletries. Shared toilet was clean and never really had to wait long if at all. I asked for a hairdryer and extra pillow. Both were provided with out any hassle. There were a few marks on the walls which I would clean to be fair. Breakfast was provided. Basic but handy. Teas, coffee and juice. One bread and one croissant per guest with butter and jam. I think there were cereals too but I didn't work that out. Friendly and helpful staff. General atmosphere was was more budget hotel than hostel. Not the kind of hostel to meet other travelers but perfect if you want a budget room and your own space. Reception and breakfast room were really smart and modern. Could be a little noisy at night as the walls are thin and you csn hear everyone passing by to their rooms. Overall a very lovely little place to stay in Paris and I highly recommend.

By far my favourite hostel Iā€™ve ever stayed at. Charming in location, charming in aesthetic, perfect amenities and kind people. I had a blast staying in a one person room with toilet and found it to be completely wonderful. I canā€™t say better of this place. I tell all my friends visiting Paris to stay here. Iā€™ll be back!!!!

They are selling mix gender rooms that they don't have, when asked they said its happening often, but they are doing nothing about that. Than we get separated rooms with other people and without toilette even though we payed for private toillete. Quite small and dusty rooms Nice breakfast and communal area with dining room. Also nice surroundings and close to bus 80 station.

Didn't really stay there, just took a friend. But I got a peek and it is wow. Old Parisian building, made in the side of hill, Montmartre popular area. Many levels, small passages, true gem of old architecture stole combined with modern design. I can easily see it as a film set.

!NOT ACCESSIBLE AT ALL! The address pulls up at the bottom of a really steep set of stairs. Cannot bring luggage or anyone not completely able-bodied. Facility has no elevator so you have to haul everything up and down to your room. Had us on the 3rd floor down with no accommodation for my disabled father and all of our luggage. Desk lady was VERY rude when we expressed concern for my disabled fatherā€™s ability to access the room and ignored us completely after we cancelled the rest of the stay. Just pick another hostel.

We stayed in a delux twin room with private bathroom. It's a small room but not to small to stay in those couple of hours you're not exploring the city. They changed our towels everyday which was much appreciated. The breakfast is a standard croissant, small bread with spreads and drinks one. Nice neighborhood, close to the metro. Would recommand it.

Perfect location to walk to various restaurants, Sacre Cure and the bars of the Moulin Ruge area. The double room was very small and duvet too hot, but still clean and comfortable. Coffee, juice and croissants with jam and some corn flakes for breakfast was fine enough!

Top notch for getting to the stade du France, a bar and baguette shop right outside and very authentic location. Really enjoyed staying here for the rugby world cup semifinal weekend.

Budget friendly hostel in Paris. But there are no lifts and hostels are too compact. Weird thing is that you get only one plug point to charge your phone in a room of 3 people. One thing i liked was free breakfast which saved my money

This hostel was so cozy and felt more like a hotel. The building is gorgeous and the staff are very helpful. They even offer free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

It is a peaceful and quiet hostel. It's location is perfect, there is a bus station near that goes to the Eiffel tower directly and metro is also close. There are a lot of good bakeries, supermarkets near the hostel. The location has a wonderful French vibe. Cons: The bathroom does not have a door, it is a curtain-like door and does not have a lock. Also when somebody showers the room becomes humid. Each floor has toilets that is outside of the room. The hostel doesn't have a locked storage in the room. The staff can't speak English very well but it wasn't that much problem. If you are looking for a hostel to socialize and have fun, this hostel is not for you. It also depends on the people staying in the room, though.

Above expectations. The metro is very close and if you ever miss breakfast, thereā€™s a nice bakery at the corner with a full breakfast for ā‚¬8. The neighbourhood is very charming and installations are pretty and tidy, great cleaning service. The walls are very thin. There was a person in the room beside mine with a persistent cough which made my stay very unpleasant, particularly at night. Besides, once people start waking up in the morning, the noise makes it impossible to sleep a little bit more. Donā€™t arrive at breakfast late because the lady will be mad and will tell you so.

Great location, cute dƩcor and helpful staff. Be aware that it is not accessible (as far as I can see) for wheelchair users. FYI, Google Maps suggests a steep flight of stairs to access the road it's on, but you cab take a slightly longer route for the final few mins to avoid that.

Nice place. They keep the rooms really clean everyday and there's a shower and toilet in the roomand not outside. There plenty of shops and food options around. It's very easy to walk to most places or take the metro or bus.

We booked a room with ensuite bathroom. The room was small but it was great value for money. In the Montmartre area, the hostel was well connected with metros and buses. Great places to eat were merely a short walk away. The folks at the reception were very helpful, kind and warm. Breakfast was offered - the options were limited but it helped us start the day on the right note with coffee, orange juice, cereal options, croissants etc.

This hotel is fair enough for its price, I enjoyed my stay a lot here. Here are some reasons that I recommend, the layout is nice, the environment is clean, the location is close to the metro, and the staffs are so helpful. I still remembered the last day, my friend and I were heading to the airport but we had difficulty communicating with the driver in French, the staff helped us to translate and communicate with him to find the right location.

Good location and nice atmosphere in the shared space. However, the room we got downstairs was full of moisture. Neither of the ventilators worked and both the wc and the shower were full of steam--the walls of the wc and the doors of the shower even had visible moisture stains. They should also do a better job with cleaning, as the room wasn't clean enough. Another disadvantage was that the wifi signal in the room was very poor, so we didn't have proper internet connection.

The worst hotel Iā€™ve ever been in Paris. I was with back pain because I really needed two pillows to sleep, and the most unpleasant man ever simply said ā€œnoā€. His attitude has been always so gross! Breakfast was also terribly poor! Sometimes what is ā€œcheapā€ is not worth. Would never recommend this place.

Solid hotel, clean rooms and very nice, romantic area and surroundings. The breakfast is horrible but can be skipped in favor of the bakery on the corner šŸ„

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights in a private room. We've been so impressed! It's close to the metro and right around the corner from the best boulangerie. We were on the fourth floor (73 stairs with no lift!) But loved the view out our window. The shower is great! We were surprised that they cleaned our room while we were away too. We didn't try breakfast nor spend much time in the common areas but I'm sure those would be great for travelers looking to socialize more!

Really appreciated the vibe here. With expectations of a dismal hostel experience (let's face it Paris has a terrible reputation for rude and cold people!) I was surprised to meet so many nice people, both guests and staff. Shout out to night staff extraordinaire KC a lovely human. Facilities are good. Value for money excellent. Location top. Room for improvement: The breakfast is very very carb laden. Please add something healthy. Fruit, yogurts, hardboiled eggs would make it top. The kitchen is appreciated but ill equipped. Please add overhead lights, some real knives, cutting boards and better pans. I cooked but it was less than ideal. Refrigerator is a mess. Please add labels and pens so guests can mark their food and staff will know what is to be cleaned out. Summary: Definitely I'll come back. It's nice to find a place to call home in Paris!!!

It is a mix of hostel and hotel, or more a hotel than hostel. Looked like it was improved recently. Rooms are confortable with a razoanable size. Daily cleaning and looked quite clean all areas. Breakfast is simple but, enough for starting the day. They used to leave the remaining breads and croissant to be eaten by the guests during the day for free. It is located in Montmatre area. An excellent location. Staff were all polite, nice and helpful. It had a luggage storage to leave bags during day before or after checkin/checkout.

For the price this hostel/hotel if we might say, was excellent and a five minute walk from La Metro. The double room with ensuite was very clean , bright and spacious, with balcony windows able to be opened with a slight view over Northern Paris and the elevated landscape of Montmartre. Sneaky tip..book via their website to get 10% off booking price ! Tourist tax was equal in price to a trip to the boulangerie. If youā€™re on a budget, go to breakfast for the calories, but donā€™t expect anything special. Simple selection of cereals, boulangerie basket (one croissant and one petit pain). We didnā€™t have the hutzpah to go up and ask for more, but honestly, we think that itā€™s better to just fill up lightly here and have a patisserie or lighter lunch further on in the day. Reception staff were helpful, bag drop is available on the day of departure in order for you to come back. The only downside was that it can get very noisy in the mixed dormitories so bring some earplugs.

Nice location. Good rooms. Good value for money. I stayed in a private room rather than a dorm. Cheap taxi home from the nightclub area. One thing to note is that there is no lift so you do have to go up some stairs - it's not a problem, but if you have a lot of luggage or trouble walking then this may be the right place for you.

Stayed here for the three days we were in Paris! The location was great, the staff were wonderful and helpful. There is a restaurant / bar located right outside that are open all day, and a cafe on the corner also a 3 min walk to the subway station! It was quiet at night to ensure a good sleep after a long day of sightseeing, the only issue was the space and washroom are a little tight!

Nice and clean. Not too far away from metro. Right next to a cafe and my favorite bakery I tried while in Paris.

Super pretty and beautiful hostel. Donā€™t expect luxery, but itā€™s really pretty and cosy. Everything you need is there. For the price, location, experience i really recommend this hostel! Super kind staff! Thanks for having me :)

Overall not bad. Common area looks nice, dorms downstairs could use an update. Shower didnā€™t work and there was no soap to wash hands in the bathroom. Good location.

  • 3/5 Noemi A. 1 year ago on Google
The staff was really nice and the whole atmosphere good! It wasn't really clean though. We stayed for two nights and we noticed they only cleaned the bathroom but nothing else on the second day. Also, the walls were plenty of what seemed to be makeup or some sorta dirt. The location is perfect for taking the metro though, and there is alqays people in the street which makes you fell safe. Overall a really good stay, turned off just by the cleaning.

Stayed here for 2 nights. It certainly isn't luxury but for what you pay it can't be beat! The rooms were clean, shared bathroom was clean, breakfast was fairly good for being included. This area is fantastic too, can't go wrong if you're on a budget!

**READ THIS REVIEW** Our rating: Me = 3/10 My friend = 4/10 ______________ Pros: - Welcoming staff. - Nice aesthetic. - Upgraded us to a 2 bed dorm. ______________ Cons: - Quite expensive (but semi reasonable for Paris). - One of the two plugs didn't work. - TV didn't have power cable or remote so was unusable. - Very, very slow internet. Unusable at times. - Intermittent hand dryer. - Saw a mouse in the kitchen/dining area. - The ceiling flaked over my bed each day. - Smelt cigarette smoke in the corridor/through the ventilation.

Pros - lovely area; lots of cafes and supermarket across road, felt safe at night -very close to metro which can take you everywhere -helpful and friendly staff -comfy bed -clean room every day Cons -have to out of room by 11 (I think this is okay on holiday :) ) -rooms are not very clean -lots of stairs -Wi-Fi is bit slow -walls are thin Overall would recommend. Thereā€™s lots to see nearby and easy to get to the river. -

Well placed hostel, walking distance from Sacre-Couer and numerous bus/metro lines. Fantastically well designed common spaces - my favourite part was the double-height kitchen diner. Room felt more dated than common spaces, but was nevertheless clean and functional for our one night stay.

  • 1/5 Cathleen S. 4 years ago on Google
our ceiling is covered in mold! how delightful! the room is very dirty, sheets are stained, the floor has probably never been cleaned. the walls are falling apart and there is ONE (1) outlet in our 3 person room. how are 3 strangers supposed to share 1 outlet. EDIT: spoke to the front desk and they moved us to a deluxe room with no charge. handled the situation very well and our new room is much much nicer and cleaner, although judging on the quick move i think the mold is a known problem. she offered to have the cleaning staff come clean the mold tomorrow .... not sure that thatā€™s how it works
