Cozy and lovely little cocktail bar where the bartender serve you in underpants. Nice atmosphere. Cocktails rather expensive but very delicious. Definitely worth checking out. It seems to be one of the few bars in the area serving drinks on a Friday night until 2am.

Amazing cocktails! We love coming here and getting the “surprise” cocktail. You basically just tell the bartenders what flavors and alcohol you like (smokey, sweet, etc.) and they take it from there! (Beware they’re deceptively strong!) The atmosphere is always friendly and the bartenders make it a fun experience. Have not tried the food although they do have some small plates.

A great find. That the staff is wearing boxer shorts is a fun fact but irrelevant to what makes this place so great. We could tell from when we walked in that this is one of those places where the culture is to have fun. The staff just enjoys their time there, engages with the customers, really makes it an inviting and happy place to be. But also? The cocktails are works of art. From the glassware that I can only imagine is custom made for them. Matched with the drink. Innovative and delicious combinations you wouldn't have thought about. An atmosphere both funky and relaxed. I can't even make a recommendation to the owner for an improvement. It was a perfect experience.

Really good cocktails, maybe the best in Paris, the 'surprise me' ones are very surprising. Aside from that the staff are very welcoming, fun and willing to listen to crazy requests. Loved it !

Amazing cocktail bar! One of the highlights of our trip to Paris. The drinks were delicious and the service was fantastic. They constantly provided us with complimentary water and also made great non-alcoholic cocktails for our party member who does not drink. The bar was cozy and comfortable with a laid back attitude where the employees wear Boxer shorts and bowties. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would like to come again on our next trip to Paris.

A few blocks from Gare de Lyon. Did after dinner drinks here two of the nights that we stayed in Paris. Great atmosphere and drinks were excellent. Had a fun time with bartenders as well!

Amazing Bar with the best drinks. The surprise me option works the best for those that don't know what they want, cause I had the best drink and I didn't even know what it was! Kudos to this quiet but intricate looking spot just 5 mins away from Gare De Lyon!

Great little bar, serving delicious cocktails in a relaxed setting, with very knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. I chose the 'surprise me' cocktail and the bartender was a real mixologist, it was everything I said I liked in taste and more. This is definitely a bar to return to.

Truly the best bar in Paris. My fiancée and I have been coming here since 2016, and we cannot recommend it enough. Stellar cocktails, a fun vibe, and bartenders who can make a phenomenal drink with their eyes closed.

I really enjoyed that place. I followed friend' advices and was surprised of the place. It was a bit small but the barmans was really great. The surprise me cocktail and others was good. You can also eat at this cosy and lively bar. Then I'll come back for sure.

Excellent cocktails, excellent service! Thé two bartenders on this night were super friendly and efficient. It’s a bit small but you’ll always find a spot to stay. It’s super cozy, you really feel like in an appartement. Finger food available for starving people. Highly recommended bar!!

Le Calbar is one of those places where you instantly feel at home. The cozy, speakeasy atmosphere relaxes you as soon as you walk in, and Thierry, the owner/bartender can chat you up like a long lost friend. Then there are the drinks. Thierry’s techniques are impeccable, and he’s a master at his craft. My wife and I ordered mostly pre prohibition classics, and we noticed he only use the best ingredients and made sure every possible step was perfect. I will definitely be back and you most definitely should go here.

My wife and I had pre dinner drinks at this lovely cocktail bar on our last night in Paris. I had one of the most interesting drinks in some time (the Taurus). All the staff were very friendly and made a lovely mocktail for my wife. I wish we had found this bar sooner, however it was a great way to end the trip. Thanks from Buffalo!

Good Cocktail's and comfortable seating

A small cocktail bar but they seriously know their stuff. Let the bar staff know what you like and they will tailor a drink for you in the most fascinating ways. I chose a gin drink, and they decided to put it in a bag for me! Definitely recommend here if you are staying near Gare de Lyon!

I went there but it was a bit of a special time. It was the middle of the summer holiday season, during the heatwave and on Wednesday evening around 22:30. So it was empty and the three waiters were here just for me basically. I gave my top 3 cocktails and one of them created a specially crafted drink just for me, which was very good and unexpected. I had a very pleasant chat with all three of them for 45 minutes. The bar has AC which was very welcoming with 35°C outside.

Best cocktail bar I've ever been to. Ordered a cocktail from the menu as well as 2 Surprise Me cocktails and all 3 were delicious. Incredibly talented bartenders put on a show and can make you anything you might think of. Just give them a couple words for what you're looking for and they're able to put something together from the top of their heads, very impressive. Highly recommend this bar, can't wait to go back!

Calbar was one of the most amazing and unique experiences we had in Paris. Super fun drinks and atmosphere, incredible service.

We've been twice on two separate vacations to Paris. Quite simply, they make some of the best quality cocktails I have ever tasted. Their variety of cocktails on menu is great, but they are also happy to go off menu and make a "surprise me" drink where you just tell them what liquor and flavor profiles you enjoy. Will be returning again next time we're in Paris!
