👍👍 Always good to go the weekend. It is getting safer and cleaner than a year ago. But still got homeless people occupancy at the corner of Queen St which looks sad and a bit not matching the whole environment.

Wouldn't really call it a Mall in the sense of how we describe them today. Mostly shops catering to the Asian market. Couple of Japanese eateries, one upstairs and 1 on the ground floor. Main entrance to City Fitness is located here.

Nice small area with Asian cosmetics, food, clothing, and cake stores.

This place used to be the go to place in town. They had the small shops that sold imported goods and a decent Chinese restaurant upstairs. North Garden if I can recall correctly. The most important place in this building is Yifans. First situated underground and then moving upstairs. That place is now dead. RIP. It started out as a bright arcade with tons of games and when it moved upstairs it became a dimly lit place with hardly anyone. What a shame. I now purposely walk around just to avoid going through there as it triggers too many sad memories. I guess the only saving grace that Mid City now has is the pool place which is located underground next to the Chinese shop.

Quite a nice food court, lots of variety of cuisine. Food is mostly good. Had Mild Butter Ckicken this time and am very satisfied. Great flavour, could have been a little bit hotter on the Scoville scale) Warning, mind your food and belongings or else they will get picked up very quickly, especially on a busy day.

Place is great wish to give it 3 and a half stars. But it depends who is serving you beware of the girl with the short hair and cap cause she likes to skimp on the portions. The old lady who runs the joint is lovely but the guy at the till seems to like collecting money.

Have known midcity for 35 or more years, watched it change over time. Still stop by to get myself a hair cut from Horus hairdresser which is run by a friendly Japanese couple who you'll find on the second floor. Good to sit and reminisce the not so old times. Notice theres still quite a few stores having survived the impact of covid. Still, very much, worthy of a walk through

Awesome hairdresser here. Always visit while in Auckland have had the same guy for over 2 years who always does my hair perfectly without an appointment time or long wait time.

Conveniently located, good access from Queen Street to shopping centre. Lots of little stores and eateries.

A Sushi place, Subway, a Tattoo place and an assortment of mostly idle, relic looking stores& services, looks exactly like a front

😐 The most modern mall in NZ. Not as big as Sylvia park but much better interior design and efficient use of space. Even though it’s smaller, I think it has more to offer. The only issue is the parking, it offers 3 hours on weekdays, which is sufficient but just 2 hours on weekends. That means you don...
