entrance 2.5€ easy to buy from the Rathaus machine on the GF. take the steps to the 3rd Floor and enjoy a massive Golden view of this around 500 m2 Hall with doors, paintings and theres the side rooms where historical meetings took place. Very impressive work and awesome view from the Top. dont forget to look at the Mirror in the middle of the room so you don't miss any detail from the ceiling work.

A must visit place in Augsburg and hard to miss. You just have to pay a small entrance fee of 2.50 Euros to see the beautiful, magnificent paintings with gold plated decorations. They provide you with an information brochure and a mirror trolley that you need to watch the image as you keep on reading the history. I was amazed to see the richness of the place that they have tried to show through this golden hall. It is worth the time and negligible money.

Ok, to be honest here, this is basically just one room to visit. But, probably the most awesome room I have ever seen. I mean, it's made of gold... What more do you need?! On the more technical side: you need to buy a ticket at tourist information centre or they will tell you (politely) to sod off at the entrance, which is extremely stupid and inefficient for Germans. Also, toilette was closed when I was there last time, don't know if it's usually like this. In the end, 5€ entrance fee is a fair price for this magnificence.

Gorgeous! We weren’t sure if we were supposed to go in because the ticket machine was out of order, but there was no attendant. If anyone wants to hunt us down we’re still in town and we have your €5

Grosser Goldener Saal Augsburg very elegant place. Historical buildings full of magnification painting and the decor using gold very nice and pretty. Keeping old building with fully care and maintenance everything still good. In here government keep the present from other countries like kimono from Japan and Gucci from China very nice...👍
