The brunette gal that bartends at Saxon Pub Airport is literally the slowest bartender I’ve ever seen. Terrible customer service. She walks around at a snails pace, chatting up with people at the bar, meanwhile there’s a line of 20 people trying to get service. I never leave reviews, but I am in this case because it’s not the first time I’ve had this issue here. And she is always the one behind the bar. Either get a 2nd server, or use a better one if they are working solo.

Food, and atmosphere underwhelming. Service was fine. Overheard that they only do burgers well done. Expensive. Food did come out fast which allowed me to minimize time here.

First words out of the bartender, "You can't sit there...." I should have known then to try another bar. I was told I couldn't sit on the other side of the tape (one seat across the line) Bartender assumed I wanted to "watch the game" and directed me to a seat I did not want to be in. I wanted the quiet seat because I needed to process the previous 16 hours spent trapsing across the damn globe.... in hindsight, the server was metering the number of available seats. Goodness forbid you have a full bar and have to actually work! Tired and just wanting a drink, I sat for 2 pints over 2 hours waiting on flight delay. Halfway through pint #2, I noticed THE FLIES IN THE LIME JAR!!! As a retail person for many years, I may be overly critical with the attention to detail I observed being overlooked, but..... GROSS. Not once did the bartender WIPE THE COUNTER AFTER A PATRON VACATED A SEAT...IN TWO MFN HOURS! THE back bar is filthy with wine stains. The cooler glass doors look like 14 puppies died inside them, trying to lick their way out. Call John Taffer, THIS AIRPORT BAR IS DISGUSTING AND NEEDS A HEALTH DEPARTMENT INSPECTION!!!!! Update

If I could give zero stars, I would. I sat down at a table and waited a good 10 minutes before realizing nobody was going to come... then went to the bar and ordered two double drinks... a mule and a bloody mary for myself and my boyfriend. I took a sip and handed her my card to close out and get the bill... SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS FOR TWO DRINKS... I about Sherley'd my pants. Where in the world, on what planet, in what universe is that okay??? SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS? And I'm expected to tip too? Definitely not 20%... that would bring my bill to NINETY for 2 well drinks... what in the Hayley!? No warning? No price menu? Like jeeeez BRO!! Don't support this. This is not okay. $35.08 for a dbl Moscow mule should be illegal.

Best stop while delay after delay! Meet nice people sharing stories. Mr. Bueno was the best at helping so many customers! Stop by and he will fix you up!

Nice vibe. Prices are not listed anywhere and a draft beer costs $15, for a minute I felt am in LA but Welcome to AUS!

A great spot to grab a drink and listen to live music while you wait for your flight in Austin airport. Good service. Centrally located. Recommended

I’d give zero if we could. The bartender was AWFUL and trust me, to get my husband and I to feel that way it takes a lot. Our flight got delayed, got tacos near by (which were awesome) spend about two hours there unfortunately due to the delay, but found a great spot in front of the tv so we could watch some football. Asked for beverage menu which she said they didn’t have…UNFORTUNATELY thought nothing of it and proceeded to have two drinks each and one shot so six total and got the bill for $197.00!!!! For DECENT Service given it’s an airport, okay, but this was the worst experience ever and food was not part of the bill… Never wiped down the bar when we sat down yet it still reeked of vinegar. When she finally acknowledged us after being there for 15 minutes we ordered. After our first drink she looked over 15-20 after we were done and said another? I said please!….30 MINUTES LATER…. she looks and we could tell she forgot which isn’t that big of an issue as we are patient (and they were not that busy at all) but she made it like it was such an inconvenience. Asked to close out three times and she “forgot”. SO rude. The guy sitting next to us was the kindest man and she literally threw his card down at him when he OPENED his tab. Like what?! We are in the service industry and it takes A LOT for us to tip under 20-22%… we def tipped her less than that at this visit…not to mention I could barely finish signing before she snagged it, looked at receipt and rolled her eyes. Long gone is tipping for service. If you don’t like your job get a new one. We thought we scored finding a place at the bar to watch the game but were sadly MISTAKEN!!! DONT GO HERE! WAY over priced and horrible service.

We landed in time to get drinks in before our next flight which just so happened to be near closing time. Alejandro was so rude to me and my friends. He wouldn’t serve us but continued to serve our *non black* friend we just met off of our flight. I asked her if she was seeing the same thing we were seeing just to make sure I wasn’t overreacting and she confirmed he in fact was choosing not to serve us. When I asked for his name again he said “I never gave it to you” but I just so happened to find a receipt from our previous order and it said Alejandro as the name of our server. Today is 10/26/23 and the time frame we were there was about 9-9:56pm outside of gate 18.

The Saxon Pub is a 'Must drop in' when in Austin, Texas! This is authentic Texas! Food trucks, ol' Texan Bar feels, and a music line up that will fill your soul. Incredible wait staff (best I have EVER seen!!!) And a Pumpkin Espresso Mocktini that is undescribable! Definitely a 'To Do in Austin'. Their music lineup is amazing, (I was able to see Terry McBride perform!!!) And their Pumpkin Espresso Mocktini is the best I have ever had!

Alejandro was the nicest bartender I’ve ever met. Very attentive and aware of everyone at the bar. Perfect stop for a beer before your flight.

Good place to grab a quick drink before a flight. Heavy traffic though, so service suffers.

For quick sit down airport food and service your likely not going to do better. Get the sweet potato fries as it's a large portion, enough to share.

Went to see my friend, Jeff Plankenhorn, perform, in honor of his birthday bash. Cool, laid back venue that attracts top notch Austin entertainment.
