Enjoyed the Omakase menu - beautiful dishes with a wide range of flavors. The chef does an exceptional job of taking your taste buds on a journey, hitting a range of notes throughout our meal. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. An overall excellently balanced fine dining experience. Great place for a special occasion. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing dining experience! I would advise going with a few good friends and sharing several things. Pick a few things that peak your interest when you get there and just add as you go. There seriously is not one bad item on the menu. The milk and cereal dessert was phenomenal. The staff are also amazingly helpful and knowledgeable and happy to explain and make suggestions as they bring items out. A definite must whether you're visiting or live here and worth the price. I can't wait to return again!

Amazing food. Slightly hectic because of the popularity of it, but service was great and suggestions were perfect each time. We had a wide variety of the menu and really enjoyed each round. Hot stone self cook was a highlight and dessert was outstanding. Expensive but very very good meal.

There is no other restaurant in Austin that I love as much as I love Uchiko. From sake options to cold tastings, from hot items to incredible desserts you are in for a culinary ride. Talking about desserts, always make sure to have room for dessert as they are a piece of art. If you have a bigger party go for the chef’s menu and you would love it. I once hosted a birthday party for 8 people and worked with someone from the restaurant to craft a special menu with sake pairing. It was a fantastic dinner event and everyone loved it. You are looking at a $150-250/person price point but this place will leave you wanting more. Advanced reservations are required.

Uchiko has been on my list for a long time! A gift card from a friend finally got me there which is sad that I waited so long. Incredible experience and excellent flavors! Shoutout to our server Cassandra for walking us through the whole thing. So many excellent things to choose and you absolutely must save room for dessert!! Milk and cereal was my favorite!I’m be thinking about this meal for a long time. Thanks to all the phenomenal kitchen staff and all the great servers and hostesses too!

10 course Omakase: You have a conversation about the type of taste profile you're looking for with the chef and he whips up a menu for you and your party. My wife and I enjoyed all dishes but it's the whole experience that we enjoyed the most. I recommend seating at the bar to get a glimpse of controlled chaos and see professionals at work. It's a beautiful site. We'll be back for more.

I appreciate the experimentation with flavors but I can't say they were all winners. I also didn't think the fish was that fresh but my dinner companions assure me on their previous visits the quality was much better. The mackerel and the desserts were winners (but I could skip the ice cream with olives that come with the sweet potato dessert). Love the decor and vibe. Though the waiting area is next to an ugly car park, there is complimentary valet. Service was thoughtful, prompt and informative. Reservations highly recommended.

Great experience! The entire staff is very professional and knowledgeable. My favorite was the lava rock experience I believe. They give you thin strips of Wagyu and you seer it yourself at your table. My favorite member of staff was Kelly! Kelly was very receptive to everyone's needs. It was a very busy and overcrowded Friday night. She was able to attend to all of our needs (food and drinks). Please promote her.

Our server, Morgan picked our choices for the meal based around our budget. She was a pleasure to have as a server and would not hesitate to request her again. All items we tried were excellent! Appreciate all the food runners providing details about each dish.

Outstanding sushi experience. Quality is off the charts and the imagination behind the dishes surprises you even if you’ve had that dish before. Larger than its counterpart, Uchi, so you won’t feel as sardined into the main dining area. Staff is very knowledge and happy to guide you as you work your way through the menu. My only critique was that our meal for 4 took us about 2.5 hours because of lengthy delays between dishes. Prior visits had no such issue but it was notable this time around. Nonetheless, the food is truly outstanding.

Living in Austin, I've always thought Uchiko is one of the two premier sushi places in Austin. The food, service and presentation are always absolutely first-rate. After recently traveling to San Diego and experiencing two renowned sushi restaurants there (one recently obtaining a Michelin star), I can say this place is not getting enough national recognition. The food quality, taste/texture/temperature pairing of the food and the outstanding service are beyond parallel. I would choose Uchiko over the two renowned San Diego sushi restaurants every day of the week. Austin in general does not get enough attention for its Japanese cuisine, but that's a travesty. Uchiko should be the front runner in building that reputation. Keep up the amazing work!

This restaurant is consistently incredible and never disappoints. You absolutely cannot order something that isn't delicious; it's impossible! And you can visit under any scenario. Meal alone? Perfect. Date night? Perfect. Friends night out? Perfect. Vendor dinner? Perfect. Just an overall fantastic place!

By far, the best restaurant and food experience my wife and I have ever had. We are very particular about where we get Asian/Japanese food from, and took a chance at Uchiko. The second we got there, our expectations were met, and the experience kept getting better. The complimentary valet was great, and asked if we had a reservation before we even got out of the car, something that doesn't happen often. The host were on point, getting us drinks while we waited for our table (we were early for our reservation and got sat early). But this pales in comparison to the amazing service we received from Jeremy. He helped us find a great meal for us to enjoy based on our pallets and tastes, and every selection was amazing. 10 Stars!!!

A robust menu selection, which is great for a group of people with different tastes. Food and ambiance is good, but our waiter kept forgetting our order. Love the fact that foie in Austin is adorable

Very nice ambiance. I went for a date and though it was crowded we could hear each other well across the table. The food was amazing. Interesting and not often seen pairings. The portions were small for the price to me, but my date and I ordered a few things to try and share. The service was amazing, and so helpful with recommendations and everything.

We managed to get in without a reservation, but I would recommend making one. Dallas, our server was superb. He made suggestions from their extensive menu that did not disappoint. The sake was enlightening. It's definitely a visual and taste driven experience. Bring your wallet, but the experience was worth the price.

Sat at the wine bar and did the full happy hour omakase tasting. Blown away! Forgot to take a photo until the very end because the food kept all our attention. Such a lovely place. The bartender had the most wonderful smile on his face the whole time and lit up the room. Can’t wait to come back.

Highly creative and extremely tasty sushi and Japanese fusion dishes. The serving staff are very helpful in making selections from the large range of choices, and there's an option for either chef's choice or personally tailored tasting menu. Expensive but well worth it.

We had an amazing happy hour dinner here! The food was top notch and the price for the omakase happy hour for two was great and then we got a few more 2pc nigiri’s off the happy hour menu. Our server was the best!

Blown away pretty much every time I eat here, the experience is only improved by the incredible staff. One of my favorite things to do is to give a price point and then have my server curate the best plates based on this. Don't forget to order dessert!

This was my first time visiting Uchiko! My friend who's been there on multiple occasions took me here. Our server, Tammy, catered to our allergies and made sure our dining experience was excellent. The food was incredible and dare I say better than Uchi! Everything was flavorful, beautiful, and innovative. I loved how even a simple side dish of sushi rice was flavorful and complimented our appetizer. We spent ~370 dollars total for all of our dishes, but it was worth every cent! My only gripe was that the booth seating was a bit cramped. Overall, we will certainly be returning for our next girls day out!

Wonderful for celebrations. Ivy was such a helpful host who guided us through a recommended course and fit very well with a good mix of food types. Service speed was perfect to a dime. Such a pleasurable experience!

What a great experience! We did A la carte ordering and we couldn't find a single thing we didn't like on the menu. I highly recommend the fatty tuna and pretty much anything on the menu. You seriously can't go wrong here. The atmosphere and service were fantastic. Definitely give this place a look!

I have to start my review by admitting that i eat neither raw fish nor meat. We visited Uchiko because my BF had received a gift card and I was beyond nervous regarding my food options. My concern was baseless. We had an excellent and tasty experience, supported by recommendations and guidance from our waitress. The dishes were unique &well presented. The service was spotless and attentive. While we dine out quite a lot Uchiko was standing out in many ways.
