Very dark, loud, and busy, but the food is well worth it. Fantastic flavour in the brisket pho. I love the sweet cinnamon-forward broth. The tables are very close together so be prepared to squeeze in. The bread rolls look good quality so I'd definitely try the Banh Mi next time. Highly recommend the beef brisket pho.

Loved this cute lil shop! Went on a Friday night and the place was popping. We were able to snag a seat at the community table and the service was prompt. We got dumplings to share and they were so tasty. I ordered the Singapore Noodles and it was very large and super tasty. Can’t wait to come back and try a Bahn Mi!

Last Saturday night, a group of friends and I visited Elizabeth Street Cafe in Austin, Texas. I have been to Elizabeth Street Cafe many times during my 12 years of living in Austin, and it is one of my favorites for Sunday brunch. However, I had a friend in town that I wanted to impress, so I made an Opentable reservation for dinner, which I needed to do about two weeks in advance. Seating is limited, and we were able to get an inside table for five people (The hostess was very accommodating when I needed to change my reservation last minute from 2 people to 5 people. That was fantastic). We started with the Steamed Rice Rolls as an appetizer then my friend and I shared the Vegetarian Pho (#34A on the menu) and the Fried Egg, Crispy Pork Belly, Avocado and Mint Banh Mi (#23). The food was excellent, and we had leftover pho. However, towards the end of the meal, the service suffered, and this is why I give this visit 3 stars. We were given a bill before being asked if we wanted dessert. When we paid the bill and then ordered dessert, it was brought to the table without any utensils. My friend was mortified that they expected him to eat his chocolate mousse with his hands. Furthermore, I had boasted about Elizabeth Street Cafe's pastries, so my friends ordered the beignets, which came out burnt and overdone. We didn't even finish dessert, which is a real shame. Perhaps they were just busy. Perhaps it was close to closing time (10pm) on a Saturday, and they just wanted us out of there. Whatever the case, it was not impressive. I am acquainted with one of the owners of Elizabeth Street Cafe (Mr. Moorman) and will certainly mention this next time I see him. While I will think twice about taking guests to Elizabeth Street Cafe in the future, I still believe it is some of the best trendy Vietnamese food in Austin.

Very cute French/ Vietnamese Cafe. I ordered a shrimp sandwich with vegetables, dairy-free cold Vietnamese coffee and a macron ( not pictured.) The sandwich was fresh and delicious. The macaron was okay and the coffee was delicious. This place is located in south Austin and worth the drive.

Wow- as first time visitors, my husband and I loved this spot! We tried the 10A (spring rolls), the 55, and the Bún with pork! I really enjoyed all of the flavors and the atmosphere was so cute. Definitely recommend! Don’t be afraid to try something out of your comfort zone, and always ask for recommendations!

Wow! This place is great. The staff is amazing, the food is absolutely fire, and clearly made with love. We had the BBQ pork spring rolls, the green mango and cucumber salad, the steam buns, and a tofu and mushroom vermicelli bowl. Dog friendly patio 🐶🥺

We had the sausage and scrambled egg sandwich. I forget what it was called. But it was very good. We also had the spring rolls which were outstanding. But what really put this restaurant on the map for us what are the beignets! Are over-the-top delicious.

Really cute little place away from the busy main streets. The mix of Asian and French was so unique and delicious. Their coffees were legit and everything we ate was so yummy. I loved the rice rolls and the steak and eggs. They had really good macaroons too!

We found this place by chance and it is now one of my #1 favorites in Austin! It's easy to find and they have parking in front and off street. We came on a Sunday with no reservations but had no problem getting a seat. It's pretty hot these days and really wasn't sure about sitting outside, but they have misters and fans and now without question, I would always sit outside. Very quaint place with a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu is a bit overwhelming in that everything sounded amazing and we wanted to try so much. We started off with a butter croissant and simply amazing! Very fresh and clearly they make these themselves. We arrived afternoon so all the chocolate croissants were gone but will have to go back and try those. Freshly baked goods are hard to pass up. For an appetizer, we had the Spring Rolls; I had mine with the Marinated Grilled Tofu and my friend had hers with Shrimp. Amazing spring rolls! They were so fresh and delicious. The peanut sauce wasn't quite what I've been used to at Thai restaurants; I don't know if the peanut sauce is different at a Vietnamese restaurant but it was a little bland. But by all means, make sure to have an order of the Spring Rolls. They are epic! For my meal, I had Red Curry Dan Dan Noodles with Chicken, Bok Choy, Sprouts and Thai Basal. First, come hungry because it's a huge bowl. And I hope you like spicy! Not burning your mouth spicy but definitely has some spice to it. What can I say but if I had to come up with my top ten dishes of any food or cuisine, this dish would be on that list (providing it comes from Elizabeth Street Café). The broth was amazing and the ingredients were the freshest ever! From the first bite, I was amazed at just how delicious this mixture of ingredients would be. If you want authentic Vietnamese food, I know of no better place to recommend. If you are tired of the same old food and want something fresh and delicious, you won't regret coming here! We came without reservations but I imagine they are typically busy so I would check before coming. We can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu. We live out west in Spicewood and as that area develops, we hope Elizabeth Street will consider a new location out near us!

This place is one of my favorite places to eat. Love the food and the atmosphere. Always a great meal. Makrut Lime Fried Chicken (Bún) is my favorite dish… you must try and use all of the sauce ask for a second sauce😉 The spicy chicken crunch was also very good I love the different dipping sauces.

I’m very confused. With so many reviews that are perfect or near perfect, I had Elizabeth Street Cafe on my list for a long time. I was in the area and excited for a visit and the timing was perfect for happy hour. We ordered the shady blonde punch which literally came in a pho size bowl but was filled with mostly ice that water downed the cocktail. The escargot was great, buttery and cooked perfectly. A slice of bread, some fresh herbs and the escargot makes for a spectacular bite. Leftover butter is perfect for dipping! We got two spring rolls, the spicy crunchy chicken is a must! The steak is not worth an order. The dipping sauces are nothing to write home about. My boyfriend ordered a marinated pork banh mi, which doesn’t really live up to its name or maybe it’s barely seasoned. I ordered the bun Bo hue which kind of tasted like a spiced watered down tomato soup. Average pricing is $12-15 for each dish, the most expensive was the bun Bo hue for $22. Our waitress was not very engaging and did not regularly check in on us. With the price point a bit higher for Vietnamese food and the hype, I was expecting a bit more. If you’re looking for a true authentic Vietnamese place visit the mom and pops, if you’re looking for a place with a good cocktail, I can recommend some.

Really enjoyed the vibe and ambience of this place. It's a cute cafe with beautiful wallpapers and decor. We got the hibiscus cocktail, crunchy chicken rolls, pork belly bun and Dan dan noodles. The drink was average, pork belly was decent but the crunch chicken rice paper rolls were really good. They were fresh and loved the sauces that came with it. The dan dan noodles were definitely not dan dan. This came with some curry flavored broth, it felt more like ramen. Nevertheless we enjoyed it

The food was great. The entire family was very happy with the food they ordered. Service was fantastic. The only thing I don't like is the lack of parking space

Ordered for pickup. Everything was packaged well and ready on time. The two Pho we ordered were great although they kinda skimped on the noodles. Ingredients were fresh/high quality. The one dish that was pretty bad was the grilled pork rice vermicelli plate. The grilled pork was drier than the Sahara and lacked flavor. I would not recommend it. The pho is definitely the thing to get.

Such a cute place with yummy food. Tried it for the first time for a quick lunch but was back here with family the next week. That say’s a lot about the food :). Loved all we have tried so far - noodles, banh mi, spring rolls, fried rice. Casual and comfortable vibes to enjoy some great flavors.

Came here with a friend and ordered the tofu vermicelli bowl and the fresh spring rolls. Loved everything especially the ginger jalapeno sauce that came with the spring rolls...I asked for extra sauce because it was that good. Hoping to come back and try their banh mi which looked equally as good

Perfect Sunday Brunch! Prepare to go from coffee to cocktails. Order a bunch of dishes to share! We had Breakfast Singapore Noodles, Pork & Shrimp Crepe and Shaking Steak and Eggs Sunny Side Up.

This place was tasty. The spring rolls were super good with the lettuce wrap (a little salty but the lettuce helped even it out). The lemon grass chicken pho was unique and good with the chicken wrapped around the lemongrass but the pho broth was nothing crazy with flavor. The banh mi was good. Very small place and you feel like you’re on top of the table sitting next to you and long wait because of how popular it is.

Hot spot on south first, very trendy and casual. They use quality ingredients, the food overall has good flavor. There are more authentic places if that is your interest…however, this place is about vibe. This is one of the more expensive Vietnamese spot in town. It is always super busy so expect a wait and parking is very limited. I highly recommend their banh mi sandwiches, I personally love the egg and crispy pork. Also, the ginger chili oil dumplings are great. Skip on the pho at this place, other menu items are better. Singapore noddles++

Our experience at Elizabeth st. cafe was superb, our waitress Sarah she's so friendly and professional, she took good care and services for our first experience at Elizabeth st cafe, also provide a excellent service to our puppy Luna, my husband and I enjoy our brunch after hiking at here, and we will definitely come back with friends again and again. Five stars experience and service. Thank you Sarah ❤️

Banh mi was simple and on a sweet roll or something like a hit dog bun. The fried rice was over salted and the rice was cooked in stock. The spring rolls were like fried dumplings. Oh and you better book or order take out online first, they seemed a bit put out that we just turned up to order. Oops.

It’s a very cute place. We would have to visit again to change my rating but for now this will do. We didn’t like the seating experience inside. The tables are extremely close to each other. We might just do outside next time. However service 💯 thank you to our waitress I’m so sorry I don’t remember your name but you were so awesome and made the experience way better Ginger tea 8/10 The egg rolls 7/10 The Nutella eclair 10/10 perfection would totally go back for this and to try other desserts they didn’t have available

I don’t understand how they have a kind of low rating because everything here was delicious! This place will be at the top of my list to go to again when I come back to Austin. The flavors had just enough kick without being spicy. Also try the dumplings!

Absolutely worth a visit, and was certainly worth a little wait (appx 40min, Saturday 4:15pm-ish) to eat at this clever & charming cafe. Haley hooked it up w/ several great recommendations, incl. the Pork Meatball Bahn Mí, which was surprisingly light & satisfying. The bread was perfectly soft but w/ a crisp exterior. The red wine, a humble blend that mellowed the spices from the sand-o. Had the Pot de Crème, which was more of a caramel-fudge style, rather than the chiffon whip situation one might find. Very sweet, like a Snickers. I couldn't quite finish it - you could def split it w/ a friend. Oh? You don't have any friends? Well, maybe take a look in the mirror, pally. Ask yourself some hard questions about what it means to *give*, ok, in a relationship? The oat milk cortado was perfectly executed. Cheers!

Well, the Maguire Moorman group are no strangers to making great restaurants and this one is no exception. If you are a fan of the flavors of Vietnam, you will be right at home here. The french pastries also very good. I recommend the fried spring roll. Their carpaccio is a different take on the dish that you have definitely never had and is amazing. The Singapore Noodles are amazing and the Bahn Cuon will knock your socks off. All of the bahn mi are excellent as well. Go!

Came for dinner on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised to hear I was just in time for happy hour (4-6pm). They had both food and drink deals. I had a pork spring roll at happy hour price. I was torn between that and all the other roles but the waitress made a recommendation including the chicken thigh and meatball pho. She didn’t lead me astray although while the pork spring roll was tasty, I’d probably try a different one next time. The pho though was another story. It was so flavorful and every bite put me in a happy place. I wish the bowl hadn’t been so big because I was really hoping I could’ve finished my meal but their generous portion defeated me.
