I’m not one to put a review based on customer service alone but this place missed their shot on the food as well. I’ve been to many brunch spots with poor customer service but this place also tastes the way they work. My eggs were cold when I received them and my fiancé didn’t receive her plain pancakes (which is all she ordered) until I was already done with my plate. There was no explanation or apology as well. The food here is overpriced and lacks flavor. The potatoes taste so bland and dry although they look like they will be good, but you will be disappointed. Sorry Kerby we will be taking our business elsewhere.

I've been going to Kerbey Lane for years and it's always solid. The only issue is when they get busy, you end up waiting a bit. They all work hard here and try to make sure you enjoy your visit and the food. The food is fresh and they like to use local sources for their ingredients so it's great quality. I usually come here for breakfast. This trip included biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, and pumpkin pancakes and I'm super happy with this comfort meal. Now it's time to go enjoy a cat nap.

Hi Y'all... I'm sooooio happy to have decided on giving Kerby Lane on William Cannon a try this morning, I have dine @ the Guadalupe St location several times, but the (William Cannon) location takes the Win for sure... Madison is the BOMB, she's the most attentive, courteous and sweet server I've meet, and boi she knows her trade... These guys were having some HEAVY traffic for breakfast & Madison held her own... Oh, did I mention my food was scrumptious? Well, I shall repeat it, my food was scrumptious... 😁... Y'all take care and don't forget to stop by Kerby Lane (William Cannon) in the near future... Enjoy!

the wait is super long.. waited for more than 45 mins. every time i asked the person who's responsible to seats us said oh your table is being cleaned, apparently 20 more people just walked in. instead of saying 15min she kept saying being cleaned. service is not good. drink is not refilled, had to ask for straws and didn't check on us after food delivered to our table. the good thing is they have gluten free options and healthy choices if you're vegan. size of the pancake is good and try the chocolate chip pancakes 🥞 😋

This Kerbey Lane cafe location is spacious with many tables and easy access parking. The place is always clean, never have I experienced a sticky table for example. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and responsive. Even on a Saturday morning with a full restaurant, we were seated quickly and served within 15 minutes after ordering. Now to the most important part, the food. The food quality at this location is impeccable. This visit I tried the baked potato omelet, which is an unexpectedly delicious flavor combination. The chicken tortilla soup was reportedly also delicious in combination with a beautiful Bloody Mary. One great thing about this restaurant is the food is consistently good quality.

By far the worst meal I have had a Kerby Lane. I ordered the Green Chile Mac and it was a soupy blend of cheese sauce with kids chicken tenders on top. I also ordered a Kids Mac and Cheese, and it was just a side of the Green Chile Mac. Very disappointing, see images.

Took 15 minutes before anyone said hello and gave me a menu. I asked for fries, and for them to be well done. She repeated: “extra crispy, got it”. The fries were barely cooked, a few of them were still raw potato. First few times coming here I loved the atmosphere, but now all you hear is the music coming from the kitchen at a way too loud volume, where that’s all people inside can hear. At least there’s cool local art on the wall. Never coming here again. Used to be a really nice place to come after work, now it’s a chore in how much I’m willing to tolerate.

I love Kerby Lane and been to multiple locations. This location by far more than multiple times have no put egg in my breakfast taco. I even put on the order add extra egg. All I got to say is be careful with ordering breakfast tacos here especially to-go

We came here because of the reviews. The service and kitchen is very slow. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. The place doesn't seem very clean. Switch plate covers were missing. I needed to ask for new silverware once I opened mine because the knife had some crusted item on it. The tables were sticky. The food was nothing special as far as taste wise. I can't believe they charged us for the plain maple syrup!!! I think my cooking tastes better and that is not saying much. We had two different flavored pancakes ordered and the plain ones came instead. We had to wait another 15 minutes for the right ones to come out. The prices were reasonable. We will not come back.

Make sure to arrive early where Kerbey Lane Cafe is still a very popular place to eat. When my wife and I arrived there was already a wait to sit down. Luckily since it was just the two of us we waited about 20 minutes. They were even asking some if they wanted to sit outside in the 100 degree heat where I saw only two take the challenge. Its a very casual hangout where the food is good. I have not eaten at this location in a while where mostly dined at the Mueller location. It is not as fancy as that place but still delivers. I ordered the Summer Chicken with a Hibiscus Mint Tea. It was a full meal with lightly breaded all natural chicken breast covered in their homemade roasted red bell pepper tomato sauce as their seasonal menu explained. The sides were bacon cheddar mashed potatoes & garlicky steamed broccoli where all were presented well. With all this explanations the chicken tasted pretty darn well where it had a nice flavor. It was like a homestyle meal. The staff was nice and did a great job handling the rush where even when we left there was still people arriving and waiting for spot to sit.

Food was solid, but our waitress really tailed off on service at the end. The bathroom hallway was getting re-tiled and was an active construction zone, so made getting to the bathroom a little tricky. DON’T order the margarita, worst thing I’ve EVER tasted.

We had a party of 8. We tried to take advantage of their call ahead seating. We were told one hour so we arrived 20 minutes ahead. We still ended up eating an additional hour before we were seated. My husband and I both ordered the Texas egg Benedict. The portion was huge; we could have easily shared and was tasty. However, although the photo showed plenty of Benedict sauce, there was not nearly enough. We asked for more sauce and they charged us $2.79 for a side of sauce. There was hardly any on the plate to begin with. I don’t think we should have been charged. In addition, our eggs were over cooked. Not sure it was worth the hour and a half wait for our meals.

This has been in my list of breakfast spots for a while and so glad we visited it last weekend. It's a great place for American breakfast and some dishes that have Mexican spices fused in. I ordered Chicken Benedict which was listed under one of their specialties. It's basically chicken and poached eggs over biscuits, with hollandaise sauce over. Totally loved my dish! The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. The biscuits were of the right consistency too. Not too hard nor too soft and the sauce was just lip smacking good!! Rating-5⭐️ for taste and fullness 2nd dish we ordered was California omelet was was not bad, it was a good omelet but I didn't find it wow. Found it a little bland for my palate but if you are someone who likes subtle taste, you can give this a try with some salt and pepper. Rating - 4⭐️ for taste and 3.5⭐️ for fullness 3rd- pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs- this is a classic dish that cannot go wrong. Bacon was crispy, pancakes were soft and fluffy and my fav was the sausage patty here. This dish came with a side of fresh fruits. Rating- 5⭐️ for taste and fullness Overall favorite - Crispy chicken Benedict♡ They also have some freshly squeezed orange juice. Ps. Wait time to get seated- 1hour so plan accordingly

I tried the pumpkin bread French toast plate, it was amazing! It comes with eggs and choice of side, the bacon was perfect. Enjoy it while it is here. Sorry I was hungry so there's a bite missing from the photo. But definitely try it out if you get the chance, I really couldn't finish it all so have a nice treat for later as well.

Title: Kerbey Lane: A Perfect Breakfast Haven Kerbey Lane is an absolute gem for breakfast, offering a diverse menu with options for every palate. Personally, I can't get enough of the Pumpkin French Toast Platter and the delectable Kerbey Queso, which comes paired with guacamole and salsa – a flavor explosion! What makes the experience even better is the ease of planning – reserving a table is a breeze through their online system. The convenience continues with the straightforward payment method using scan-to-pay receipts. Portion sizes are satisfying, leaving you fueled for the day ahead. The attentive service provided by the staff adds a touch of warmth to the overall dining experience. Without a doubt, Kerbey Lane deserves a perfect 5 out of 5 for its fantastic breakfast offerings, seamless processes, and exceptional service. It's the ideal spot to kickstart your day!

We've been going to Kerby Lane for over twenty years now, it's been a family staple for ages, but today was just not it. I ordered the breakfast platter with pancakes eggs and sausage, and my eggs ended up being inedible (not fully cooked even for over easy, and they were cold like they'd been sitting around for a while), things were busy in there, it felt like maybe they were understaffed, so while our server was trying to help us fix the egg problem she was also running around helping several other tables and leaving us up wait, I don't fault her but I think a few more hands would have been a great help to everyone in today.

This place had such potential but…our server was the worst. Had to ask for everything, twice or three times i.e. napkins, sweetener, coffee refills while she forgot every time and then stood at a computer talking with other staff. Asked for home fries to be crispy but not only weren’t they crispy but they were cold. The chicken on my eggs Benedict was overcooked and dried out. But the rest of the Benedict was wonderful including the hollandaise sauce. Small pancake order is huge and they were fluffy but not hot, but fluffy. When I wanted to pay once again server was missing in action so I took my receipt to the manager who said the server will take care of it. When I told him about her performance he took the check and gave it to her behind the counter. He didn’t even ask me to tell specifics and to give him more information. It’s as if he didn’t care at all. So in my estimation: Potential= 5 Execution =1.

Cute breakfast spot for our group of four. I appreciate the wait-list functionality that let us join before we got there. We were able to get seated within ten minutes of getting there and checking in with the host. I split the Lemon Poppy Seed French Toast Platter and Cuban Benedict with Home Fries with one other person and it was the perfect amount of food. I usually love French Toast but the lemon poppy seed with lemon glaze was too sweet and cakey to my liking. The Cuban Benedict was great and savory though. Overall an enjoyable experience and I'd be open to coming back.

Every dish I've tried at Kirby has been delicious. Salads are huge & filling. Tortilla soup has a little spicy kick to it but I love it. Staff is so friendly.

2 stars because I’ve been eating at Kerbey Lane since the 90’s… But realistically things have fallen off quite a bit. Poached eggs… One picture is over cooked and when I asked to have them redone with a soft yolk I was brought the other picture. Which is an undercooked egg sitting in water and I couldn’t move it to my plate… Is what it is. Every restaurant seems to have issues these days and that includes the long standing Austin iconic joints too.

Vegan Beware! I went here specifically to get a vegan breakfast. I ordered and was brought a plate which had red sauce over the "vegan" eggs. After eating 2 or 3 bites, I was curious about the brand of vegan eggs. Oops! Nope! Regular Eggs and Regular Dairy Cheese. This was after discussion of Vegan options with my server. Mr Smiley Server just shrugged. Very disappointed.

My wife LOVES Kerby Lane! It is not my favorite decor but the food is really good. So on occasion we go there, as was today's trip, a treat for her. We both had Denver omelets plus one buttermilk pancake to share. Service was slow, our waitress was learning the ropes. Omelets were delicious.

Kerbey Lane has always been good and this location held up it’s consistency. Great selection on breakfast items and friendly service. Look forward to coming back! Good coffee too!

The only reason I’m not giving 1 star is because I used to have so much respect and love for kerbey lane. Maybe I’ll go here again but definitely not soon and never ordering Delivery from them again. They got every item wrong in some way and the quality of food and taste is not what it used to be. They never brought back the bi-monthly vegan pancake and my friend had an allergic reaction to dairy from the “vegan” pancakes the last time we went to eat at the location on Guad. Disappointed and spoiled my appetite.
