At Aubergine you can get nice food for awesome prices. They sold out of diet coke and Orangina, but it was no problem to just order (free) tap water. Friendly staff that does speak a bit of English. Fast service, I would definitely visit again.

An ok meal close to our hotel. Unfortunately the cod was slightly overcooked and the risotto had weird additions like almond slivers and uncooked tomatoes. Didn't love the dinner, but it will do in a pinch.

Food very average. The vegetable gratin was just tomato, no other discernible vegetables. The pasta with prawns was okay but needed salt and no spoon provided so made it difficult to eat. Including prawn heads entirely unnecessary as the garlic sauce made it difficult to deal with

Food, service and atmosphere were quite good for the price but on the negative side, I would say the table we were given was very small and located in a corner next to the stairs and a shelve for cutlery and napkins. On the positive side, dogs are allowed inside, so you can bring your four legged friend with you.

Fantastic restaurant, thankfully open past 2pm (when most others close) and even had a vegetarian burger on the menu. Very helpful staff.

What a spectacular restaurant!! The Iberian Pork was delicious, such a delicacy with rich flavours. Definitely coming back here again (I already went twice in a row…)

Food was good. There was some confusion amongst waiting staff which resulted in food being delayed. Good to see some vegetarian options.

Normally quite a good place, but with the new season and the new waiters the vibe is not there. Old bread, undercooked fish for the kids, molten ice-cream and cold coffee....some improvement should be made.

Really friendly staff, but the food was quite disappointing. We ordered the courgette cannelloni, which was very plain: some sheep cheese in a raw slice of courgette. We also had the apero platter (to share), which was okay. However, the tropical salad we ordered was really quite disappointing. Just some iceberg lettuce, drenched in a plain curry dressing, with a few pieces of pineapple and very plain chicken. We paid 55 euros for this, which we thought was very overpriced, especially since there are many affordable restaurants nearby that serve much better food. We shared our disappointments with our waitress and skipped dessert.

The burger was delicious, the ambience was delightful, they answered our silly questions and made us a “custom” dish. Very friendly and enjoyable - we went twice!

Had dinner on the terrace, which is really the village place where they installed their tables in a corner. Only negative is cars passing by to buy cigarettes at a nearby bar-tabac and the Mistral wind which was pretty strong on the day we went. Food is excellent for the price, not fancy but still refined enough to be appreciated. Service in very good English helped to understand the menu and even though they were over-worked, they were running back and forth to keep everyone happy.

It is often a struggle to find restaurants willing to accomodate vegetarian dietary needs. The first time we ate at aubergine we found one vegetarian item on the menu which was very tasty with excellent service. The second time we went, we waited for over half an hour for service and ordered the same dish because the chef refused to modify any of the other menu items. The veggie burger arrived cold with a tiny piece of aubergine to represent the "burger". Inedible...sad but I will have to blog about my experience for other potential diners benefit. As our waiter pointed out to us, the chef was quite mean about our simple request. And our review must reflect that negative energy and poor prep and flavor.

A lovely little restaurant in a wonderful village. There is outside and inside seating and the food is great and not expensive. The owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful. I went there several times in my stay in nearby Avignon. I will definitely be going back and would recommend this as a wonderful experience for an evening out.

Excellent selection of pre dinner drinks (Provence olive-based cocktail was surprisingly delicious as was the white wine & pear option!) and excellent food with very friendly and attentive service. Only downside was the cuisson of the steak and duck, a bit overdone compared to the request for rare. Also great wine!
