Beans plaza is located in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka(UNIZIK) main Campus. It is bordered by the New Faculty of Arts building, Chuckies Restaurant and the Multipurpose Hall a.k.a MPH. This place popularly known as Bamboo by students (derived from the bamboo fencing then) comprises a collection of food vendors who prepare the african menu with the Beans porridge being the conventional food. This solves the mystery behind the name Beans Plaza. In addition to food vendors, are SME's dealing in stationery, internet, photocopy and typing. A tour in UNIZIK is not noteworthy without a visit to Bamboo(Beans Plaza).
