I'm giving this 2 stars because the gym looks nice and it's quite clean. Plus, it's one of the few gyms that's opened on a Sunday. And the front desk person was nice. I was highly disappointed at the free weights section. There's only one squat rack and the weights selection goes from 5s to 10s to 25s and then 45s, and they are not the same weights. Not a big deal for the average gym goer but a huge deal for me. Also, the rack position was either too short or too tall and I almost hurt myself several times. The bench press stations were interesting. No room for a spotter and the bench was real low with the rack position, again, being too high or too low. I'm average height and I don't have this issue at other gyms. Additionally, there is no day pass. I literally had to download the app and pay for a monthly membership just to use the gym for one day.

The gym is absolutely amazing. The trainers are good and the classes are great.

My experience at pure fitness was very unpleasant. As a new joiner, I didn't know how to use most of the equipment. Staff were very unwilling to show me how to use them even though I had paid for a plan. They argued that I didn't pay for the 50k plan that includes the services of a trainer. I don't think that's fair because I am not asking anyone to train me, I am asking you to show me how to use the equipment so I don't injure myself. It's not a good place to start if you are a first timer or relatively new to the gym and can't afford the services of a trainer.

Very uncomfortable gym if you're trying to get any cardio in. It is always HOT like an oven (before and after COVID). Not sure if it's a cost-saving thing or their ACs are just old. Many machines are out of service and there are no trained professionals to help in case of an emergency (which happened while I was there) It's probably one of the cheapest gyms on the island, so there is that. But I would not risk accident, fainting or that level of discomfort for a couple thousand Naira savings.

The gym is always playing very loud workout music as early as 7am at times and that disturbs the whole neighbourhood. Neighbours have complained to them severally but they continued. They need to have some consideration for people in the neighbourhood. Besides it's only a gym and not a night club so there is no need to play workout music as loud as they do daily. Their lack of regard for Neighbours is appallingly to say the least.

Just like its name; It's your go to Central for achieving your fitness goals. I recently moved to Lekki and tag along with my colleague when looking for a gymnasium. The experience has been great so far. There are lots of equipments and they are easy to use; the trainers are readily available to put you through if you have difficulties using any equipment. They people and the staff have been top notch. You'd love it here. Check it out.

We had the tabata fit festival 4.0 in pure fitness Africa, it was a very good experience. The receptionists were so kind and courteous.

Amazing gym with good equipments as well as different workout activities but what they need to work on us their changing rooms, if u pay for services I believe it should be rendered, the water smells so you can even take a shower after you bath and then they always run out of water.

I absolutely recommend. If you're a first timer, it works faster if you get a personal trainer or you go with someone who knows a lot about the gym and equipment. Really spacious. Neat. The staff are courteous and you always have someone assist you if you need it. The prices are fair too. What's not to love here? 😍😍😍😍

Well equipped gym with cordial trainers. The regular clients will make you feel welcome. The changing room also has shower and toilet facilities for professionals who like to exercise before work/meetings, or busy mum's. Finally there are healthy refreshments inform of water and juice and smoothies (slightly pricey though).

Good workout space with Classes and sufficient equipment. It does get full at peak hours but as long as you're comfortable sharing equipment with others it shouldn't be a worry. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A few equipment need some maintenance but overall a great experience. They have good opening and closing times as well.

Place is beautiful, even though almost hidden, it's a fitness enthusiast's paradise. Massive and properly spaced equipment with support for even boxing practice(ill equipped in this aspect). Excellent customer service as well.

The most popular gym on the Island. Gym has enough equipments for full body workout. Gets crowded in the evenings, better to go in the morning or early afternoon. Price is okay and the staff are polite

Best gym ,best coaches .. as at when I join the gym a month ago I was size 16 xxl but in just one month of becoming a member have reduced to size 14 which is xl, it’s so fun Not painful at all ,am now addicted to gym and I love it .

Really good gym with very affordable membership options to suit your fitness goals. Prices affordable as low as 4k, 6k and 10k naira monthly. Only downside is how hot it gets, especially with the air conditioning not cooling optimally as one would expect of a proper gym. Best bet is to go at a time when it's less crowded. Other than that, it's a nice gym.

The gym is alright. Only my second day here but just got kicked out of my 2st class by the 3-2-1 trainer for carrying a weight size he deemed “too small!”! This is despite me letting him know I have an injured shoulder that needs time to adjust to my returning to exercising! Arrogant S.O.* 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Fitness Central is a very lovely place and affordable

It's very difficult to find, and there are no flashing sign posts anywhere. But then, it is clear the owners and managers of Fitness Central neither want nor need the extra publicity. Their business clearly depends on word of mouth marketing aka referrals. And it clearly works. The joint is buzzing at virtually all hours. And for good reason It's a large complex, with a lot of high quality equipment. Add to that the number of trainers on hand, good sized changing room and hot water, and it's a winning combo. Very nice indeed. Oh yes, it costs next to nothing practically.
