The best camp with the best camping experience. I camped there with my friends back then in 2017. It was a wonderful experience though stressful but it was really good. They have nice facilities that they have also upgraded to modern standard. I really appreciate Governor Ifeanyichukwu Okowa for His good works. He has really tried to renovate the old structures and build new ones too. In 2018, he opened a 700 modern 3 in one rooms in the camp. They also have different worshipping church for different denominations. They also have mami market where you can buy different things you can use. You can also buy different foods and drinks there. It's really a nice place to be.

It's a good NYSC Orientation camp ground. It is serene and modern compared to other orientation camps. The observe all the NCDC COVID-19 protocol to avoid transmission of the virus from testing to vaccinations. The hostel is spacious and aerated, toilet and bathroom is modern, water is available 24hours of the day. Cleaners are available to help in major cleanings of the surroundings. Almost every needed items are available in the Mami market and are extremely expensive so PCMs should come with every item needed or come with enough cash.

The soldiers are very friendly,I can't say anything about the food because I never ate there(was a regular customer at Mami). The environment is Serene. It was a nice experience for me. I enjoyed my volleyball team and my make up SAED classes

Spacious enough to accommodate 2,500 individuals, having a good camp field and toilets in strategic places. The water supply is under improvement services as water tanks are situated at every blocks within the camp premises.

Delta camp is really nice. The parade ground is perfect for sport activities, especially the football pitch. The hall is big enough to accommodate corpers, the kitchen area is clean and well organized. The hostels were alright and looked like they were recently renovated and no mosquitoes, seems they fumigated the camp before we arrived. Overall the facilities were alright honestly.

NYSC Orientation Camp, Delta State located at Ussele-Uku. Newly renovated facilities with a newly built lecture hall. A great experience awaits corps participants posted here.

Not as bad as I expected. It can be a mixture of both fun and stress because the mami market is actually far from the hostel. You can get anything you want as far as it's something you need as a corper. Ordering your local dish is pretty easy but I'm not sure the quality is worth the price except the beans and plantains worth 200. The environment and atmosphere just as every other part of Delta State is cool and conducive. Life is generally awesome here at Isselu-uku orientation camp.

The environment is big, green and serene. The multipurpose hall is quite big, and more than a 1k seater capacity. It however can be very hot as there are neither fans nor air conditions.

The male hostel is average. for someone that was a boarder in secondary school it wasn't a big deal. Bunk beds with foams. Don't bother buying anything while coming here. You'll get all you need at the Mami market. Food is pretty cheap too and good. Just behave yourself and you won't have problems with the army guys here.

The stadium as been abandoned and as such the structure and facilities in it as become dilapidated, from the gate entrance one can see the over grown grass and weeds, the wire protector by the seating area as all been stolen, the track is pilling off and swollen. It's just a sorry site.

This is the NYSC orientation camp, where corp members are to live in for three weeks after they have been posted to Delta State. When I went here, I was required to isolate and was allowed to mingle with the rest of the corp members only after my Covid-19 came out negative.

Maximum respect to the military over there, my experience was tough and rugged. But as RSM usually says, "The only easy days were yesterday, harder days are yet to come." Where is Salamutu?🤣🤣🤣

Its actually a nice place and we all understand its a camp and not our home so we dont expect much satisfaction but they really try their best in terms of parade, counseling, being friendly and they try giving us the best but we are different people from different region so we all can't be satisfy Thanks

Served as Batch B 2023 Corp Member. From my experience, It's one of the best Camps out there. The Only little let down is that the Mami market is far from the hostels. Aside that Every other thing is in good place.

The NYSC Orientation Camp 🏕 is located in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North LGA of Deltans State. The Orientation Camp is massive, cold, serene and green. It has a 3000 capacity hall which has not only served as a lecture hall for the campers but has served as a hall which hosted the Delta State Ministry of Youth Development Rural Youth Skill Acquisition Programme (RYSA) 2021 Edition Opening Ceremony and Tertiary Institution Entrepreneurship Programme (TEP). The Orientation Camp is also conducive for campers as the camp is usually fumigated. The Camp Officials and NYSC Officials are friendly and accommodating while on a general note Delta State is very welcoming to corp members, I can say that for one who served in this State. Prospective Corp Members should note the following: 1. The Orientation Camp is really cold especially in the mornings and at night. So it’s important you get items to help you stay warm. 2. Extra source of power (Power bank) is important for your phones. 3. All Network seems to be working 4. Ladies ensure you have more than enough toiletries and undies to help you stay fresh and clean always. 5. The ground is not tarred so for comfort and to avoid having a messy shoe during the rainy season, invest in some good pair of Crocs, rubber boots, shoe, slippers or sandals. 6. The morning drills are usually fun and interesting. OBSERVATIONS 1. No toilet attached to the NYSC Orientation Hall. 2. The water doesn’t flow into the hostel toilets. 3. A lot of development are ongoing in the Orientation Camp which I envision which give a face lift to the camp in some few years time. 4. Currently, a drainage project is ongoing in the camp, just after the security house at the gate through till towards the front of the hall.

I came here for NYSC sport festival zonal preliminaries. The place is better than my state NYSC camp. It's very wide had have good facilities. The field is very smooth for sporting activities. The camp is located close to town and not somewhere far in the bush like other NYSC camps.

The Orientation camp is the best among others in the country, a fumigated environment free of insects and rodents, serene environment with very conducive hostels, a spacious lecture/event hall with hospitable staff. A high tolerance for religion practicing. The State Coordinator is a workaholic and his putting the best in place.

It is a good place to be, full of fun and experiences. Though a regimented area.

  • 3/5 Michael A. 2 years ago on Google
It was a memorable experience indeed! The environment is quiet conducive plus no mosquitoes. Also, the camp officials were like families, the State Coordinator and the Camp Director were like Fathers to us. I love every bit of it. I'm Michael, Okpe hostel governor a.k.a Senior Corper.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were to go through our life without any obstacles, we would be crippled. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. Give every opportunity a chance, leave no room for regrets.

  • 4/5 Utibe N. 4 years ago on Google
It is located few minutes drive from the capital of Asaba, in the town of Iselle Uku. A town with rich traditional and cultural history. It was a very scenic environment. It had trees and lush vegetation around. It was devoid of mosquitoes, rodents and other pests. Buildings were fairly spaced and we'll arranged . It has recreational grounds for various sporting activities. There's a car park for vehicles, standby water supply system and proper sewage disposal system in place for proper hygiene/sanitised environment. There was a makeshift market to take care of every purchasing need by Corp members. It was a nice time being there.

I had fun time during my short time there, you meet people from different tribes and background ...the marmi market is the life of the camp you get everything you want there including VIP toilets and bathrooms just in case you don't want to use that of the hostel, and foods at very affordable prices
